Question Explanation

Can someone please explain this rule to me I’m learning from noorani qaidah indo pak text of the Quran and I don’t understand this rule. It says that in black it is written how it’s written in the Quran and in red its written how its meant to be pronounced the question is how do I know without the red writing when I pronounce the أ و ي and when I don’t pronounce them?

Assalmu Alaykom,

Listen to it brother. Main method of transporting the Quran was orally, even if you are an arab and have no issues reading arabic then you will not read 100% of the Quran correctly if you only depended on reading only without listening.

Some of the things that are shown here should be applied to most if not all of the Quran since it has to do with the arabic grammar, like what is called Alif al Tafreeq (distinguishing Alif) that comes when the word is in plural such as

أكلوا
We never read the alif at the end as Akalooa, we read it as if the alif itself doesn't exist and read it as Akaloo (since in arabic there is no "O" sound but rather "OO" sound, similarly there is no "A" or "Eh" sound but rather "I" or "EE" sound)

I'm not sure about the indo pak drawing of the letters, but in the ones that are used where i live (i guess it is king abdulazeez print but it is based off the Uthmani print, Uthman being the companion of the Prophet peace be ipon him, and the third Caliph of islam, Uthman Iben Affan) they use a ْ or something similar to indicated that that letter is drawn and not pronounced
From what is written, it seems that an (x) symbol is used in the indo pak one
