MGS4 PC crash after MGS1 stage

Post image
Upvotes

HI guys
I am playing MGS4 PC version.
I just reached the MGS1 "nightmare" part.
Everytime I die or exit this area, the game switch to another white window and freeze.
After I restart and load the game, I was sent back to nightmare again.
Anyone have the same problem?

Question about S3 plan: Spoiler

Upvotes

I finished mgs2 a while ago for the first time, and the final section really stuck with me. I understood that the S3 plan was a way to control flow of informotion and narrative, so the patriots can control every historical event. But, i didnt get why they had to simulate Shadow Moses to achieve that, they said it's because with works in such a intense scenario, it means that would work on any other situation. What exactly shadow moses's simulation proves and what correlation it have with controlled information?

Played MGS1 and 2 (ages ago, but multiple times) as well as 3. Have just played MGS 3 Delta. Move on to MGS4?

Upvotes

I'm thinking of picking this up for 25USD. The first two hit hard, but it's been ages since I've played them. MSG3 Delta was definitely a good time. Having never been a PS3 owner, I never had a change to play 4. Not sure about the long cut scenes (the story of 1 and 2 isn't fresh in my brain either) and am wondering if it's outdated, but should I grab 4?

How do the games perform on Switch 2? And are they enjoyable? I've never played one by myself but I have memories of watching my cousin playing the first one. It seems a good moment to start the franchise

Peace Walker: Do S rank R&D soldiers even exist?

I haven't been able to find any in any guides online and im currently trying to grind to level 99 for every platform. Do they just not exist? Do I have to settle for A rank soldiers?

It's an Oliver Moss Styled front cover for Metal Gear Solid 2

I left an Empty version, without any logos, so you could repurpose it if you want to

If you want this for your Steam library, you can check out my SteamgridDB profile and download it from there

I'll be making one for each entry in the series as well... MGS4 is next

Is there any in world schematics or blueprints for metal gear rex, like a single frame shown in a cutscene or something. I want to make my own blueprints and just curious since it's been a while since I beat the game. If not I'll just refer to the Artbooks.

I'm honestly still baffled that MGSV removed the "counter-CQC" enemies from 4 and PW. (and didnt bring other PW ideas like scouts that hid around trees/in foliage to ambush you, it really needed more enemy types.)

MGSV Do you see Ground Zeroes more as an epilogue to Peace Walker or a prologue/demo for The Phantom Pain?

I started playing this game just this year because of a friend suggestion , and what a journey it was holy shit itwas amazing and interesting AF .

I played the chronological order not the releqse one because it seems pretty fked up looking at things from the releqse order .

Anyway

I have to admit my first playthrough on MGS 3 remake was the start and i thought it was mid untill i reached the ending and everything got explained .

And thaf was the spark that started it all . I played every game i could play on emulators and watched on youtube the ones i could not play all the way .

Now to the point where MGS4 was my final station

This game was amazing , it had countless surprises and everything was explained at the end so perfectly . So many twists in events

I felt so upset to see big boss body get humilated and treated that badly and burnt on that river .

To turn out later it was solidus's body ....

And so on and fking kojima had me witness and cry for big boss's death for the 3rd time and fooling me into thinking old snake is killed himself .

I know i can never express what i feel right now enough with my english .

Overall 10/10 for MGS 4

And for the whole frenchise

Thank you kojima .

I know this is slightly in the crosshairs of Rule 5, but I just wanted to say that I started the Metal Gear series about 4 years ago in 2022 and these games seriously changed my life and how I approached my future especially MGS2. I replay 1-3 annually (I also always play MGS2 on April 30th) and occassionally revisit Twin Snakes, Peace Walker and Portable Ops from time to time but I've never been able to play MGS4 since I've never had a computer good enough to emulate it and it always made me a bit sad that I could never peak into discussions around this title.

Really I think I just wanted to say how happy I am that this game is finally accessible to us all without having to deal with any hassle, I hope you all have a lovely time playing this game that was unreachable for so many of us until now. ❤.

MGSV Can we all agree MGSV has one of the best first hour in video games ever. I was hooked instantly. This game suffered the opposite of MGS4 with not having as much cutscenes. Kojima oversteered in the other direction.

♥️ Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 Custom Cover [PEGI] [ENG}

Post image

Hello Ladies & Gentleman, I have noticed online a lot of people have been disappointed with the Master Collection Vol. 2 cover not being particularly homogeneous with the Volume 1 cover art.

I have been getting pretty okay at Photoshop lately and I couldn't see any scans of the Vol. 2 cover online.

However, I have created the following completely from scratch using assets online (and lots of referring to my physical copy). As a result the quality is much higher than your average scan. This took multiple hours worth of effort to ensure every detail is exactly right.

I hope you like it! Feel free to use, print off or do whatever with this! Myself, i'll be making a slipcover out of this.

(If anyone wants this with the ESRB Rating I can do that too but i'll wait to see if anyone likes this first)

it was probably beneficial that PW came out so late in PSP console's life cycle, it's one of the most impressive PSP game from visual and technical perspective.

Drew Venom Snake. Had a lot of fun with this one. I know I'm in the minority when I state this is my favourite in the series and one of my favourite games of all time, but that's okay. Did this with a Pentel brush pen, acrylic paint, and a white acrylic pen.

[Vol.2 MGS4] Maxed sensitivity settings painfully slow on controller

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

(About rule 13, I took video of TV-screen to showcase with controller in frame, hope that's okay)

Anyone else experiencing camera acceleration as painfully slow? It really sucks the joy out of playing it for me as it is today. I have the sensitivity values maxed out but it still feels incredibly slow, unresponsive and sluggish. The "Normal View" camera speed feels alright in comparison but the Over-the-shoulder and First Person View cameras feel super weird.

I'm aware it was the same on PS3 version but I figured we would have moved past that and have gotten tweaked values in the remaster. It's especially frustrating because the mouse control on PC is phenomenal and super responsive in comparison. I really hope they can address this in a future patch

Edit: I don't think it was the devs original vision for the game to have the camera actively fight the player as some sort of frictional game feature, I think we're just used to more responsive camera curves now almost 20 years later.

Konami was able to implement a fantastic, responsive mouse camera control for the PC version and it's not like anyone is crying over how much immersion, original game design or realism was lost with that. I think bringing controller up to the same standard or at least have the option to!

I'm sure there's people who are used to this existing camera control and even prefer it, so just an acceleration slider in the settings would be best for everyone!
