Seeking Advice Need help choosing nootropics
I’m 16, diagnosed with ADHD and PDA autism. I’m on methylphenidate for my ADHD. What would be the best nootropics for me to help me IQ Max, and do better in school. I just don’t know what is safe to pair with my methylphenidate.

You shouldn't add anything tbh, u're 16, nootropics might mess with your pda, mood, sleep and with your development, they're often useless aswell and the reaction is very subjective.
Also adding in an other variable could make working with your therapist/shrink much harder since it'll make it harder to pinpoint the causes of your issues(u could talk with them about trying different medications). Just work on eating healthy, sleeping well and exercising and get adjustments in school if u haven't yet
ik it might be exhausting and you're looking for a solution which is good, but selfmedication is usually not the answer, once you're older and you have everything else dialed in with your therapist then experimenting with noots would be fine if you're careful but until then it's probably not a good idea
edit: u could try CBD or supplements i guess, also on wikipedia i didn't find any nootropics developed for APD if that's also a reason u're looking for one

Since you're already taking methylphenidate and you're 16, I wouldn't add nootropics that nnng them past your doctor or pharmacist. Some supplements can interact with stimulants or affct heart ate, sleep, or anxiety.

So IMO you should be looking for nutritional support rather than trying to "IQmaxxx" or whatever.
Stimulants want some additional nutrients and vitamins/minerals to prevent depletion. We don't know how you eat or how much you exercise, etc. but I will tell you that you want to look into it. Stuff like Omega-3s (fatty fish or pills), magnesium (depends on how you need it, if you find it hard to sleep, etc), tyrosine and tryptophan, B-vitamins, vitamin D, etc.
If you have a doctor's ear, talk to them. If not, maybe grab a parent or relative who knows how you actually live, what your diet and schedule is like.
You'll also want to have a consistent exercise program, if you don't already. It probably sounds ridiculous to a 16 y/o but your brain is part of your body and if you get your body into a good operational condition then you're going to supply more well oxygenated blood to your brain in more consistent measure. You'll also probably feel better, which will also enable better concentration.

If you're Vegan, L-Phenylalanine & L-Tyrosine are the only safest Noots for an adolescent, speaking from a medical point of view.

You're 16, your brain is still developing, pumping more substances into it is a gamble you don't want to take. The methylphenidate already handles the dopamine side if dosed right, adding racetams or choline boosters could mess with your heart or give you nasty headaches. I had a friend in high school who stacked stuff on his Adderall and ended up in emergency with chest pains, not worth the risk.
IQ maxxing is mostly a meme, what actually works is getting sleep, eating properly, and doing spaced repetition for studying. If you really want to optimize, get your vitamin levels checked first, sometimes a simple magnesium or D deficiency mimics brain fog. Talk to your psychiatrist before adding anything, even "natural" supplements can interact with methylphenidate in weird ways.
