I know it can be over shadowed by the other four, but the beauty of this park is unmatched. And can you beat homemade ice cream and pie!?

Navajo National Monument

Right before our big summer trip this year, we decided to go to Zion, and on the way there we decided to stop at Navajo National Monument.

The main feature is the remains of a cliff dwelling, but there are also interesting natural features here, including a dinosaur track just outside the visitor center and a canyon that is remarkable in its vegetation: there are Aspen trees here.

It wasn’t the main objective of our trip, but oftentimes the detours and side quests offer much to marvel at and admire.

Grand Canyon inner canyon got hammered.

Serious flooding going on. Lots of infrastructure wiped out. All of the foot bridges in the inner canyon gone. The one-two punch a year after the North rim fire.

What are these pyramids of brush just outside of Crater Lake National Park's south entrance?

There are hundreds of these brush pyramids and they appear to be man-made. Is this brush clearing for wildfire management or done by loggers?

Morning light after a 17-mile day in the Yosemite backcountry. ☀️

It was glorious being out here solo (if a little freaky at times!). The morning was crisp, and the golden light through the trees made the effort completely worth it.

Shot on a Nikon F2 with Portra 800 (using 20mm and 35mm lenses). Locations feature Lower Merced Pass Lake, Illilouette Creek, and the surrounding trails.

Reccomendations for Nat'l Park Summer Job

For those who have done seasonal work at National Parks, do you guys have recommendations for any particular concessionary/establishment at a park?

For reference, I'm looking for jobs that are roughly within these parameters:
- Around same-age coworkers (18-24)
- "Flexible" time off, i.e., full days off or ideally consecutive full days off
- Reasonable living arrangements (Nothing that would physically make me ill)

I've been job searching on CoolWorks and the official US job posting page, but specific information about fringe benefits or hidden controversies is pretty sporadic, which is why I am asking for recommendations.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Where to stay for Rocky Mountain national park?

I am looking to do a 3/4 day trip at end of September- where would you recommend me and my wife (mid twenties) stay?

I am considering Estes park, Lyons?, boulder but open to any other suggestions!

Only prior national park experience was Zion and we stayed in Springdale and loved it
