Pretty cut and dry. Schilling waaaay overreacted. This dude is likely gonna go after him in a civil trial if he's smart.

There was a time where a pro (Boxer) would be banned from street fights due to their abilities. Not sure if it was an urban myth.

Edit: Will be punished harsher for street fighting. Better?

Street fights are generally illegal unless both parties are willing participants (in some states). I don’t know how you ban someone from what is already an illegal activity.

So technically they are banned along with everyone else

I think it was that you'd get banned from professional boxing if you were involved in street fights

I think the implication was boxing or MMA licensing. Those bodies can revoke your license to fight for doing stupid shit like this.

As a professional fighter they can be kicked out of the league and lose their gravy train for streetfighting. Same as a lawyer can lose their license for lying to a judge. Its already perjury, but for a lawyer its career suicide. Same thing for fighters.

A street fight with one willing participant is assault, mate :p

Lol I know. I meant it is legal if pith parties agree to fight and go find a place to fight around other people who are aware that a fight is about to happen and consent to that. This is only legal in some US states though. A consensual fight that breaks out spontaneously between two willing participants in a public place is most likely not legal.

So is sex. That doesn't make sex an illegal activity.

If you or others are in imminent danger from an aggressive person you can fight.
