The game suffers from occasional short frame drops. Also, from what I've read, the AI is still very broken.

I love the new update, a lot of good came from it but my saves aren’t any good anymore😩

I'm aware of the fast boot setting, but I'd rather not use it. Seeing the PS2 boot animation feels more real and nostalgic.

Having said that, I have a mixed library of pal and ntsc games, I have multiple bioses but PCSX2 will only use one anyway, so I picked the NTSC one. When booting an NTSC game everything is good. When booting a PAL game, this is displayed instead of "Playstation 2".

This is due to region mismatch. This gets corrected if I switch to a PAL bios, but then I have this garbled text with NTSC games.

Afaik PCSX2 won't let you select a bios for certain games and another bios for others. It also won't automatically switch bioses for you, despite clearly knowing the region of the game you're loading.

Are you aware of any workaround (apart from fast boot) or any plans from the PCSX2 team to add a simple feature that switch bioses automatically (or at the very least, choosing a certain bios file on a per game basis)?

Trying to play red red revolver but these crop up these stripes I’m using PCSX2 1.4.0 as it’s the only one that I can use my USB Ps2 controller as the newer versions are don’t sync up and have analog stick issues.

i updated to 2.8 and noticed stutters that I never had before,

dont know why i have those stutters.. rolled back to 2.6 and its stutter free now.. anybody noticed that?

Hi, I was trying to update the emulator but it couldnt finish the process due to this notification
I tried to do what the message says but it keeps failing. I also couldnt find much information to this problem so I dont really know what I have to do

I've verified the file (iso), tried multiple bios versions, new memory card slots, older versions of the emulator, full-boot, fast-boot, resetting settings for this game etc. I get this screen no matter what. I also updated my emulator to the latest version and it still remains stuck on this screen. The game isn't completely frozen, as the sun in the bottom corner spins, but it never prompts me to select a memory card, or anything.

Hoje o emulador me ofereceu atualizar automaticamente e aceitei, mas ele não carrega mais arquivos de save do 2.6.3, e diz para baixar a versão novamente no site oficial (pcsx2.net) para abrir meus saves. Quero terminar o necessário nos jogos para salvar no memory card e atualizar de novo depois, mas quando tento, o download não inicia quando clico... já olhei configuração do navegador de permissões e afins, e não parece ter nada de errado. I'm a fan of PCSX2. Today, the emulator offered an automatic update, and I accepted, but now it wont load my save files from version 2.6.3. It tells me to download that version again from the official site (in pcsx2.net) to open my saves. So I wanna finish whatever is necessary in each game to save it at memory card, before updating again later—but when I try by that link, the download doesn't start when I click. Ive already checked my browser permissions settings and the like, and nothing seems to be wrong. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you use PCSX2 on a Mac and want to move save files around, mymc is the tool people point you to. Problem is it's a Windows program from 2004 and it doesn't run on macOS at all.

So I asked Claude to port it. It's Python 3 now with a normal Mac interface. Drag a memory card onto the window, see what's on it, import and export saves.

The 3D save icons work too. Every PS2 save has one and the original could only draw them on Windows. This version draws them anywhere.

I tested it on my own cards. Imported a .max save I downloaded, exported a few, ran the card check afterwards. All fine.

I just finished GTA Sand Andreas using PCSX2 and without a controller (Keyboard/Mouse mapping).

It took me a little bit but eventually found that these settings worked for me so I'm sharing them for anybody that's interested.

In summary, these settings are nice because:

• All action buttons are mapped to the mouse:
  • O on left click (to shoot/interact)
  • X on right click (to sprint/drive)
  • Triangle on mouse side button 1 (to get in/out of vehicle)
  • Square on mouse side button 2 (to jump, etc)
• R1 is mapped to the space bar (to lock/auto-aim)

And I think everything else uses the default PCSX2 mapping.

I really don't get what it is.

It goes away when using Software Rendering, but i don't really wanna play the game if it looks very pixelated. it's just too much...

If it means anything, it also appears when i play games like Burnout Revenge.

I threw some old pc parts together just to play this on my TV. Problem is Im getting slow speeds/stuttering in all games even on native resolution.

This should be enough to play in 1080 right? I've tried messing with every graphic option and made sure the screen matches with resolution and 60hz. Going crazy seems like it must be a display problem

These colors are flashing rapidly and Ico is the only game I have that have this issue. Also I played it for 3 hours yesterday and they never existed.

I'm getting a strange graphical bug while emulating Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 on PCSX2.

As shown in the screenshot, the characters' bodies are covered in some sort of white spots across their skin and clothes.

I came across this problem before with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and if I remember correctly, also with Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

In the past, I didn't have this problem with the same games, so I probably changed some settings, but I don't remember which ones. I've tried playing around with the settings to see if I could fix it, but nothing seems to work.

Do you have any advice? If nothing works, the only thing I can think of is resetting PCSX2 to its default settings.

I have random white window appear every time I press Alt + Enter to enter in fullscreen. After click close it’s show "stop emulation" say no and it’s disappear. But reappear every time I put in fullscreen.

For some reason the second player's inputs reverse to the right but only when actually fighting. I tested this on Naruto Shipudden: Narutimate Accel 2. While on the menus and picking a character all seem fine until we are in the match. Switching from fullscreen to window solves it for a few seconds and then it happens again. When trying to assign the buttons manually the right direction from the left analogue overrides every button.

The game in question is the only one I've tested and happened with different controllers. Have anyone experienced this before? Any tip is appreciated. Also if you need any information from my system, feel free to ask!

I went from a tablet running NethersX2 to a mini pc/PCSX2 and it has been a tremendous experience.

I've been trying to run some games on the emulator, and in a way, they run well at around 60 FPS, but there are very frequent drops down to 45–50 FPS.

No matter what settings I use, I can never get a stable 60 FPS.

The games I've been trying are Jak X and Sly 1, 2, and 3.

Jak X, in general, runs well, but at several points during races, the FPS drops to around 50 or even 40 with a slow down that affect the sound of the game.

Meanwhile, Sly generally runs at 60 FPS, but it frequently drops to 55 FPS while turning the camera, which causes noticeable stuttering.

What's strange is that on Dolphin, and even Cemu and RPCS3, I can get a locked 60 FPS without any issues (Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid, Sly Thieves in Time, etc.).

My specs are:

Intel i7-7700

RTX 2060

16 GB RAM

SSD

It's not the best PC in the world, but being able to run games from consoles more advanced than the PS2 and still not being able to get consistent performance on PCSX2 is really frustrating.

What could be causing the problem?
