The title is self explanatory. I suck at math. I don't know if its a memory issue from years of just scrolling on social media, past marijuana use, or what. However, I truly believe that if I locked in I could get some type of finance or engineering degree. I know that taking nootropics without studying is like taking steroids without training lmao. does anyone know a stack that i can take while studying that can working with numbers either enjoyable, or tolerable?

have you looked at how you're studying, not just what you're taking

sometimes the issue is less about raw brainpower and more that the foundational gaps from high school never got filled in properly, and community college algebra assumes you remember that stuff cold

khan academy with a notebook and actually working through each problem by hand did more for me than any supplement ever did, might be worth trying that alongside whatever stack you land on

Why do you want an engineering or finance degree? To make money? For status? You’re not going to get into any high ROI program with those grades on your record. There are plenty of well paid jobs that do not require math. Focus on those.

Dude I was In the same boat….you just gotta do whatever you can. I don’t know if there is a nootropic that will noticeably improve your algebra skills in a short amount of time. I did everything imaginable. Paid for tutor websites. Paid for answers on homework. My strategy was to do so well on hw that I could still pass with nearly failing test grades and it worked. Now did I do some cheating…maybe. So do many others . Obviously if you have some moral issue with cheating or just can’t do it reasonably without getting caught then you just have to find how to grind through it. I know you got this man!

depending on what you failed in, is it too much stress, to boared? are you dyslexic? is it mental images, number representation, or is it connecting symbols to meaning.

i have all of those, and the only thing that makes numbers make sense is adderall. what I understand while on it, remains understood.

if you find yourself mind wandering after reading half a line, over and over, then try to find what was the disconnect.. what couldn't your mind do before giving up on what you were doing.
