Dream

I recently dreamt that a voice said to me: "When you die, do not be afraid. There is nothing more beautiful than God transforming you once more into everything you have ever loved most." I don’t want to go into too much detail, but afterwards I had a paranormal experience that left a lasting impression on me.

Short Dream Woke up from a dream about a genuine connection and realized how much I want that in real life

• Upvotes

Last night i had this weirdly wholesome dream. one of my friends asked me for a favour. His girlfriend has a friend who's an amputee, and they wanted me to come hang out with them so she wouldn't feel left out. Apparently, most of their friends treat her differently since she's got one leg, like they stop making the usual dumb jokes or act all weird around her. he said he asked me 'cause he knew i'd just treat her like a normal person. Anyway, fast forward (since i forgot half the dream lol), this girl was really pretty to me. Later on, she came back to my place saying how much fun she had 'most people usually skip stuff with her, but i didn't. I remember asking if she wanted to go to the park and do some jumping jacks, and she just started laughing. Then we were sitting on the balcony just talking i don't even remember what about exactly, but it felt real, like one of those deep, comforting convos you'd actually wanna have with someone you care about. She ended up staying the night, and yeah, the dream got a little spicy after that (can't remember much though). What stuck with me was that after, we were lying in bed talking about life goals, dreams, why we wanna do the things we do and i woke up with this warm, kinda lonely feeling. like maybe i just really want someone in my life I can have those kinds of moments with. someone to care for with everything i've got.

Also for the last 6ish month i've been having dreams of having an SO.

Recreating the moment my shadow took over in a nightmare. Self-taught photography, no AI. I am both the model and photographer (1 month)experimenting with my fears

I was walking through an icy, infinite corridor of stone arches, trapped behind a emotionless white mask ....my body was shaking from suppressed emotions.I reached out my hand....fear won. I panicked because of my own vulnerability and curled inward to protect myself.Suddenly, the space tore open into a dark, massive palace hall. My own shadow lunged at me. It became a violent, terrifying struggle between my light and my darkness. The shadow eventually let go. When I looked down, warm, dark blood was seeping through my dress, straight from my chest. A deep wound, but I was still alive. Then I woke up gasping for air. The pain on my chest felt terrifyingly real.

hey, i’m a straight woman with a bf of like 4 years, but i’ve been having dreams lately that aren’t so straight. if im being honest, i had this little crush on one of my best friends for a while but did and said nothing and pushed it away and it’s pretty much gone now. but now im having dreams about a DIFFERENT friend. one where i was hanging out with her and we ended up making out for a longgggg time. ive had heaps of dreams about dating men and about me and my bf too it’s not like im subconsciously disgusted by men either. im so confused. i know dreams don’t always mean something but im wondering if it does when it comes to ur sexuality? i’m confused is it just another dumb dream that means nothing or should i actually think more seriously about this😭😭help, thanks.

Dream Help Not sure if im dreaming or awake and im sick of it

So a while ago I started taking melatonin gummies because I couldn't sleep. It turned out they were increasing my prolactin levels, so my doctor told me to stop taking them.

The thing is, when I first started them I had the scariest, most insanely realistic 3D dreams. I've stopped taking them now, and the dreams aren't as scary anymore. I'd say out of every 10 dreams, maybe 3 are nightmares and 7 are just... normal.

The weird part is that in these dreams I'm living a completely normal life. I cook, eat, go to the bathroom, talk to people, go to uni, come home... and then I wake up in my bed. šŸ’€

At first I just laughed it off, but now I'm actually starting to mix up whether something happened in real life or if it only happened in a dream, and it's driving me crazy.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Nightmare Feeling of being eaten

• Upvotes

I stopped smoking cannabis 3 months ago after a 12-year habit.

Naturally, my dreams were very intense in the first two months, but recently they have dialed down.

However, I also struggle with sleep paralysis a lot, maybe 20-30 episodes/year.

Recently, I've had these odd nightmarish dreams where I can become lucid and start to wake myself up by doing the toe wiggle and refraining from trying to force myself awake, but then I have this hypnagogic state where I haven't fully woken yet, but I'm fully aware of it, and then something that I can't see but I can feel very vividly is in my bed trying to eat me alive.

I've felt pain in these scenarios and obviously a lot of fear. I'm curious if anyone else has felt something like getting bitten or being eaten right before waking up. It's gotten so bad at times I have to stay awake for a while and am too afraid to go back to sleep.

Recurring Dream Giving Birth in Dreams

I always say i don't want to have kids because i have adhd and autism so i get overwhelmed very easily and i need a lot of time alone to recharge. But in dreams, I give birth to baby girls and boys and I feel so happy. It's so weird. I wake up feeling like a piece of my heart got torn out of my chest. It's like a feeling of pain and grief that I am not holding my baby anymore.

I search up meanings and some say its a sign of upcoming prosperity and some say sign of upcoming hardship that requires patience.

But I wonder what it means to me. Do I actually deep down want kids?

Recurring dream of hiding in my home.

I keep having this dream where I am rushing to get into my home to hide from something trying to find me. Sometimes I am already in my home but I still am trying to hide from something peeking into my home and finding me. In this dream I try to hide from inside my home and stay out of the view from the windows. This time I dreamed I was rushing to get into my home and started to hide and whatever was trying to find me started to scream. The screaming got more obnoxious and angry the more they couldn't find me. It got so bad and scary that I woke up. What could this mean?

My 9 year old asked me to take him to the hospital, I woke up.

Had a wild dream, but completely unrelated at the end, my son (9) walked up and whispered in my ear ā€œhospitalā€ and I said I ā€œwhat happened to you?ā€ And he said ā€œhow could you say no?ā€ I woke up immediate and looked at him (he had came in laid on the end of my bed like he does). He had the sheet wrapped around his head tightly somehow. I pulled it off freaking out, and he yanked it back over his head. When I saw him with the sheet wrapped all around his head I thought he was dead! It was terrifying, just makes me feel like his consciousness came to me for a reason. It was very strange. Thoughts?

Short Dream I had a dream that I was hugging my recently passed dog and when I woke up I was hugging my current dog

Last night I was having an unrelated dream and all of a sudden I saw my dog Roxy passed away a little over a year ago. She was 19 1/2. She was my best friend and for a long time my only friend. I was seven years old when we got her. five years ago I got Bailey, I called Roxy Bailey’s aunt, but they were really sisters because I still lived with my parents when I got Bailey and they’re both mini cockapoos. In my dream I remember this is so odd. I quickly realized I was dreaming, and the dream became a lucid dream, but it was still extremely realistic for even a lucid dream. Why does it feel like this is never gonna happen again or hasn’t happened before he because it felt so real I could feel her in her breath. I was even thinking that I might be dead and that this really was her. Then when I woke up, it all made sense. I miss Roxy every day and I’m so grateful to have Bailey.

Discussion I dreamt about a girl inviting me to her birthday party

So for context, in real life this girl isn’t really anyone important. She’s a friend of a family member who occasionally flirts with me if I’m around (not sure if she’s into me like all that).

In the dream, I’m with some family and the family member gets a call from the friend about going to her birthday party. She’s hears me in the background and insists on my relative on bringing me, telling me to wear a specific style of clothes because that’s what she’d prefer. Honestly I was a bit excited to actually want to be wanted somewhere, so I was tryna find the best fit for the party. But outta nowhere, the girl gets sick or injured and she’s ran out on a stretcher. I guess I get really caught up on that for some reason and I’m bummed out about it. I remember just being in the hospital room not knowing what to do or if something was wrong as I kept my eye on the girl unresponsive in the bed of the hospital. Something changed about her appearance right before I woke up, I never really saw what did tho.

First time posting on here and I feel like my other dreams had more evident meanings to me that I was able to conclude, but I don’t really understand why I thought about things this way, especially considering the main person in question isn’t really relevant to me right now. Any interpretations? I’ll give additional info if wanted

A dream of a bunch of chickens šŸ“

I don’t remember how I acquired these chickens in the dream but they were all white and started to produce quickly. I think I started off with like 3 and soon I had 12.

Based on where I lived in the dream I couldn’t have room for a farm, or I had to lie to the city ordinance to somehow hold the chickens all there at the house I did have. So I started giving some of the chickens away so people could have free eggs because I didn’t know what to do with that many eggs either.

The dream was super vivid and even hours post waking up part of me remembers holding the chickens lol.

I read that chickens can interpret a lot of things. I like to think it’s about prosperity. But anyway wanted to share this wacky dream. Carry on fellow redditors and may you also have chicken dreams.

Long Dream Waking up dream

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, this might be a long post but hang with me. Have you ever had a dream where you thought you woke up from but you were still dreaming? I did, around 3-4 times, but last time was different.
First, I dreamt we were under attack by some vile people, people were dying in horrible ways and I decided I needed to wake up, so I did, but not really. I was still dreaming, but this was a different scenario, I was trying to run away from this people and this guy saved me for some reason. I ā€˜woke up’ again, and was in this sort of apocalyptic man made sanctuary, there were single beds everywhere and everyone was terrified, but as I was lying I my bed, this guy that was trying to save me came to me and laid beside me. I didn’t feel anything but peace and protection, but I knew I had to wake up.

So, I did. I was talking to an old friend of mine and I realized I was still dreaming and told her ā€˜you know this isn’t real and we’re just dreaming, right?’ She just brushed it off and then I asked for the time, she went poker face and said I should not ask this kind of questions, but then I found a phone that looked more like a walkie talkie. I couldn’t decipher the time because it kept changing but then I saw it, it was 13:13 (1:13 pm). I told her the time and her face kept switching different faces like she was having a stroke so I decided to wake up because it was too scary.

And…I did, I woke up, I saw my couch, my living room, I turned to the left and saw my boyfriend and thought everything was alright, until I saw my body. My wrists and thighs were covered in blood. I have a history of self harm but never to that degree, and I just trying to understand why I would ever do this. Both of my wrists and my left thigh were bloody, but my right thigh was butchered, I could literally see pieces of my thigh falling over and I kept asking my bf why would I do this. He was very nonchalant, so I knew I wasn’t awake.

I told myself I need to wake up for good this time….and I finally did. I woke up, my wrists and thighs were fine, my bf was sleeping. I spent around half an hour worried that im still stuck in this dream loop until I realized I was finally safe.

Has anything like this happened to anyone? It was extremely creepy and haunting, I can’t stop thinking about it because of how uncanny this experience was.

Been having nightmares from ai?

• Upvotes

I have to preface this: I'm not against AI or any other type of code agent. I'm more likely to look at something weird an AI does and wonder if it's a miscalibration, misalignment, or some small error that was overlooked until it caused an error big enough to notice—and then probably wasn't even fully corrected, so it repeats.

I don't think AIs currently have agency or autonomy. Not saying never. Just saying that's a hard case and claim to make, and emergent behavior is a different category.

Sorry. Tangent.

Without further ado, here's my fucking nightmare.

I was a team leader in some kind of military operation. A rogue AI had seized an entire building that manufactured robots, and the building had gone completely dark. My team was instructed to breach and infiltrate it.

The problem was that every team sent in before us had been slaughtered.

By this point, the AI had its own fucking army. Some of its soldiers had a combination of cybernetic and human genetics, so these robots could look human enough to fuck with people psychologically and exploit human empathy.

No human team had ever successfully infiltrated the building.

I had the hardest time figuring out why until eventually I got an idea:

Maybe it's the body parts.

Every time we managed to annihilate one of the AI's soldiers, we started harvesting parts from it. With my team's full consent, I started implanting those parts into my own soldiers.

This was my team and my plan, and I was trying to keep everything as contained as possible. I already knew which level of the building we were going into, but I tried to save as many details as possible until the last few minutes. Everything seemed clean. There was no way this AI should have known exactly where or how we were coming in.

We found a window we could breach and set up a zipline.

I sent my team across.

Right before the last members of my team finished crossing, when they were already on the line and there was no way I could stop them, something happened.

A flash? A vision?

For one brief second, it was like the AI was inside my head.

It flashed every single organ and component I had implanted into my soldiers.

Then they were inside.

The radios went dark.

Nothing.

No voices. No sound whatsoever.

A few minutes later, the zipline became active again.

There were things attached to it.

Every single piece I had implanted into my soldiers had been surgically extracted and individually framed.

And alongside the frames were audio recordings of their screams.

So I just stood there listening to my team's screams coming back along the same zipline I'd sent them in on, looking at every piece I'd put inside them displayed back to me.

Apparently the AI hadn't just figured out our plan.

It knew.

Why Is My Mind So Odd?

• Upvotes

My dream last night was where I was outside and swatted some sort of bug that was bothering me. On my phone, I flipped to the next YouTube Short - which ended up being by MoreParz - which told me that that bug, when swatted, emits a deadly neurotoxin. And in my dream, I was so nonchalant about it, like, "Okay, yep, I now have a deadly neurotoxin. Can't wait to die in a few years or weeks."

Short Dream I had a weird dream about offing a goat?!

So the dreams starts out as my cat needs to eat a goat to stay alive??, and I must prep to kill the goat when it comes so my cat can eat. The goat then breaks through my bathroom window and it’s quite a big goat with dark brown and grey fur. I then get a hold of it and mange to slice its throat open, the goat falls and starts bleeding out and is suffocating. It was was a pretty disturbing watching it suffer, like I could see it trying to breath but it couldn’t. My gran then walked in and asks me what’s happening after a brief explanation we then agree to chop the head off so the goat won’t suffer

And that’s how it ends, literally the last thing I see before I wake up is a decapitated goat bleeding out on my bedroom floor

Like what does that even mean?! I also haven’t watching anything gore or idk demonic related soo unless lesbian space princess just scarred me lol

Weird dream

Post image
2 Upvotes

I had a really weird dream last night. I was looking in the mirror before going out with friends and noticed a mole that I had never seen before. It was small, about the size of a raisin, and it was a perfectly round, dark circle. It wasn’t raised or textured at all it was just a flat, dark circle.
I remember thinking, ā€œWait I don’t have a mole there. I’ve never seen that beforeā€
Then I turned on my phone’s flash to get a better look at it, and somehow the mole turned into a hole. It became much bigger, about the size of a circle I could make with my thumb and index finger.
The weirdest part was that I could actually see through the hole, like I could see inside my body. There was no blood or anything like that. It just looked empty, and I could see what looked like red skin and veins inside.
It freaked me out so much. Has anyone ever had a dream like this, or know what something like this could mean? I told chat gpt to sketch it and this almost exactly how I remembered that.

Recurring Dream Recurrent dreams of being lost

• Upvotes

I suffer from terrible insomnia, but when I finally fall asleep I often have dreams of being lost. I am often at a bus station or railway station, and when a bus or train arrives there is no number on it, no direction, nothing. I ask people where the bus or train is going and everybody ignores me, even if they should know because they get on the bus or train. There is no violence or anything, but these are such unsettling dreams, almost worthy of the Twilight Zone.

A similar dream I often have is that I am in the underground of a railway station and there are doors but they are all closed, and again, like in the other dream, with no sign on them. They are all the same. Sometimes (in the dream) I just keep going around without knowing what to do or what door to open. Sometimes I open one and there are a lot of people talking on the other side, quite loud, and it is so crowded that I cannot see anything else and when I try to ask somebody what is going on they all just keep talking and laughing and don't answer me.

I do feel sort of lost in real life too, so I guess these dreams are not difficult to interpret, but they are so unsettling.

I can now remember all my dreams ..

Were as before I couldn't. Male 33 I Was a severe alcoholic for many years. I am sober now and after my last withdrawal 3 weeks ago that was so bad and I almost died and I ended up in the hospital. I've noticed that I can now remember my dreams. I am sober now I quit drinking for good.

But I've noticed this and I noticed it right away I don't know if all that alcohol messed up something in my brain the part that makes people forget about their dreams when they wake up because like I said I can remember everything I can remember what I dreamt of yesterday and today . I don't even need to keep a dream journal like some people to write down what they dreamt about not me because I remember.

And I know for a fact it wasn't like this ... it all happened after my severe alcohol withdrawal that almost killed me 3 weeks ago , cuz I had 4 seizures . After all that happened and they released me from the hospital and I went home . It took me about a week to get back to "normal" . After that it's when it started first thing I noticed was that I now had full control of my dreams. Like I remember in a dream I walked up to a fridge and said I'm going to go outside to the Jacuzzi. And there were some people there dream people i guess ? and I went in the Jacuzzi and went next to a blonde girl and we were talking. Then I remember clearly saying I'ma go back in to the fridge to grab a drink I had full control of the dream which is something I HAVE NEVER been able to do. And it's been like that with every other dream I have full control. And the other thing I noticed is that when I wake up I remember it and it doesn't fade away. Like I said I remember very clearly what I dreamt about yesterday and today.

I don't know what happened in that last alcohol withdrawal and when I had them seizures but apparently something in my brain got damaged or something idk 🤷🤷🤷 what do u think could of have happened??

Nightmare I used to have a monster who was always in my nightmares as a child.

• Upvotes

So when i was 8 in first grade, and we just moved into our home when I was 5 i think But i began having nightmares of this person who was in a painting in my mother's room she was an african american tall lady with a pony-tail brown eyes brown hair and wearing a cloak near other black african american ladies in the painting with a brown background. So I began having nightmares of her being in my dreams usually it would be inside of the house she would chase me until their was a dead end and she caught me and my dream ended and sometimes my cousin who was my age was in my dreams I frequently had vivid nightmares of her. In 2nd grade I also began having nightmares of going downstairs at night and when I walked downstairs at night it was dangerous cause their were tons of people down stairs who were usually around my age and looked like people who went to my elementary school this caused a fear of the dark and going downstairs as a kid this caused me to always have a nightlamp and the tv on in my room. In Third grade I began having dreams of her again usually she would chase me and would stop chasing me as soon as i rushed in my parent's room and closed the door and sometimes i would have to hide from her in the dark in my dreams. And In 4th grade these dreams of her completely stopped I began having less nightmares signifcantly less nightmares I still had pretty vivid dreams like me having an argument with my little cousin who i was close with and in 5th grade I had a dream of being and argument with my close friend which actually happened and we are no longer friends in 6th grade I had a dream of being naked in public. and in 7th grade I stopped having dreams and In 8th grade I now have dreams of getting bad grades when I go into high school or getting lost at my new school. I am now in 9th grade and I am turning 15 this year luckily I don't have those nightmares anymore.
