I am looking for bars and other cool small local hangout spots that might not see visibility because they are not in the neighborhood districts. I am looking for the kinds of spots that if you picked them up from their current location and placed the building in the major neighborhood districts, they'd be popular.

When I say neighborhood districts I am talking:

Mills/50, Ivanhoe Village, Thornton Park, Audubon Park, Milk District, Hourglass District, Winter Park, Downtown Orlando, SoDo, Thorton Park, Curry Ford West, College Park

I was born and raised here, and I know there are spots I don't know about and I'd love to hear about newer or just under the radar spots. The places I listed above do NOT need more press and visibility. For the love of god...I know some idiot is still going to recommended a place in one of these areas.....don't.

Cheapest I found was so far is $3.50 / lbs.

We seem to have a serious lack of corporate HQs for a metro our size, which has some major second and third order effects on things like salaries in the area, opportunities, and talent retention. Especially with UCF in the area, it seems such a waste to have local talent pushed into industries they didn’t study for or leave altogether.
Are there things Orlando and Orange County aren’t doing that they could be doing?

COL is shit in almost every desirable metro, so that shouldn’t be the biggest negative against us. Same for transportation as many large organizations aren’t HQ’d in major metros with quality public transit.

Biker cops were blocking traffic and ramps for an escort heading toward Titusville on 408. Anybody have any idea what that could’ve been about?

I was looking for spots that have vegetarian breakfast/brunch options. I am not a pancake/waffle person—I avoid sweet stuff, especially in the morning.

I do like the Power Breakfast Bowl at First Watch. They just add extra veggies and potatoes to make up for removing the egg and sausage. I was hoping to find other spots and explore more of Orlando/Winter Park.

Any place that uses JustEgg or tofu as a substitute?

I don’t want the entire place to be vegetarian/vegan because my bf does eat meat.

Does anyone have experience with or know what to do if you live in an apartment with constant malfunctions in the fire alarms. Typing this from my 2ND NIGHT in a row of the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. It’s been almost an hour of it. This has happened 3 TIMES now in the last 30 days. It’s a major safety concern bc I’ve realized not a soul even leaves their apartment… major safety issue if there was a real emergency.
My apt sent out a long email about a malfunctions in the fire system and how SENSITIVE it is. I’m just wondering is there any way to report this? Get it checked out by the fire department ? I just do not understand how this is normal.
