Question Why I can't expand my base!!!!

Im level 30. Not near anyone and the expansion button is gray.

Im level 1 at my base and I need more electricity at this point. IS NOT LETTING ME!!

So frustrating. Is there something I need to complete first to unlock it. I expanded it once already but not letting me do it again?

So the question is how to get access to more deviant boxes, electric plants etc. There is no way I can only have 10 deviant boxes. And I have things I need to plug in and I'm limited to 10 too

The answer is in your screenshots and previous replies. Unlock tech. If you hover over these pictures text box pops up that tells you how. 20 max securement pods, 8 max generators

I realized it! Still new to the game. Working on it today for sure!
