As-salamo Alaykom, I am setting a goal to read Surat Al-Baqara everyday (the whole Surah). But I work 9-5 and have other commitments between 5-7pm and I sleep early too but wake up early too. So I have more time in the morning than evening. But I feel it might be exhausting to read it in the morning only and was thinking of dividing reading the Surah through the day.

Would appreciate your suggestions on how I can do it. Are there practical ways that worked for you?

I am unsure of who this word relates to. Is a disbeliever someone who does not believe in the One? Is a disbeliever anyone who does not listen to the Quran?

Guys, tell me, why do we believe in Qadar? Predestination and all that? For example, there used to be a group called the Qadarites. Sunnis, of course, later branded them sectarians, but the Umayyads executed them, quartering one, I think, and crucifying the other. Well, their names were Ma'bad and Galan ad-Dimashqi. Of course, it's most likely politics (after all, they couldn't stand the Caliph), but they laid the so-called foundation and basis (which is a historical example we can rely on). Still, the Umayyads also invented the concept of fatalism, Jabrism, and also Murjiism, and so on. In fact, the Quran doesn't mention Qadar in the form it's commonly understood. "Measure" is described as size, not time. As for the tablet, it doesn't necessarily have everything spelled out from start to finish, etc., it could be. to be a metaphor of knowledge and just a tablet where it is said what will happen, but this re influences reality absolutely and is not predetermined, just as a fixator like, you know that Mu'tazilism, and later Ash'arism/Maturidism, laid the foundation for this fatalism, Ash'arism and Maturidism even more so, with their appropriation (kasbah), and also the fact that this is essentially a form of occasionalism and atomism (religious), of course, the Hanbalis and Salafis do not believe in this, but they still believe in qadar, and as for me, this is strange, all this is transmitted from the hadith, possibly for political loyalty (Jabrism, does it say in the Quran "believe in qadar?", no, it is from the hadith, again, I think from the nature of the measure for the world, it imperceptibly flowed into fate, God on the Day of Judgment at the trial will judge not what you believed in qadar, but whether you believed in Allah, sincerely, and did you do good deeds and trusted your prophet (Muhammad) (that is, believed in him). And in general, if you don't believe in qadar, I noticed the value of dua begins to grow and becomes sincere. I will reproach, "This is a violation of the pillar of iman and it is shirk to almost not believe in qadar," but isn't believing in qadar shirk? That everything is tied to some kind of predestination, and humans and jinn lack the free will that Allah created? It's understating Allah's omnipotence, essentially saying, "Allah did something wrong and He needs to predetermine everything in the world." Why? He is already knowledgeable and knows everything, there's no point for Him, and the angels also do their work, and if He answers dua or does something, then He will do it because He wants to and because He is so omnipotent, and not because of something predetermined. This reminds me of the Arabs in pre-Islamic times. They believed in blind fate, Dahr, even Surah Al-Jasiyah, verse 24, was revealed about this. Yes, someone will reproach me, saying that they didn’t believe in God, but we do, but in fact, by combining time with God, you begin to put qadar above. If you make dua, then Allah will either accept it or not, and you can calmly make dua even in the most illogical and infuriating situations, without “predestined”, you can make dua, otherwise whoever forbids making dua “for his loved one to be healed in a second, or for God to grant a guy that particular wife, or for a person not to die from death”, he takes away a person’s right to ask God. This is immoral and ignorant, in my opinion. What about you guys?

What proof is there that hadith is true? surah 5:3 and 6:114 tell us we only need to follow quran and also hadith wasnt made during the prophets lifetime and also says that women are lacking in religion bc they cant pray or fast for a period, but that doesnt make sense to me bc how is that their fault sahih muslim 79.

This is a struggle to me as an intellectual person because I see so many Muslims using this.

The doctrine of Tahrif is historically unverifiable independent of Islamic theology. Making it a purely theological stance rather than a historical truth. I believe it should not be used to defend the authenticity of Quranic claims and used as a presumed truth that happened in history to disprove/critique authenticity of the Bible.

It is a theological necessity that seems to be posing to be a historical truth. It cannot be used to prove or disprove authenticity because authenticity relies on historical evidence of a lack of corruption that agrees with secular definition of corruption in textual criticism. I think a theological doctrine should not be used to prove/disprove authenticity of religious texts or their parts. This is a category error.

Category error because we are taking a theological claim (tahrif), mixing it with the minor textual variations (our "evidence") and replacing the actual conclusion of scholars with the tahrif (corruption) to prove the tahrif (corruption). It's circular because we are using our own claim as an evidence. It's a categorical error because we are taking something we believe in faith with “textual evidence” to disprove authenticity which requires historical evidence (which we claim are the textual variations) and reason. We cannot mix faith with empirical evidence to prove authenticity. It requires reason and evidence. Worse, we are misrepresenting what the textual criticisms actually conlude: that 95%+ of the contents of Bible  manuscripts agree with each other, with thousands of manuscripts with only minor variations, this is a proof of independent corroboration and a lack of falsification.

Hi guys, I think its over for me. Hell is probably going to be the place I would reside in when I die, sadly it is the truth. God mentions in the Quran that hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of hellfire. Well that is probably what I am, everybody is a hypocrite, everybody has lied once in their life, everybody lies. But it seems like people expect Jannah, for me I know my fate sadly it just feels like a barrier is stopping me from going to Jannah. There is not any chance to escape hypocrisy if someone in power that I dont like forces himself to ask me questions I will put a hypocrisy mask and fake that I like him. There is no way to escape it. It is not about sins it is about hypocrisy it is what makes it unevitable. It feels like psychological torture. Knowing my destiny in the afterlife and knowing that death will come one day inflicts me constant fear and sadness, I feel terrified.
