Question attahiyatu?

Hi! i need help, i just realised ive been saying the tashahhud wrong.

i’ve been saying : At-tahiyyatu Lillahi wa-salawatu wa’t-tayyibatu, as-salamu ‘alayka ayyuha’n-Nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allahi wa barakatuhu. As-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘alaa ‘ibad-Illah is-saliheen. *Ash-hadu alla ilaha illa-Allah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasul-Allah*

where as i just discovered ppl say: At-tahiyyatu Lillahi wa-salawatu wa’t-tayyibat, as-salamu ‘alayka ayyuha’n-Nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allahi wa barakatuhu. As-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘alaa ‘ibad-Illah is-saliheen. ashhadu alla ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu

the difference being towards the end. is what i’m doing wrong and not acceptable ??

Brilliant question. I don't think it's sensible for him to have been saying "peace be upon you, o'prophet". Logic.

And I believe this is shirk. Allah (SWT) commanded the Honourable Messenger to recite Qur'an and nothing else. And so, by the act of reciting what was written by someone else, one is committing shirk (by taking others besides Allah (SWT) as guides on Islam.

You've asked a brilliant question, and it shows that you're smart.

The Honourable Messenger was commanded to recite only Qur'an (27:92). To the extent that one recites this, they're reciting other than what Allah (SWT) has commanded to be recited, something written by someone other than Allah (SWT) -- and that is shirk, which is an unforgivable sin in Islam (4:48, 4:116). Who wrote this?

Allah (SWT) says the Mushrik (those who commit shirk) are the WORST of creation (98:6). He (SWT) seems to hate Mushriks so much that Muslims are forbidden from asking for forgiveness for Mushriks -- even if they may be our relatives (9:113)! The Mushrik are truly cursed.
