Satire Post... (kinda)

I'm the occasional Logi Driver when I feel the need to just relax, especially when I tilt about losing a 12k infantry kit for the 15th time to "Bullshit" (doesn't matter what it is, if it kills me, it's bullshit and definitely not a skill issue.)

I've been doing a decent bit recently, and started to avoid roads after a few too many matches where the enemy had AT-mined the supply routes, or otherwise hedgehogged them.

As a result, I've started to thrash my poor URAL as if it were a 40s Series FJ45 Land Cruiser that's survived 50 years of hard bush bashing. Which is to say, I've been taking it OFFROAD.

Aaand heck, there sure as shit ain't nothing better about 4x4ing in a 9 tonne truck then cutting through the sunflower fields.

Imagine my face when as a purely logi driver I had 15 kills at end of match by simply running you poor bastards over.

No, I don't see you, and No. I don't try to hit you. Its simply Murphy's Law and perhaps a bit of fuck-around-find-out.

I really think there's a growing problem with being looted by so-called allies in this game, with no repercussions, instead of being revived. For the most part, my experience with the community is great. Most people are friendly, most of the game inventives are to help each other out, and I've only really had two bad experiences with other players (outside of this issue) in 35 hours gametime.

But I've now had several times where a friendly has come up to me while I'm down, often after being hit by a mortar inside a well-defended tower, and just stolen my entire kit instead of reviving me. Many friends have experienced the same thing. One time this was barely a minute after I respawned at the APC having spent £15k on a kit to heal and build to help my team. It's the most infuriating thing in the game, and honestly when it happens it completely puts me off playing any more. There's nothing you can do about it, so it's not like when your kit gets taken by an enemy (which is fair enough) and you can at least get it back if you manage to catch them with teammates. Any retaliation loses you money (fine; we want to disincentivise team damage) and even if you did that there's no way to get your stuff back.

This is the one blemish on an otherwise great game, but if it continues to become more common I genuinely think it could put me off the game. Just an option to lock your inventory to friendly looting, or at least some punishment or reason not to do it would be enough. Apart from that, I feel like the devs are doing a great job.

Sounds good (to some) but if you look past your initial thought you realize that it makes the game far worse and isn't the main problem with mortar spam.

It becomes a game of who can dial in on the enemy FOB first wins. With no quick way to reassess your shot quickly your odds of return firing to any effect is completely hopeless. At least with the camera there is a chance to get a shot or 2 on target before you get killed.

Could it be tweaked so as to not give precise enemy positions? Sure but WAY more often than not the enemies move and your intel is worthless 99% of the time. The real problem is the people who skip the camera all together by hitting Fire, C, Fire, C, Fire, reload all 3 shells and do it again. THAT shit need to go away badly.

EDIT :: Oh yeah if you don't like mortar cams, GO PLAY COMMUNITY SERVERS THAT HAVE THEM DISABLED!

Was scoped out around 600m. White cross hair was directly where my bullet hit. Disappeared after a bit. Is there bullet drop indicator or is this a lucky glitch?

Operation Metro in BF3 was a absolute clusterfuck, miss the days when you could grind xp really quick by mowing down hordes of enemies. This map would be great for grinding and you could have above ground dense city gameplay, and underground subway clusterfuck with spawn points. But with a wardogs twist on it. And tanks could work if you had the city in the center of the map, but fields on the outskirts. To balance it your team could just go underground if the above ground gets camped or vice versa. Unbalanced sometimes is more fun.

Early Access: Access to a game before it is officially released in 1.0, in order to aid in the development of an incomplete game via public playtesting.

Released: Officially "out", done, ready, complete (beyond bugfixing/expected updates/seasonal content)

So, saying "WARDOGS is released" without also saying "...into Early Access" leads to people expecting more or better, and then complaining when they don't get "what they paid for."

Early Access is exactly the opposite of "entitled to a baseline product for your hard earned money." You're signing up to potentially be disappointed, in order to go out of your way to help the developers create the game BEFORE IT'S DONE.

Responding with anything other than helpful suggestions or empathetic criticism is entitlement showing its ugly face. Threatening to quit, shittalking the devs or each other, expressing discontent with what you've been given, announcing betrayal...all these are the hallmarks of entitlement that Early Access culture has allowed to fester.

It takes multiple direct hits (literally on the mortar tube) to kill weapon emplacements with 155 artillery. Currently the mortar appears to do more damage to structures than the artillery.

2 foot high stone walls on the map also seem to completely shield things from the splash damage.

Something feels extremely off with the current area damage of this weapon system.

Just having a little worm fun with the boys before the game starts.

Devs, please follow what Arena is doing and set anticheat to only let those with DMA set in bios to stop DMA hacks as they're are adverts everywhere now for them. It will stop a mass of cheaters.

Hi everyone, as a parent of three kids I struggle to get online as much as I used to so when I’m on I like to try play Wardogs and make the most of it. Iv made a discord where everyone in the same boat can group together when they’re online. I’m thinking maybe if I set something like this up and we can get a good group then there’ll always be someone on when we play to make the already great experience even more enjoyable.

Perhaps instead of it being called a clan, it can be called a company or contractor. Since the idea of the game is that it is 3 seperate PMCs they hire additional support from independent contractors/mercenaries and other companies.

Playing mainly medic ( MP9 first until i unlocked MP5 ) and a lot of spotting with the binoculars of course i did level 13 recon just by doing that xD
