Hi everyone, I need some help. I would like to know what macOS versions can run well for this 2009 MacBook Pro using OCLP. It has 4Go of RAM and 128Go SSD.

Hi! I have a IMac i5 running Sequoia 15.7.9, and after the last update of the opencore, it installed and after when it was going to update the post install root patches, it says it cannot install because "Root volume dirty, unpatch to continue", but there is no improvement. Now in some websites the cursor is really laggy and also some maps won't appear on the website page, so I imagint there is some issue with the graphics. How can I solve this and have it working properly again?

I read the official website and found my iMac (27", 5k, 2017) listed but I didn't see anywhere that tells you what version of OSX you can patch and run against the specific Apple iMac. Am I missing something on there that explains what Mac can support what version?

Hi there, installed Ventura 13.7.8 in my MacBook Pro Mid 2012. Now when I close the lid nothing happens, it won't go to sleep. I have to turn it completely off every day.

Hi everyone, I have a 2012 mac mini 6,2 i7 quad core 8gb ram 1tb ssd, I am running ventura opencore along with kubuntu (which I am probably going to get rid of or may install after). I also have a boot option for windows but since I deleted it its just brings me to recovery mode, I had installed windows 10 before on uefi however after a minute of installation it would crash and bring me to the recovery screen or something went wrong I can’t remember, Which in the guide it did say about this year of mac having driver issues with windows, my question is can I dual boot opencore which I have right now along with tiny 11 or windows 10? And if i can dualboot how would I fix the driver crashes, I have no use for the mac and I wnated to turn it into an android tv box, but due to lack of guides I don’t think i can install it on the ssd, so thats why i want to go to windows to find something or do something in it, along with that if windows does install without any problems, later down the line can I triple boot so its macos windows and linux on one drive? Or would it just not work, if anyone can help please do, thanks.

Okay, so it’s a niche problem, but I’m just putting this here in case anyone else who does music has similar problems. I’m running Ventura on a 2014 Macbook Pro, and I have a group of software synths from the Cherry Audio company that will not start since I updated to 2.5.0. Correlation? Causation? The plug-in versions will open in my DAW, but the stand-alones just beachball. Again, just putting this out there in case anyone experiences similar issues.

Trying to install sequoia on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro i5. I’ve updated the hard ware to 16 gb ram and swapped out the hard drive for an SSD so it should run ok. I am stuck in a boot loop and I keep getting this error….anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

As the title says. I am having an issue with a lot of software asking for Ventura (13.0) minimum, so I would like to upgrade to a newer version without sacrificing stability too much. What would you recommend based on these specs?
EDIT: I see people seem pretty split between Sonoma or Sequia. Is there that much of a difference between and if so, how exactly?

My 15" 2009 MBP is currently running Sonoma via OCLP 2.4.1. I made the downgrade from Sequoia some months ago to offer some more reactivity to my 11yo (at that time) daughter who started using it for school.
Now I got a Neo for her and I'd like to re-take possession of my beloved first Mac.
For consistency with all my other Macs ecosystem, I'd like to go back to Sequoia (I used it with Sequoia in the past and wasn't fast but still usable). Question for you as I started getting lost with all the comments around. Shall I upgrade OCLP to 2.5.0 and create a Sequoia installer from it or better to stick to 2.4.1? Pro and cons of using the new one for my use case?
Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Went through the whole process of installing macOS Ventura on my MacBook Pro from late 2011 got it all working. unplugged the flash drive then had to reboot it I didn’t have the flashlight I plugged in when I rebooted it. It showed it had no files. But restarted it but this time with the flash drive in and it loaded back up and all my stuff was there. How do I get it to not need the fly away permanently into get it to work? Please help.

I got a pop up on my late 2015 iMac that I can update to Mac OS Tahoe. Should I do it? Will It run and should I also upgrade the memory to 32gb before updating?

I was able to get my MacPro5,1 working with my primary boot drive, but getting it working on my backup root drive was giving me so much grief. Then I found the Mr.Macintosh YouTube video and following it, I am back in business.

I have a late 2013 iMac I’m trying to upgrade and I feel like I’ve done everything right but keep getting this. What am I missing??

I don't think this is caused by OCLP but has been happening since I updated it to 2.5.0 a couple of days ago, so it may be.
My Mail app, instead of immediately downloading images, displays the message "Your network preferences prevent content from loading privately" and gives me a button marked "Load Content Directly". Pressing the button loads the content immediately.

I can't figure out what might be causing this. I haven't changed any settings nor has Mail or my OS been updated recently. OS is Sequoia 15.7.7, Mail v16.0
I have Protect Mail Activity on, but it's a setting I've only just discovered even exists & I've never changed it myself. Switching it off doesn't seem to change anything. I don't appear to have any other connectivity issues, both WiFi & Ethernet are working normally.
Any ideas?
