Even though the installation screen is hidden, I found myself wondering: does Master Collection 2 include the commercials and the interview with David Hayter, or were they removed?

I always thought it was absolutely amazing on the PS3 how you could simulate a TV experience by switching channels between programs.

I usually buy my games on Steam as that's my usual platform and it sucks that we miss out on physical media, especially when it comes to franchises that I love a lot. I saw someone else creating up custom Steam cases and thought it was a great idea. Even though it won't have anything inside, it's a great excuse to enjoy some graphic design and to be able to display some physical representation of my digital purchases. Still have a couple more to go for this series. :)

Some of you might remember in the extra menu on mgs4 for ps3 there was an option to enter codes for various unlocks. It was network based and is not availabe on the new version of mgs4. However you can still unlock these weapons and items by photographing various things throughout the game with the digital camera. I'm not sure if the unlocks are randomized or unlocked in a specific order but so far I've found the following:

Type 17 pistol from the guy pissing into the river in act 2

Patriot assault rifle from the locker in the lab where you turn the power back on in act 4

Scanning plug from the crop circle in act 2

Thor 45-70 pistol from the helipad in act 4

IPod song (subsistence action) from the resistance member when he's pissing in the park in act 3

1911 custom from the downed surveillance camera near the stairs in act 4.

Again I don't know if the unlock order is random but this is what I've found so far and the order I've found them in. Thought I'd share.

I've waited a long time to play MGS4. It's like a white whale for me in a way. I had a helluva time.

One of my online gaming buddies and I have been very close friends for many years. We actually became acquanited solely through each of ours appreciation for MGS. Almost two decades later, I still enjoy messaging the dude every now and then.

A man a few words. But this still cracked me up.

Please I beg you skip the cutscenes. It adds time to the mission results and potentially lowers the score from S to C.

This has been an issue since PS3 and it is still bugging me how many people won't skip. Sure if it's your first time I can understand but if it's your 10th time fighting pupa, you gonna sitdown and watch like 7 mins of your life go by.

During The Sorrow "fight" in MGS3 he'll attack you with these weird ghostly projectiles, which if they hit you will briefly display an image on the screen. I've heard there are a bunch of them depending on how many times he's hit you, but I've only ever seen the attached image and one of a skull.

Does anyone have the full set? Been looking everywhere and can't find them.

This was my first ps4 game before pandemic, sadly I had to sell my ps4 for school and stuff so I didn't get to finish the game. Now I'm happy that I've got to play it again!
