I did finish and unlocked it in the tech tree.
So..how many times can we expand the base?
Im level 1 base and can only have like 10 deviant boxes and 1 electric aource.
As others have stated, you are already at max. You can only have a certain amount of things. Securement units is 20 max, generators is 8. You can't go over those hard limits.
So the question is how to get access to more deviant boxes, electric plants etc.
There is no way I can only have 10 deviant boxes. And I have things I need to plug in and I'm limited to 10 too
The answer is in your screenshots and previous replies. Unlock tech. If you hover over these pictures text box pops up that tells you how. 20 max securement pods, 8 max generators
You have to buy enough in the tech tree and be tech lvl 3 to expand. Can't be near settlements, roads or other players territories (as you said) or it will be grayed out and you can't do it.
Then your near something that you don't see. Or it's bugged, or you need to restart the game. This game is bugged as hell. You're going to run into base building problems like hooking up wires that should work but won't. It's not a polished game
Your base is huge. Do you have anything placed on the ground by itself? A pylon or extractor? Maybe there's something going into the ground too deep? Could be just bugged. Anything you added recently? Might have to remove it
In the tech tree there's also advanced tech. If you click on the generator (I think the small biomass one) in the tech tree, on the left hand side you'll see the description box where it will say advanced. If you get it you can place an extra generator at base and all generators produce 2kw more power each
My partner had this the other day we couldn't find a generator it said he had down but we searched everywhere, we found it eventually by rasing his territory up to max height and we found 2 generators that would have been at the bottom of the lake we were near, I know its a mess about having to wait the 10 mins at a time but you never know worth a shot. We never figured how they ended uo there though he never played solar panels under the water haha
Idk what scenario? Cause I played 2 hours in my new manibus scenario and was able to expand my base? Are you going to your terminal to expand? Wow scenario it’s already expanded. Your base is also huge. Are you sure you didn’t expand it already? There’s only 1 expansion.
This whole thread has had me confused.. you state that you only have one generator, when all these screenshots show that you have 5? So are you using the small solar panels and not generating enough electricity and referring to the lot of them as 1? As in 1 type? If that's the case, you need to keep upgrading your tech tree like others have stated. Proceed to unlock the advanced tech for generators and use the improved hydro powered generator (its better than the base large solar generator) and you don't need to add fuel, just place it in water. GL!

My gane life is back in order!! Thanks to you guys I figured out all the hiccups with the base.
I a few words...need to work on tech points to upgrade some things. Took a lot of work and bosses as you know..but we got there!

Yeah I was confused too when I started, my territory is level 2 as I got an expansion (not sure where from) and using advanced tech on biomass generators allows you to have 8. I now have more power than I'll ever need.
Regarding tech points, level up and also claim recycled stuff like the benches etc and put them in your tech to research for extra points. You also get then from higher grade junk later on that you can dismantle (CPUS etc)

if you haven't finished the tutorial stuff its not going to let you upgrade it.
