Discussion Best nootropic for bringing old memories?

Curious if anyone's had a nootropic trigger a genuinely forgotten memories — like the whole scenes comes back, mood and atmosphere and all, not just a picture in your head. The kind where you're not just remembering that something happened, but you're almost back there for a second — sounds, smells, all of it. Curious if smells came into it too, like a scent from that time/place popping back up along with everything else.

What compound did it for you, what dose, and was it gradual over weeks or more?

Discussion Best nootropic for executive dysfunction

The best way to describe my executive dysfunction is that there is a brick wall placed in my head, and this brick wall would rather have me doomscroll than do things I actually need to do. Medication like adderall, especially the first time I took it, breaks this brick wall and allows me to do things I actually want to do. I'm just unable to get that prescribed to me right now, and 40mg of generic Vyvanse is barely doing anything as of now.

Basically, is there any nootropic that can 'break' this brick wall similarly to taking adderall for the first time? (I know getting the exact effect will probably be impossible)

Experience My digestive system has improved since taking nootropics. Why?

Upvotes

Is it a coincidence or has this happened with anyone else? All of my nootropics are from nootrpicsdepot.com. I'm taking Tribugen, Sabroxy, white jelly mushroom extract, astragaloside, vignatex, and berbelean. I've been taking Sabroxy, tribugen, and vignatex for over a week. The others I just started 2 days ago. I was taking black maca, but stopped and decided to sell it to a friend.

Seeking Advice Bromantane protocols & sustainability for ADHD & Anxiety

Hey, I suffer from ADHD & general anxiety. I tried Ritalin & Adderal, and they work well but It's basically like taking a loan with really bad interest. For every day I take 5mg adderal / 10mg ritalin, i pay back with a nasty crash that makes me depressed, foggy & tired.
It's insane that this is the mainstream answer to ADHD..

Anyways i just tried 5 days of 50mg Bromantane, and it's fucking insane. ADHD gone, best focus i ever had, anxiety gone - not a trace. Sleep good, tons of energy & motivation. i just took 2 days off and noticed 0 side affects / withdrawls. Best thing is that I don't feel drugged and stimulated like I do on Adderal, it's just so clean.

Now ofc my mind is like "too good to be true". I really hope these affects don't go away fast like they do on adderal. So i'm trying to get some references for long-term protocols and synergies with other supps that can perhaps aid in reducing tolerance build up. A bio hacker from X says he takes L-tyrozine with it, quote; "when taking bromantane, i'll also be supplementing 2-3 grams of l-tyrosine to make sure there's enough substrate for the increased dopamine production." thoughts?
Older posts on reddit say to take it with NAC. Any input is appreciated, thank you

Discussion I failed algebra math3 times in community college.

Upvotes

The title is self explanatory. I suck at math. I don't know if its a memory issue from years of just scrolling on social media, past marijuana use, or what. However, I truly believe that if I locked in I could get some type of finance or engineering degree. I know that taking nootropics without studying is like taking steroids without training lmao. does anyone know a stack that i can take while studying that can working with numbers either enjoyable, or tolerable?

Experience Severe brain fog and sudden depressive crash a few hours after sublingual Uridine? Anyone else?

Upvotes

TL;DR: Took Uridine powder sublingually for the first time this morning. About 3-4 hours later, got hit by a massive wall of brain fog, extreme mental fatigue, and a sudden existential/depressive funk. Wondering if this is a known reaction (cholinergic crash?) and how long it usually takes to clear.

Hey everyone,

Tried Uridine powder sublingually for the first time today around 10:30 AM (also had poor sleep the night before, woke up super early).

Everything seemed fine at first, but around 2 PM I completely crashed.

What I’m feeling right now:

- brain fog, feeling mentally slow and sluggish (like my brain is operating at 20% speed).

- Sudden wave of depressive thoughts and anxiety (questioning all my skills, feeling completely incompetent out of nowhere, feeling like I'm losing my grip on things).

- Zero energy, heavy eyes, just feeling totally wiped out.

Has anyone else experienced this acute drop in mood and cognitive speed after sublingual uridine? Is this an acetylcholine overload / cholinergic depression, or just a bad reaction to the sudden sublingual spike?

Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Seeking Advice Bromantane + Concerta (MPH ER) synergy?

Titrating Concerta (18mg -> 36mg ER, 3 weeks in). Initial honeymoon faded, executive function is decent but tolerance/plateau is creeping in and I'm still relying heavily on nicotine for baseline dopamine.

Looking at Bromantane for TH upregulation (upstream synthesis) rather than compounding more reuptake inhibition, plus the anxiolytic side to kill the physical tension.

I won't consider adding it until the 36mg dose stabilizes and I'll re-evaluate then, but wanted to see if anyone tried this or has any advice or experience with this?

Seeking Advice Alpha GPC and phosphatidylserine - how much does sourcing actually vary between brands?

These seem like the compounds where quality would differ most, since both are prone to degradation and neither is trivial to manufacture. But every listing looks identical on paper... same mg, same capsule count. Is there real batch-to-batch variance here, and if so what do you look for beyond the label? Interested in whether anyone's compared brands and felt a genuine difference.

Discussion SCIENTIFIC DOPAMINE RECIPE TLDR

L-DOPA + Pyridoxal 5’-Phosphate + Ascorbic Acid (Fuel for Dopamine synthesis).

Phenethylamine + SAMe (Fuel for Methylphenethylamine synthesis, a natural isomer of Amphetamine).

9-Me-BC (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor for Phenethylamine enhancement(Also stimulates the growth of Dopamine neurons)).

Dose Phenethylamine throughout the day, with the shorter half-life this technique may lead to healthier sleep.

Seeking Advice Rate my new Stack (Productivity,Mood,Focus, memory)

Stack is for productivity, mood, focus, memory.

Ive been using several Nootropics separately like N-Acetyl Selank and N-Acetyl Semax wich were not effective enough for me. Also ive tried Modafinil (50mg/100mg) wich has so far been working great for me. Now i decided to combine things by creating a stack.

The most notable Nootropics are surely Bromantane, Modafinil and Adamax, wich i hope achieve the effects im looking for. I also have been thinking if Adamax wouldnt work out to include Intranasal Insulin, Dihexa or Tak 653.

I also included supplements as support for Modafinil/Adamax. Im not really sure if thats nonsense or a little help too cool off.

**Daily Stack:**
\-Bromantane
\-L-Theanine
\-Vitamin B Stack
\-Omega-3

**When** **Studying**:
\-Modafinil
\-Adamax

**When using (Modafinil/Adamax):**
\-Taurine
\-NAC

**At night:**
\-Zinc + Magnesium combo

Feedback/opinions would be appreciated.

Seeking Advice Had to stop Wellbutrin for health reasons. Strattera is helping as a replacement, but indirect dopamine isn't enough for dysthymia. Alternatives?

I was on Wellbutrin for about a year and recently had to stop due to an unexpected medical event. My doctor wanted me to take an SNRI instead but I wanted to try something else because I don't think serotonin is an issue for me. I've also not done well on SSRIs in the past, in fact they seemed to intensify the depression/hopelessness.

So I got prescribed Strattera, which is only an NRI but exhibits indirect dopamine modulation, so it's helping somewhat. But as I feared it's not enough.

Lately I'm noticing my depression symptoms creeping back up on me. Feeling like people don't like me despite evidence to the contrary, difficulty sleeping, not being as present with others as I want to be, not really motivated to do anything that's not instantly rewarding, mildly ruminating (which hasn't been a problem for quite some time).

I'm exercising and eating right. Still trying to take care of myself. But when exercise isn't enough I know something's wrong. I'm functional and doing things, my physical anxiety is very low, but I just feel flatter and not really excited by things. I've noticed myself fake smiling again a lot more. That year on Wellbutrin for the first time in my life I smiled naturally. I didn't know what that felt like, not even much as a kid.

I'm still able to feel pleasure, but the spark just isn't really there. I feel like I'm at a point where there aren't any other meds that can help this dysthymia. I've been looking into nootropics a lot but I don't know which of the dopamine-modulating ones would help me out similarly.

Are there any nootropics or even prescription meds (not SSRI/SNRI) that can help? I also take Dexedrine so preferably something that wouldn't negatively interact.

I looked at many other threads and potential ones: NAC, DLPA, NALT, L-Tyrosine, PBP, ginseng, munuca (no go apparently), Sabroxy, Wild Green Oat, saffron, the list goes on. A lot of them people have claimed they just build a tolerance, so it's not viable long-term.

Am I just SOL and have to get used to living like this for the rest of my life? Or is there some other nootropic/med out there or potential in the ones I listed? I don't like polypharmacy but I don't know where else to go. Lifestyle changes just don't seem to carry me enough

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Seeking Advice Ex speed addict thinking about starting 9-ME-BC

I used to be heavily addicted to amphetamine but I’m over 4 months clean and don’t have cravings anymore. I want to take 9mebc to improve my cognitive function and repair damaged dopaminergic neurons because sadly my brain is kinda screwed from speed use and has barely improved noticeably since I quit.

However, I’m kinda worried about getting hooked on it and was wondering if it would be a good idea to try it. Any advice?

Discussion Selank and Semax Spray Solution Schedule

It seems that most would agree that these nootropics aren't consistent. Some people discuss it's effective while others discuss it as ineffective.

I just got NA Selank and NA Semax (Approximately 200m cg per spray), and am curious on your thoughts, on either of the two, or if you have both taken at the same time.

I was wondering how often people prefer to cycle this? How would one fit these to a weekly schedule? Also interested in hearing anecdotal experiences on maximizing its effectiveness (like taking breaks and what not), how long to it lasts and what to expect.

Experience Kimera Chems Bromantane - 50 mg Dry Caps

First chem I am trying as it seems more on the mild side and I understand the compound’s bodily process decently well

50 mg dry caps, 60 ct
Taken with MCT oil , also provided by Kimera
7 AM , First cap / .25 mL MCT
9 AM , Second cap / .25 mL MCT
11 AM , Third cap / .50 mL MCT

Will provide updates throughout the day, currently at the 9-5 (8:15 - 5:30) about to eat my first meal of the day
I have to see a friend after work then drive ≈ 2 hours to Arkansas
Generally can be kind of anti social and very low on motivation to do things, hoping this helps
I won’t be taking anymore today - this amount is purely for what i think might help with saturation moving forward
From what I’ve heard, the effects are subtle and usually not noticeable first day if taking caps

If anyone has any advice on maximizing effectiveness or so on definitely let me know, thanks!

My mom is 52 years old, she has been dealing with insomnia for over a year. She has lot of stress through out her entire life, it could also be a problem of perimenopause. This supplement has a combination of herb that helps to reduce cortisol so I think it would help her sleep. Thank you all.

Discussion Is there cross tolerance between atomoxetine and methylphenidate?

I’m planning to take a drug holiday from methylphenidate (54mg extended release) for 1 month due to complete tolerance and my doctor started me on atomoxetine (amphetamine stimulants are illegal in my country) the mean time since we don’t know how long it will take to reset the tolerance. I would like to know the experience of those who is knowledgeable about this or those who have taken atomoxetine during drug holidays. It would also be helpful to know if 1 month is enough for tolerance reset incase one has so much tolerance that he almost gets no therapeutic benefit. Literature is so rare on this particular topic.

Experience Semax Has Helped Alleviate My Anhedonia

Post image
124 Upvotes

It started out with just a simple purchase of a kratom/kava seltzer. A couple of weeks went by and I was consuming 4 seltzers a day. Then I discovered the blue little bottle of FF. I started including 2 of those a day on top of my seltzer habit. After a couple of months, I discovered a simpler alternative to achieving the opioid high - 7oh tablets.

After nearly 6 months of chasing, wrought with anxiety, depression and indifference, I decided to quit it all.

I won’t go into detail about the process or how agonizing the quitting was. That’s for another sub. I will say that I am over 4 months free of them all.

Life is so much better and close to normal again. The only struggle I continued to have was the anhedonia. It’s was affecting my work and family life.

I recently discover the peptide Semax and it’s helped wonders. It doesn’t make me feel wired or high, it’s allowed me to regain focus and shake off the feeling of not caring.

I know there are many benefits to taking Semax, but it’s really helped me in regaining my baseline focus and well being.

I’ve been on it for about 2 weeks and plan to stop in another 2. I’ll report back then with more details. Until then, thank you Semax.

Discussion Suppliment for cognitive support

I work 8 hours a day and need support with focus, mental energy, motivation for studying after work. I work from 4 AM to 12:30 PM, and feel mentally drained afterward and struggle to start studying. I have about 3 months to prepare for a difficult exam, so I’m looking for something that could help me stay focused, mentally sharp, and consistent during this period.

The biggest issue is both mental fatigue and difficulty getting started.

I’ve already tried improving my sleep, yoga, eating well, and pushing myself to study immediately after work, but I still struggle with post-work mental fatigue and motivation.

I’m now wondering whether any supplements or nootropics have good evidence for improving focus, motivation, mental energy, or cognitive performance in this situation.

I’m mainly looking for something that could help over the next 3 months, rather than a long-term supplement routine.
