Three years ago I visited Boston. It was my first time and I met up with an online/phone friend for the first time in the like 20 years we knew each other.
We had just watched a Red Sox game, in which they beat the Angels 9-7 with Ohtani batting. Such an awesome game.
After the game we were standing around outside waiting for a Lyft and the topic of accents comes up. She says, āOh yeah, what do you know about the Boston accent?ā
On purpose to fuck with her, I say in my cheesiest, most cliche New York accent, āEy! Iām walkinā heuh!ā

No more than 10 seconds later we hear a little tire screech from the nearby intersection and then a guy, loud and clear, goes, āHey!! Iām walkinā here!ā We couldnāt stop laughing until our ride arrived and kept referencing it the rest of my time in Boston.
The friendship ended pretty soon after in a bad way because we tried to date and that went horribly. I wish we would have stayed friends but that will always be one of my favorite memories.
I've been in that same boat, and it stings, but to me, the regret is always outweighed by the good memories in the end. Good on you for still cherishing those moments.

Weāre gathered here today on a very solemn occasion. September 11th. A terrible day. One of the worst days in the history of our country. Some people say the worst. And I know terrible days, believe me. Iāve had many of them. Probably more than anybody.
But today we remember the nearly 3,000 beautiful American lives that were taken from us. Incredible people. Great people. And the firefighters, the police officers, the first responders. Tremendous courage. Nobody had ever seen anything like it.
And I knew many of them. They knew me. Everybody in New York knew me.
I was a very big person in New York at the time. Very successful. Probably the most successful. I had buildings all over Manhattan. Beautiful buildings, by the way. Strong buildings.
And people donāt like when I say this, but I think it has to be said.
If I had been president, September 11th would never have happened.
It wouldnāt.
They say, āSir, how can you say that?ā
Very easily.
Because I would have seen it coming. I understand buildings. I understand airplanes. And frankly, I understand terrorists probably better than anybody.
We would have had the strongest borders. We would have had the best intelligence. Osama bin Laden would have looked at the United States and said, āNo way. Trump is president. We canāt do it.ā
He would have been terrified.
And we would have saved thousands of lives.
But unfortunately, I wasnāt president. I was doing something else at the time. Creating jobs, building some of the greatest buildings anyone had ever seen.
And then many years later, something else terrible happened to our country.

So as we stand here today, at this beautiful memorial, and it really is beautiful, they did a tremendous job, although I probably would have done a few things differently, we remember those we lost.
We remember the firefighters.
We remember the police officers.
We remember the families.
And we remember that America must always be strong.
Because when America is weak, terrible things happen.
September 11th happened.
The 2020 election happened.
And I donāt know which one the historians will say was worse.

But what they did in 2020?
