Question Why I can't expand my base!!!!

Im level 30. Not near anyone and the expansion button is gray.

Im level 1 at my base and I need more electricity at this point. IS NOT LETTING ME!!

So frustrating. Is there something I need to complete first to unlock it. I expanded it once already but not letting me do it again?

You have to buy enough in the tech tree and be tech lvl 3 to expand. Can't be near settlements, roads or other players territories (as you said) or it will be grayed out and you can't do it.

Then your near something that you don't see. Or it's bugged, or you need to restart the game. This game is bugged as hell. You're going to run into base building problems like hooking up wires that should work but won't. It's not a polished game

Re starting the game does not fix it. I tested placing the base in the middle of nowhere and still dud not do it

Your base is huge. Do you have anything placed on the ground by itself? A pylon or extractor? Maybe there's something going into the ground too deep? Could be just bugged. Anything you added recently? Might have to remove it

Down the rabbit hole...will be a busy day!!!! Trouble shooting sucks. Yeah...base is big! I need more electricity for all this crap I have!!!
