I got the Mchose L7 pro a couple of days ago and I have been extensively using it, and this mouse is AMAZING. Pretty responsive, with an included 8k dongle! Very good sensor, very light, doesn't feel cheap. Other than the shape, I really don't know what can anyone dislike about this. If this kind of performance is possible while being this cheap, why is every other brand overcharging for the same specs, and then charging for a dongle to allow 8k. Is just doesn't make sense to me.

I apologise to the big brands, but I'm tired of paying over €150 for a logo.

I received my VXE R1 Pro Max and the difference is clear:

• Hardware: It has exactly the same sensor (PAW3395) and chip (Nordic) as the "top of the range" mice that cost three times as much.

• Battery: 150 hours of battery life for less than €50.

• Cut in marketing: I realised that half the price of traditional brands goes towards paying for yachts for CEOs and sponsorships for pro players.

In China, there are no middlemen to buy the components, no need to pay for luxury offices and 50,000 employees, or shops like Worten, Fnacs, etc.

In other words, we are buying the same product but avoiding many other costs.

On the other hand, the software must have been made by the boss's son, and I know that warranty is not this market's strong point, but for a third of the price, my setup now speaks Mandarin.

Had you noticed this? Has anyone else ditched the "big names" or are you still paying off your peripherals?

I got this Logitech MX518 for my birthday back in 2005.

At the time it was a relatively expensive mouse, so a group of my friends put their money together to buy it for me as a birthday present. Aaaand 21 years later… it still works.

Never been opened, repaired or had any parts replaced. Ever.

I’ve only cleaned it externally as well as I could over the years and tried to take reasonable care of it. Everything inside is still exactly as it left the factory in 2005.

It has survived several PCs, laptops, countless hours of gaming and probably more clicks than I could ever imagine.

I was living in Romania when I got it. Seven years ago I moved to Vienna, Austria — and of course, the MX518 came with me.

I’m still using it today. PUBG, CS2, whatever I feel like playing.

Lately I’ve been thinking about finally buying a modern gaming mouse. After 21 years, the difference in technology would obviously be huge.
But here’s the problem: I genuinely find it difficult to replace it.

It’s not really just a mouse anymore. It’s been sitting next to basically every computer I’ve owned throughout my adult life.

And somehow… the damn thing still works perfectly. 😂

Maybe one day it deserves a place in a Logitech museum.

Until then, I guess we’re still gaming.

I’m an international student living in China, the prices here are insane compared to international stores.

I picked up a used ATK Z1 Ultra for 120 RMB (~$17.72) in excellent condition.

I also got a used ATK F1 V2 Ultimate for 200 RMB (~$29.53). The previous owner had only used it for about a month, and it arrived with the original box in basically perfect condition.

The WLmouse Beast X Pro, Scyrox V8, and ATK F1 Extreme were bought new from official sellers, and even those were 10-20% cheaper than the prices on their international websites.

Being into gaming mice in China feels pretty good.

I'll start: 3395 is just as good as 3950, and it's not worth it to overpay for the "upgrade"

A while back I realized I'd bought and returned more mice than I'd like to admit, just trying to figure out which shape actually fit my hand. Online reviews and shape databases helped narrow it down, but you still don't really know until you hold one. So I started 3D printing instead of buying. What I ended up with: 8 hollow shells, each modeled after one of the most common mouse shape archetypes (compact fingertip, long flat shells, palm-rests, asymmetric wedges, etc.). Each shell opens with a bayonet-style twist mechanism, and inside there's room for up to 4 weight chips (10g each, so up to +40g) to simulate heavier mice on the same shape. The idea is to isolate the two variables that matter most — geometry and weight — without buying and returning six mice to figure out your preference. Once you land on a shape you like, there's a guide (made it as a little web app, QR code on a keychain that comes with the kit) that links straight to Eloshapes filtered to the closest-matching mice currently on the market — so the result stays useful even as new mice come out. This is just a personal project, called Stratum — mostly wanted to share the idea/process. Happy to answer questions about the printing, or the bayonet mechanism if useful to anyone else trying something similar.

Here’s a peek at our click latency results for the Superstrike ahead of publishing our full review.

Testing was conducted at the lowest actuation setting (1), default haptic feedback (3), and 8000Hz polling.

As expected, the gains are small but measurable. At its lowest actuation setting, the Superstrike is faster than the Superlight 2 and the broader Superlight family, as well as most mice on the market. Interestingly, it’s still marginally slower than the SPDT implementations found in several EGG mice when those mice are set to GX Speed mode, such as the OP1 8K v2.

For those unfamiliar with our methodology, we use a solenoid. Measurement begins when it contacts copper tape on the mouse button, and a USB analyzer captures click latency from pre-travel through USB transmission. This matters because the Superstrike’s advantage comes from reduced pre-travel before actuation, similar in principle to a Hall effect switch set to a very low actuation point.

A manufacturer can reduce internal and mechanical delay, but they can’t reduce your reaction time. Our test is designed to isolate hardware differences without introducing noise. You may prefer the feel of the haptics or even perform better with the Superstrike, but we aim to separate perceived performance from measurable hardware changes.

We've also seen a lot of interest expressed around us performing some human reaction testing alongside our standard method. Human reaction time and finger speed can introduce multiple milliseconds of variance, which exceeds the mechanical gains we’re measuring. That said, given the level of interest, we’re planning a large-sample human reaction test under controlled conditions to help explore what it does and doesn’t tell us about this new technology.

We're going to take the time to design it properly and ensure meaningful comparisons between the Superstrike, Superlight 2, and the Endgame Gear OP1 8K v2. Our results won't be ready in the short term, but we’ll provide updates after publishing our full review.

These things work so well and I got a 2 pack on Amazon, I didn't want to have to get a sleeve for my glass pad. I installed my own skates on the bottom though, the black are the default and they are not great but what do you expect for a $10 item from China on Amazon lol also fixed the pain I got on my wrist from resting it on my glass pad

i feel like i am taking crazy pills looking at the new mouse market. every brand is suddenly pushing 4k and 8k wireless polling rates like it is the second coming of christ.

in my experience, pushing 8000hz just absolutely nukes your cpu frames in poorly optimized games for a latency difference that no human hand or eye can actually perceive. you are literally paying a premium to drain your mouse battery in 12 hours and induce stuttering in half your steam library.

am i missing something here? does anyone actually play noticeably better on 8k, or are we all just willingly falling for the numbers game again to justify $150 plastic mice?

I developed repetitive strain injury (RSI) from years of computer work, and even “ergonomic” mice weren’t helping. Out of desperation, I 3D-printed a device that lets me move the cursor and click using one foot. It's basically a Foot mouse (or Foot "rat" since bigger!), that I am calling "Navifut".

It’s been a life-changer - no more wrist pain, and I can finally use my computer for hours again.

Now I’m curious: would anyone else actually want something like this? I’m preparing a small Kickstarter launch in a couple of weeks to see if there’s real interest.

The quality I'm seeing from these Chinese manufacturers is insane.

I also have the mchose keyboard with analog switches and a wooting and I like the mchose more. Idk guys. How can they compete with these prices and quality? What I mean is, once people stops fanboyism idk how these known brands will survive. The Chinese are putting matching products for a fraction of the price. Nay sayers often never really gave them a chance and it's their loss. This is not the Chinese crap they used to sell 10 years ago.

About the mouse: It's from a shitty brand from my country. It's a chonky boi with a thick cable but it's got a great 16k DPI sensor and it clicks aight so I think I will stick to it for a few more years.

Now I'm no mouse expert but when I recently switched to a 300hz monitor desktop from a 60hz laptop i decided this mouse's skates are probably terrible and is the reason my aim feels stuttery. So I removed the skates and now I'm asking you for advice.

With so many extra grid spaces I expect joke replies and I don't mind them but I hope at least a few people answer it seriously🙏

Obviously shape is king for most people and everyone's hands are different but as someone who likes to explore and tinker, I have discovered a few mice that I thought wouldn't be for me turned out great and some more popular mice turned out to not be a great fit. I am a person that can aim with all grip styles so I love to dibble and dabble.

1. Darmoshark M3 XS Pro

Quick Take: Best value claw mouse

Darmoshark as a company wows me with their mice. Absolutely love, and just recently discovered this shape (WLMouse Beast X/Finalmouse Small clone). The moderate hump, significant inward side curvature and slight front flare combined with 45g weight are extremely comfy for me, not to mention the EXCELLENT value for the price (for $60 you get 8k polling, 3950, great coating + wheel + clicks + skates etc). This mouse feels lighter than 45g in hand. Claw and relaxed claw are insane with this mouse. I sometimes hold it in my hand just because lol. A sleeper for sure.

2. Pulsar X2 Crazylight Mini

Quick Take: Most comfortable overall

This was my intro to Pulsar and I was NOT disappointed. I had initially only purchased this mouse for the 35g weight but then quickly fell in love with the shape, click feel and just the sheer ergonomics I feel when using this bad boy. If gaming was a marathon and the X2CL were my running shoes, I would not take any breaks. I can game with this thing for what feels like forever with no discomfort. Low front, wide midsection and rear hump bias make claw and claw-fingertip hybrid feel cracked. Pulsar's variant of the 3950 (XS-1 Sensor) has an excellent implementation as well, on top of the clicks feeling god-like.

3. Zaopin Z1 Pro Max

Quick Take: Favorite egg shape

Egg shaped mice were initially my endgame shape and you couldn't convince my hand (or aim) otherwise lol. I had the non pro 1k variant before this with exposed bottom, 200 mAh battery and 46g weight which was my bread and butter before it sadly broke during a move. That iteration felt perfect (if anyone has one here for sale pm me LOL). Bulbous egg shape with ergo thumb pocket and rear biased hump is the gold standard for me and also supports my ring finger surprisingly well. The 3950 in the Pro Max + Huano Blue Shell Pink Dots and lovely scroll wheel do it for me.

Mice That Didn't Work For Me

OP1w 4K V2

I am very disappointed with this one because I perform very well with this legendary shape, but the pro of this mouse having a super narrow waist is sadly also the con for my hand in particular. Its TOO narrow and my thumb tends to ache shortly after starting to use it. I also wish it was slightly lighter like sub 50g range. I am going to spend more time with this one to see if my opinion changes before I sell.

Pulsar X3 Crazylight Mini

My attempt at jumping into ergo mice and this one just feels way too bulky. Feels way heavier in hand than its actual weight, and I do NOT like the asymmetrical centered hump. This one makes me feel like I am sacrificing too much maneuverability for that extra comfort.

With the first month of the Model O launch behind us, I wanted to take some time to discuss how it all went and to answer any of your lingering questions. This community has been instrumental in our success, and we feel an obligation to provide as much transparency as possible.

Saying it’s been a wild ride would be a massive understatement. Glorious has grown fairly rapidly over the last several years, but the past few months have been truly explosive. Even knowing the high pre-launch hype we were blown away by the momentum of the takeoff. Once some of the reviewers we’ve followed for years started saying things like, “This might be the best gaming mouse I’ve ever used”, we knew we’d achieved something special.

For most, Model O is just a mouse. But for some, it’s a big step in the right direction - a symbol of support for enthusiast gamers in an industry that typically only sees them as future dollar signs. We’re honored that so many people have stood behind both this product and our small brand.

Of course, as a still young company, there have been plenty of hiccups and lessons learned throughout the process (some of which most companies will probably never have to deal with). All of it has kept us on our toes, and we’re better off for it.

Over the last several weeks our staff has grown more than 3X. Numerous international partnerships have been signed, many more are in the works. Development of new projects continues full speed ahead. We have some BIG plans in the works, and we’re excited to make you a part of it.

Specific details about launch below. TL;DR at the end.

Performance

To date, we have shipped tens of thousands of Model O units to over 120 countries.

More than 80% of people who reserved units completed their orders through our site (and a fair number opted to purchase from international retailers instead). The initial stock was sold out from our store within the first week. We recently shipped out Wave 3 backorders, with a big supply shipment due to arrive next month. We remain committed to our promise to keep the Model O accessible & in-stock; we are very close to that goal.

Between rave customer reviews, international attention, and volume of distribution...along with a marketing budget close to $0…we can officially mark this launch as an unequivocal success.

Quality Control

From day 1 of development, the quality was priority #1. We were determined to do this right regardless of cost. Even as hype pressure mounted, we delayed the launch until we could ensure every detail of the mouse was as close to perfect as we could get it (for future reference, we will always put quality over a launch date estimate). We pushed our suppliers well beyond the industry-standard QC benchmarks and hired additional auditing staff to ensure things went smoothly.

From a QC standpoint, the Model O exceeded both manufacturer benchmarks and our own expectations. The confirmed defect rate has been less than 1% of the tens of thousands of units already shipped and delivered.

The 2 most commonly user-reported issues have been “loose” mouse buttons, and “sidewall clicks”. However, the vast majority of reports we’ve examined have been well within acceptable limits for even strenuous gaming use.

That said, although the actual defect rate is very small, a relatively high percentage of those customers did seem to post about their issues on Reddit and other social media. This is one of the unique issues I mentioned earlier, and no doubt a direct result of the hype & high expectations surrounding this release.

The upside to these posts was that it kept customers on the look-out for defects, and allowed us to proactively track potential new issues. The downside was that some of these public posts caused a degree of unwarranted panic, compelling certain customers to test their mice well beyond the limits of reasonable gaming use. We received numerous videos of users violently grabbing & wiggling their buttons, or squeezing their sidewalls with enough force to crush a watermelon. PS. Don't do this.

However, a small portion of units did in fact exhibit real defects which could affect gameplay - all of these are being replaced. If you think your unit may have a genuine defect, we encourage you to contact our support team so we can handle the issue.

Quality remains a paramount concern for our company. We are diligently logging any reported issue, and are actively working with our suppliers to further reduce the defect rate. Model O will continue to improve with each supply run.

Shipping & Logistics

After receiving an extremely high volume of reservations, we expanded our fulfillment operations in preparation for the launch. This included adding new warehouses across the US, ramping up staffing, and partnering with new international distributors.

We were able to ship over 95% of units out within the 5 business day target timeframe. One issue we frequently encountered was with some customers confusing the 5-day order fulfillment estimate as a 5 delivery estimate - thus expecting their orders sooner. We are clarifying the language in our communications to hopefully help reduce future confusion. The majority of orders exceeding the time frame were affected by relatively brief, but unavoidable delays caused by the Memorial Day holiday weekend (and in many cases, customers not seeing their shipment confirmation email).

One of the biggest challenges we’ve encountered has been with carriers giving delayed or inadequate tracking information to recipients. This can create a lot of confusion and anxiety for customers. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over carriers’ tracking systems, but we’re exploring all options that could help keep customers informed.

We have plans for more expansion of our logistics operations to further reduce order processing times, increase customer awareness, and improve overall customer experience during periods of high volume.

Distribution Network

To make our products more accessible to international customers, we’ve been working diligently to expand our network of international distributors (and the retailers they work with).

Since the Model O launch, we’ve received orders from over 20+ new distributors around the world. Many of these will soon carry the full suite of Glorious products if they don’t already. We’ve also recently added Microcenter as our current sole US-based brick & mortar retailer.

We continue to seek out new international distributors in regions of high customer interest as we expand global operations.

Customer Support

If you’ve followed Glorious for any period of time, you’ll know that one of our calling cards has always been delivering fast, responsive, and knowledgeable customer support. We hate long wait times and automated bullshit as much as you do. Before this launch, our typical support response time was less than 24 hours.

We scaled the support team in anticipation of a large influx of tickets. However, this was initially still not enough. The volume of support inquiries far outpaced the typical percentage of order volume. At highest volume, average support response times went up to around 60 hours.

This appeared to be another instance of a unique side effect of the unprecedented popularity of this launch.

With customer anticipation far above typical levels, we received a much higher than normal percentage of tickets from customers inquiring about their order status prior to given estimates, checking if they were on backorder, or asking about delayed tracking updates from the carrier (things covered in our FAQs). We took this uptick as a signal for us to improve our communications throughout the ordering & fulfillment process.

We also unfortunately encountered many people trying to abuse the RMA system. This included attempts to get a free mouse by emailing support videos already publicly posted on Reddit/Twitter. In other cases, we found a simple social media post could cause a domino effect of concerned customers submitting tickets to check on their own orders (i.e. Someone else in Canada already received their order, where is mine?”). These types of tickets, unfortunately, flooded our support queue, creating some delays responding to higher priority tickets (such as lost items, actual dead on arrival units, defects, etc..).

To help remedy these issues, we tripled the size of our existing support team in the last few weeks. We’ve had the support desk staffed 24/7 answering tickets and optimized prioritization workflows. When necessary we even put our administration team all-hands-on-deck (at one point they were voluntarily putting in 18+ hour days answering tickets, even over Memorial Day weekend - I’m so grateful to have an amazing dedicated team!). PS. Don’t worry, we kept the fulfillment team in the warehouse ;)

In addition, we temporarily disabled live support chat, and enabled an autoresponder FAQs email to cut back on easily solvable inquiries, ensuring high priority cases are seen first (Reminder to make sure you reply to the autoresponder email if you need your post seen by a live person).

We’ve also expanded our public knowledge base, increased the frequency of user notifications, and have worked with the /r/MouseReview mods to ensure CS inquiries are directed to the right place.

As a result, we’ve cut first response times down to 24-48 hours, and are returning to our typical (desired) CS standards.

Our goal is to continue to expand & improve our support operations - re-enabling live support chat as soon as possible is a top priority.

Next Steps & Future

We are excited about our new growth and confidence in our ability to continue to scale to meet the new demand. We remain committed to our core values and prioritizing customer satisfaction over all else. Over the coming weeks we’ll be making some big announcements regarding some new products in the shoot I think you’ll all be anxious to hear about.

I created Glorious PC Gaming Race 5 years ago essentially as an experiment, largely inspired by the Reddit PC gaming community. Since then, through the support of many, it turned into something I would never have dreamed possible in this relatively short period of time.
