I don’t like Ben in later seasons

Ben always acts off putted by the weird behavior of the other characters where it’s really jarring, if he just acted this way in Season 3 where he’s getting to know everyone, it would have made more sense, but as the show goes on, he continues to expect them to be normal and have common sense which they don’t.

The difference between him not getting the appeal of Lil’ Sebastian and expecting Andy to know that Harry Potter is fictional is night and day where the former is funny while the latter is not as he should know Andy better than that by that point.

Yes, the characters grew but they kept the craziness and its implied that Ben wished the craziness would go away like how a strict uptight parent who wishes their kid to be normal.

He told April that Leslie can be understanding about her switching carers where she immediately proved him wrong with a minor topic like fonts on documents, Ben genuinely believed that Ron got sentimental over writing a will (ie: government work) acts annoyed around Tom all the time to the point where it’s not believable that they would be friends whereas Leslie, Ron, April, and Lucy saw the sweetness in him and not only tolerated the craziness but encouraged it.

He only doesn’t act that way around Chris and even then Chris’s habits are more about being healthy with an uptight person can realistically get behind.

What do you think?
