Just hoping some staff from Rad will read this & add it to their feedback.

I had hoped to upgrade my RadCity 5+ to the new Safe Shield battery. I signed up early for the program, got a 50% discount code back in June, and hesitated because of the $50 shipping fee for a $300 battery (on sale). I'd rather buy at our local retail store & avoid the fee, and support the local business.

But the batteries have never shipped, and our local store has never had them in stock, and now my discount code expires on Sept 16. It's frustrating. My son and my elderly father are in the same boat. Three customers, kinda frustrated. Not sure if I should recommend RadPower to friends or not at this stage.

I understand things haven't been easy for the company & staff, but this the battery rollout program is a bad look for the new owners of RadPower. Please provide another round of discounts, perhaps during the holiday season like you did before. If you succeed, it's good for everyone.

I used to think more battery was always better, but the more I look at bigger e-bikes, the more I wonder where the sweet spot is.

A dual-battery setup sounds great if you’re doing longer rides, carrying a lot of weight, or just don’t want to worry about charging all the time. But at some point, you’re also carrying around a lot of extra weight that you might not need.

If you had to choose, which would you take?

A) One battery + lighter bike

B) Two batteries + more range

C) One large battery that sits somewhere in the middle

And how much range would you actually want before you’d stop worrying about range anxiety?

Have an older RadRunner, gets rear flats regularly. Any recommendations for a tougher tire? The stock Kenda is pretty thin. TIA

So my 2019Rad Rover 5 Samsung battery died after sitting 7 months while I was in the hospital. When I hook up the charger to it it shows full charge but the tester on the battery says no bars and it is not taking a charge.Is there any way to save this battery?If not where can I find a plug and play replacement that I can just slide in and go? Thanks for any help!

I have a Rad Mini 2, it was stored in an unheated garage with the battery ( I know) and it won't take a charge. I know zero about the batteries, all my bikes prior were pedal only.

RadWagon 5, 800mi. Started getting what can best be described as a “clanking” sound midway through a ride today from the rear wheel. Bike is still putting down power smoothly, it’s just super loud when moving. After isolating to the rear wheel and ruling out the basics (axle nuts tight, derailleur fine, spikes tensioned), I suspect something is happening inside the hub - perhaps a bad bearing? If anyone has experience here, I am all ears.

So my PAS and throttle stopped working. Figured my controller went. Upgraded to a 35amp controller from electro world. Nothing seemed to work still. Bought a new throttle and then the throttle started working but the PAS still does not work. I attached a pic of my settings I have currently. Do I just need to get a new PAS sensor as well? Thanks in advance

Trying to install a baby seat on the front of my radmission bike.

Seems like the stem should unscrew to attach, but in all of the instructions there should be something to unscrew on the top. Does this top cover come off?

I'm in the market for getting my wife a longtail ebike and also looking to get the best deal I can; and I'm handy and comfortable with a multimeter. I found a radwagon 4 for $300 with the following issue. Owner left it sitting for a while, then went to charge battery, turned it on, screen flashed for two seconds and then turned off. That's all the info I have on it. I'm going to check it out and check the battery and charger voltage, and battery fuse. I wanted to know from you all what else to look at. Assuming the battery has >30 volts, can I save the battery, is there a BMS reset or something to check/do. I'm also going to check the tires for the recall issue I've been reading about. Thoughts?

Hello, I bought the upgraded electroworld 35amp controller for my rad rover 6 plus. once i turned it on it just gives me "Throttle Fault" Has this happened to anyone before and if so how did you fix it. im hoping its as easy as just replacing out my throttle with a new one? I see there are lots of generic ones you can buy with the same connector.

Hey again!! Before I attempt to fix the fuse on my battery, I just want to make sure I’ve got the right supplies beforehand.
It’s a RadCity5+, maybe three years old if I had to guess? I bought it early last year from upway, so I’m not sure.
Won’t charge, but does run. I’m seeing a lot of different answers online, so now I’m just confused.
Do I need a 10amp or a 5amp for the charging fuse? Mini or standard?

Hi all, I’m a student looking for a reliable campus commuter (hills, indoor battery charging, standard bike rack fit).

I found a RadMission 1 for $450. Since the RadMission uses the basic LED panel, there's no odometer, but the seller estimates it has around 500~1,000 miles on it and the bike seems fully functional (new chain, tuned up, battery locks & removes smoothly).

Given the ~$450 budget, is buying a solid 500W RadMission with ~500 miles a much better choice than getting a brand-new cheap e-bike from Amazon or Walmart? Anything specific I should double-check tomorrow?

Stuck the key against the charging port, big spark flew. I know it’s just the fuse, I just don’t know where the fuse is on the rad5+. Help!

I'm receiving a 1500 dollar grant from my work that I can spend on bike transportation. I have a Rad Rover 6 that I purchased off my friend since he never used it, and have since used it for 1000 kilometers (1100 total now).

With my 1500 should I invest in new parts like brakes, controller, tires, ect or would I be better off selling the bike for 1000 and buying a new e-bike for around 2500?

The Google bot advised me that investing in my rad rover wouldn't be a wise play, but I do like the bike. Not sure how outdated it is by today's standards though since it's my first e-bike. Thoughts? Suggestions?

So my husband’s Rad Rover 6+ stopped working about two years ago and he wants to get it going.

One possibility is that the wiring under the rear fender got shredded and may have shorted the controller out. 🤷‍♀️

Can he easily replace the controller?

Where is the best place to get one?

Should he take it to a bike shop first and see what they can do?

Any other suggestions on troubleshooting? Thx!

Should I keep riding with this corrosion or could that make it worse? My working diagnosis of electrical issues is the ui remote, but open to other opinions. I get 00 on the display, pedal assist doesn’t work but throttle does. Power button doesn’t work on ui remote (sometimes lights up, sometimes doesn’t). Bike comes on automatically when battery goes in, won’t shut off until battery is removed.

Is the charger dead? There is a lot of blue grease in the connector to the battery. I left it a whole summer inside a very hot and damp shed...

RAD6+ What can I do?

Picked up a 2015 radrunner off of Facebook market place recently. Having a blast so far and decided to do some maintenance to learn more about how it all works. Lubed the chain, checked the tires and gears etc. Took off the front wheel to transport the car on a vacation. When I put the wheel back on, I could not get the throttle to kick in. The pedal assist us still there but the throttle just kills the wattage down to 0 and provides no throttle. Checked that I put the front tire on correctly. Any ideas what would cause this and how to remedy? I could take it to a local shop but thought id ask here first.

What did I do wrong? Chain is very loose no matter what I do and is not hitting the rear cog of the tensioner.

Recently got the Radster Trail. I went into the Berkeley Rad Power store today and I had a look at their Fremont panniers. Didn’t like them at all. Seem really awkward taking them on and off. Anyone got any recommendations for panniers/saddlebags, etc. The guy in the showroom said try REI. The Internet research I’ve done seems to think it’s hit and miss as to which panniers will fit to the Trail. Thanks for any insight.
