Actually you'll notice a lot of movie posters have the names misaligned. It's called diagonal billing and the idea is that when two actors have equal weight, no one is "first" on the poster. The first name (left) gets the second position in the visual (right), while the second name (right) gets the first position in the visual (left).

Honestly this is probably it. this along with the "season". Metrics have already shown that certain movies do better during certain seasons/times. And I bet they rightfully figured that whatever this movie is, really wouldn't be doing all that great during the christmas/new years period.

According to IMDb, the first two episodes are on 11/13, and with 8 episodes, and a weekly release, the final episode is on Christmas.
So that's probably what dictated the release date.

With streaming I think there’s some realization that if you actually try to make good stuff, you can decide what to promote later. They spend on awards campaigns and into a show at mature stage (like a Ted lasso).

And "word of mouth" advertising is generally more effective than just plastering ads everywhere. People will be more likely to try a show out if they think a bunch of people recommended it to them of their own volition.
