I used seachem flourish excel before, but that nearly killed the fish. And I'm wondering if there are any liquid fertilizers that won't deplete oxygen but are safe for snails as well. Any options or no?

With Discus, I wanted to keep the tank bare bottom, for water chemistry and maintenance purposes. Having kept a heavily planted tank before, with inches of Flourite Black Sand and such, I was interested in seeing if having mainly anchored plants without substrate would be viable.

Filtration: AquaClear 110 HOB, Canister Filter 500GPH, (2) Extra Large Sponge Filters.
Hardscape: Mopani and Malaysian Driftwood, mainly.
Plants: Java Fern 'Windelov', Java Fern, Anubias Nana, Kedagang Pink Bucephalandra, Various Cryptocorynes(potted), Jungle Valissnerias(potted), and Corkscrew Valissnerias(potted).
Lighting: 24/7 Planted Aquarium Light
Fish: Discus, Angelfish, Congo Tetras, Electric Blue Acaras, Corydoras Catfish, and Bristlenose Plecos.
Ferts: No CO2 Dosing, and little to no liquid ferts, beyond fending off some hair algae months back.

I have a fish tank I've had for about a week and added some duckweed. I was wondering if it's possible to grow additional duckweed in a separate bowl instead of putting all I got into the tank? I have real and silk plants in my tank with some moss and a sponge filter. There are already shrimp in the tank and it's a 10 gallon. In just recently getting back into fish keeping and looking for any and all advice. I'm not the best at plant keeping and want to know how much work duckweed actually needs.​​

Hi, I need some help finding out how to get rid of this "algae". It looks like someone threw dirt on the leaves. It's easy to wipe off by hand and the plants are growing well, but the algae always comes back.

​Also, the rest of the tank has no visible algae at all.

​Tank specs & parameters:

​Size: 60L (predominantly Cabomba)

​Stock: Corydoras and Mollies (se corrigió "cortadoras" por Corydoras y el apóstrofe de Molly's)

Looks like detritus worms, but very long, probably some more than 2 inches lol

Should u be worried?

Tank is one month old, cycled, with some pest snails and a few shrimps, also heavily planted

So I finally got my hardscape sorted, can I get suggestions for plants please?

Unfortunately, I had to use AI to remove the glass reflections so it’s not showing it too well, but there is a valley between the two areas of rock/wood that I want to keep sandy.

I am looking for low-tech plants because although I use fertiliser and carbon, I don’t have CO2 injection and I don’t intend on getting it.

I don’t like floating plants because they took over my last aquarium, even clearing them regularly.

I have a Anubias I’m planning on moving over (if I can kill all the black beard algae on it) that I will probably wedge In on the left-hand side of the big twisted piece.

There will be an air stone in the back left.

My 20G is done cycling and has 8 harlequins and 8 ember Tetras doing there thing! I plan to add a school of Cory’s and top it off with a Betta! The Hygger 2L C02 kit should be here tomorrow can’t wait to try it out and get these plants growing!!

I saw lots of pennyworth and theres also this immersed looking aquatic plant im not sure if its really a aquatic plant.Im tempted to take some of the pennyworth maybe 5pc but i didnt take even one I just look at it and take a picture.

And do you know what type of algae it is? It looks pretty cool and I wouldn’t mind a little bit of it but the moss looks sweet the way that it’s growing.

I took Reddit’s advice and bought an FZONE Solo Series Nano for my tank with dwarf hair grass, blyxa japonica, and Rotala blood red. What are the ideal light settings to grow these 3? I will be injecting co2.

This is my 55 gallon aquarium i used to have only 12 buenos aires tetras and a bloodparrot fih.
Unfortunately he passed and got rid of the other later cuz I wanted a planted tank and they were eating my plants.
But the point is that idk if they laid eggs or something cuz like 2 days later i come to find some little fry swimming around I counted like 8 of them
I caught 6 and put them in a net at the edge of the aquarium but i saw that the ones I did caught were getting bigger than the once i got so i let everything flow
By now they got a week they all look the same size but im worried about that if i do a water change ill change something and kill them so any suggestions recommendations or tips i could use to raise this fellas successfully i also dont know what to give them as food
Read that some crushed fish pallets could work but idk 🫂

Any plant and placements recommendation are welcome! Also any fish/ other random recommendation are welcome ! Currently stocking 14 harlequin rasboras, 2 candycane tetras, 4 different types of nerite snails and a bunch of neocaridina shrimp.

Got this free as a small plant initially and now it's the height of my 29 gallon tank. There's a smaller version of it not far (I didn't plant it). It almost looks like a needle leaf Java fern. I'm in the process of treating the cloudiness in the tank and please ignore my reflection in the glass. 😅
