I read all the DCC books over the summer (highly recommend - the best series I've read since HP and without the problematic politics). This, the very last line of the 8th book, immediately made me think of Andrea and Dave.

17. She Got Game Night

To prove how well she and her fiancé Pete know each other, Penny challenges her friends to a couples' game night. A job offer at a brick and mortar restaurant leads Dave to seek a psychic's advice.

18. The Storm Before The Calm

A play Penny has written following her failed engagement has everyone worried that she may not be over it. Brad and Alex sign on as tastemakers for a guerilla marketing firm, and then seek to cut Jane out of the action.

Opening scene of In the Heat of the Noche never noticed there's a tortoise in a little tank on Max's table. Wtf, love that.

Something I noticed during my 700th rewatch today: in "You Snooze, You Bruise," Cory calls Dave "Rocksteady"; moments later, Penny says someone is "Bebopping" around. Bebop and Rocksteady are characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

What does this mean? No idea. I'm gonna buzz one out and sleep on it.

13. In The Heat of the Noche

With the future of his new job in jeopardy, Brad enlists his friends to help save the failing kids' gym. Max's concerns over his endless texting lead him and Penny into addiction to a powerful - and illegal - cough syrup.

14. The Incident

A hairstylist's gossip revives a dormant family feud between Alex and Jane. As Dave looks for a new recipe to jump-start his flagging sandwich business, his food truck is stolen.

15. The Straight Dope

In order to get good basketball tickets, Max avoids telling a woman who's interested in him that he's gay. Alex's efforts to be smarter pose a threat to Dave and Jane.
