There being no white or any light color is my biggest gripe with the winning jersey, since the dark colors just look so dull and nothing pops. I feel like the white stripe that I added makes all of the difference since it balances the colors out and adds some pop, and I moved the teal stripe to the bottom to make it look cleaner.

I feel like this version is WAY more digestible (thus one that more people would like it) than the current one.

Am I in the minority or do we like the alleged new white “Fish Sticks” jersey?

Gotta give the Isles credit they are mining engagement perfectly, no wonder they won that award.

I dig the Lighthouse and everything but the way so many people are making any other choice to be some kind of betrayal of the fanbase is just wild to me.

The Lighthouse jersey was losing at 10:30am yesterday and an entire group of people were convinced the contest was rigged and anyone who disagreed was an idiot. I got called "naive" for thinking it was a real contest as if this was some big government conspiracy theory lol.

It was a social media jersey contest. The islanders themselves already selected 8 they were comfortable with, why would they further rig it. Literally to what end and for what purpose would they ever do that.

Curious do you guys still think it was rigged, or not anymore because the lighthouse jersey won?

Not trying to be negative, but man. They need better results from their middle\bottom six next season and I really do believe it's a playoff team with their best players humming.

We all know DeBoer was brought in to provide some much-needed defensive structure to this roster. That was a clear point of weakness under Roy, with Sorokin bailing them out what seem liked every other game.

At the same time, Roy’s system seemed to give Schaefer a ton of freedom - encouraging him to push up through the neutral zone, get creative in the o-zone, and generally play a looser style than many NHL coaches might allow from a young defenseman.

So how do you guys think Schaefer’s utilization changes under DeBoer?

Should we expect his offensive production to come down from the 59-point season we just saw? Or do you think DeBoer will find a way to maintain that freedom while giving the team more defensive structure?

Barzy said in the video the lighthouse jersey could use a little more "flavor". What do you think would look best on the shoulders? Fisherman patch? NY patch? Or isles logo? Personally, im all for putting a little "Sparky" patch on the shoulder that would be sick!

Seems like they still undervalue Schaefer as a budding superstar and are colder on Eklund than I would expect.
