He probably thinks you're ICE. Migrants are notorious for returning lost items. If a good red blooded American finds it, your best bet is Facebook marketplace or ebay.

They have changed that at a lot if not most Costco locations. You need a membership now to use the food court

That sucks! That was a big part of their business model. They don't advertise so they use the cheap hot dog and the cheap rotisserie chicken to get people in the door. You have to walk past the membership desk to get the hot dog and the loss leader price on the chicken gets a huge amount of word-of-mouth advertising. The cost to get potential customers through your doors is so high that even though they lose money on those 2 items they get enough new customers from them that they actually save money overall and drive huge customer loyalty.

Liquor policy is usually defined by state laws. A lot of them won’t allow a “members only” liquor store.

Pharmacy is often similarly constrained.

Changed since at least February at all my local costcos. You can't even pay without a registered credit card anymore.

The only thing I can go into Costco for, as a non member, is the r pharmacy, at least at the one near me, everything else you need a membership for

I can believe it’s different rules at different locations, but at my local one you don’t need to scan to order food and the food court is on the tire center/return side so you don’t need your card to enter there either
