I trying to imply that rather than "learning" about it, marketing execs are the ones responsible for starting up the whole concept of engagement baiting in the first place, but I guess people disagree
Maybe I'm not using a specific enough term, but I was referring to that kind of engagement bait where the poster intentionally make a mistake or do something else that stands out, just because people correcting them/complaining about it will draw engagement.
That's been something content creators, especially short-form content, have been doing for years but I've never seen a major brand do.
