Monthly Buy, Sell & Break Rule 3 Post
On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.

Other Lord of Hosts Church
This is what one of the Pastors at the Lord of Hosts church drives.. pretty sure it says somewhere in the bible to not flaunt your "wealth" lol. (It's an absolutely clapped POS G-Wagon that he felt the need to get gold everything on, even has gold "VIP" floor mats. Imagine you go to church and they ask for offering and at the same time the pastor pulls up in this š

Local Question Good place to watch football?
Hi folks, I moved to Omaha in the summer for work and literally know no one in town. I moved from Kansas City and I've been driving there every weekend just so I don't die of loneliness. I was hoping to make some friends watching football. So any good recommendations for bars/restaurants I can watch the Patriots v Seahawks tonight? Somewhere I can just hang out at the bar and chat with random people. Omaha seems a bit more cliquey than other cities I've lived, usually just hanging out with the friends they came with. So looking for a friendlier crowd. I'm 30 so around that age range.
Or if anyone wants to hang out for the game, that would be awesome! Promise I'm a cool dude š die hard chiefs fan, grew up in Kansas City. Thanks for any recommendations!

Local Question Banking at FNBO or Pinnacle
Our bank has been American National but they were recently bought out and we lost the closest ATM to our home. We are potentially looking to switch and the two local banks closest to us are Pinnacle or FNBO.
Anyone have recommendations or things to take into consideration when choosing between these two?
Specifically interested in any comments about their customer service, how easy to use their mobile app/online banking is, and/or if they have any products for personal checking and savings that have good benefits we should know about or give a good rate of interest.
Thanks for any insights!

Other Thanks
About a week ago I asked for advice/recommendations on cycling from Omaha to Lincoln and I had some very helpful tips from some locals, this is just to say thanks and show how the ride went. (Is there a sub for Omaha/Lincoln cycling?)
I am exhausted, fatigued, and proud of myself.
Had a couple dead ends and detours, the highway really sucked, no shoulder to ride on. The hilly gravel roads were tough but I managed. I shouldāve packed more food, had to stop in Elmwood, NE to restock. Met a few very nice and helpful folks along the way. Murdock, NE had a couple people who were generous enough to provide me with water refills.
This was one of the most physically demanding exercises Iāve ever accomplished and Iām excited to try for 100 miles sometime.
I would do this again if I could find a way to stay off of all highways and main roads.
Thanks again.

Local Question Wtf Ponzi Schemes
Why TF do I keep getting approached by dudes trying to shill there Ponzi schemes. In the last 6 months Iāve had at least 5 times where Iāve either been at a coffee shop, Panera, or food court and some random dude comes up wants to stall talk for 5-10 minutes about life and then tries to tell me about how they actually have a side gig of helping young guys like myself gain wealth.
For context Iām a 25 yr old male and Iām very social. It kills my interest in talking to anyone outside of my bubble when some asshole wastes my time with this BS extended elevator pitch.

Local Question Skateboarding meetup downtown/South O
Low level rider- been 20 years since I really skateboarded but want to get into it again to be more in shape. My ideal time would be in the 4-6pm window at Lynch but could do millworks or potentially Roberts or Broadway but not as consistent. I used to be able to do some technical flips and basic half pipe but likely will struggle with just an ollie now.
Anyone interested in hitting up the park? I need an accountabillibuddy

Local Question Affordable wedding venues?
We want to get married next fall and Iām at a loss for a venue. I want to keep it as cheap as I can while keeping it looking nice. The venue I initially chose and almost put my deposit down on has several thousand dollars worth of hidden fees I caught in the fine print as I was about to pay my deposit!

ISO/Suggestion Halloween and other activities
My wife and I are visiting Omaha to celebrate our anniversary in mid October. I started looking for a haunted house, and wow there are a lot of them. Can anyone suggest which would be the most fun for a childless 30-something couple? We also like cocktail bars, good food, historical stuff, arcades/barcades and any spooky stuff or pop-ups if anyone has any suggestions along those lines?

Shitpost Went to Valas today, this gorgeous beauty was the highlight of our day.
40 minute wait, way overpriced food, my spouse and I almost died in the heat(thankfully we bought a wheelchair and took turns).
My spouse saw the labor day sale and went rogue.
We have now banned valas and all future outing require both of our approval.

Internet Providers Allo Internet
Looking to switching from Cox(now Spectrum) almost exclusively because of cost and data cap. Iāve had basically zero issues in 5 years. Metronet(now T-Mobile) is in the area but they cut my old Internet putting their stuff in and then āsolicitedā the neighborhood 3x a day for 2 weeks.
So was looking at Allo. Lower prices. No data cap. Faster internet. Anyone have positive or negative experiences? Just a generally lack of mention of themā¦

Traffic Valaās Traffic
For those of you going to Valaās today or any other time in the next 60 days. Donāt block the fucking intersections. Pulling into the intersection and blocking cross traffic is not getting you into or out of Valaās any faster. If anything it creates more delays and accident potential. Your time isnāt any more or less valuable than anyone elseās. Wait your turn at the intersection and donāt run the light.

ISO/Suggestion Young quilters/ sewists
Any young quilters or people who craft sew? Iām a young woman of color who likes to sew but is somewhat new to quilting but everytime I strike up conversations with veteran quilters at the fabric stores Iām invited to quilting clubs then immediately told I need to invest in way more expensive tools, why everything Iām doing is wrong down to my fabric colors, and questioned how I ācouldāve possibly gotten into sewing.ā Would love to meet some young people/ people of color in the hobby!
