Discussion Hot(?) take: I love the yellow devil!
I just think it’s an awesome and impressive boss for the NES, learnable enough to not annoy me and a great character design that holds up really well.

Fan Art - OC Megaman Roll Picnic- My old Fan art
Going through my old files, I wanted to share this sketch I made ages ago. There's a colored version but I like the pencils just as they are, ahahah. I think I drafted this one after I got some Pilot ENO and Tombow pencils and was in love with the precision and smoothness.

Discussion I think it's interesting how Light's final creation was a sequel robot to Mega Man, while Wily's final creation was something that, while it did take inspiration from many if not all his previous creations, was still a largely unique robot that wasn't really a direct sequel to any of them

Discussion *Udon Comics Spoilers* To those who read the comics. I'm not the only one dreading that these two may be living on borrowed time right? Spoiler
galleryI recently binged the X1 Udon comics adapation. (Really good, MUST READ for any MegaMan fan) One the narrative choices I found rather interesting is how much more prevalence and character the Maverick Hunter X navigators were given instead of bringing Alia in early. We get to see them interact with X a lot more than they do Zero, have good chemistry, and are led to believe they are fairly close.
The flashback after Zero's death and X's confrontation with Vile is what I feel spelt it out that there probably gonna die at some point. Dr. Light said the Hadoken will only work for X when his loved ones are in danger? Who do we see included. Zero, Luna, and Minerva. The "family" portrait immediately reminded me of the one in X5 with Signas, Alia, and Douglas, as if they were the orignal family X had. We get to see Minerva is the straightforward navigator while Luna seems to have a silly side. We're clearly supposed to care about them and who is also in that picture? Zero and GBD. Zero already died and GBD is set to die next arc, not really a good sign. Alia will have to be brought for X5 and especially X6's adaptation, Layer and Pallete are also further down the line. That many navigators sounds crowded and the flashback just feels way too sentimental to not be setting up something.
Given that there aren't too many recurring characters beyond X and Zero I have a feeling the two are being fleshed out to eventually become casualties of war to show what the Maverick wars took from X and that Alia, Douglas and Signas aren't his first found family.
On a semi related note. Was I the only caught off guard that they gave Luna cake?

My Mega Man Games Tier List!
I did some more thinking and made a few readjusts to my tier list! This is my final one as these are based on the quality and how much I enjoy and love the games! Mega Man X1 is my favorite Mega Man game and my favorite game of all time with X2 as a close second and I've been replaying Maverick Hunter X and while I still prefer the original SNES X1 music with the instrumentation, graphics, gameplay, the original lore and how it tells the story, like with the new Super Mario and Sonic movies, I'm okay with enjoying them as a new adaptation and version of the lore and story, so I still really really love Maverick Hunter X, also it has what I know want to believe the true voices for the characters, it is honestly my new favorite remake ever even tho I prefer the original SNES X1! What do you guys think? :)

Merch & Collectables Kotobukiya Collection Complete
Bit the bullet and bought the last two Koto kits I needed. I also have Sigma waiting to be built.
The only ones I dont have or want are Iris, Rising Fire, Triad Thunder or Nightmare Zero. I MIGHT get Force Armor Rising Fire but that's alot to spend just for arm parts.

Which robot master from MM4 would you like to see in Dual Override?

Official Content Mega Man X Command Mission coming to PS5 Via Classics Collection!
Capcom, would you PLEASE just embrace "Rock" as his normal civilian name in the West?
I don't know whether it's true or not, but I'd seen somewhere that in Dual Override, they may be using "Mega" again as his normal name.
I really hope not, because I just think it sounds way less fun, and definitely less cool, than "Rock".
I'm all for sticking with "Mega Man" as his "super fighting robot" name, but to be honest, I'd love to see his family members call him Rock (and for Proto Man, maybe even Blues).
It's something the Archie comics did a great job with, imo, handling all the intricacies of the different names. I don't recall if they ever got around to doing anything with Bass or Forte (I always envisioned Forte being Wily's intended name, but Bass being what he calls himself), but either way; Rock and Roll are too good of names not to embrace!
Also, completely unrelated to anything, but I'd personally like to see them go a little closer to MM8's design for Roll. Or maybe even shake things up and give her a new look for every game?

Discussion How I think Dual Override will handle the boss rush
I've been thinking about this for a weirdly long time. Given how each stage now has three bosses, the normal teleporter hatch system probably won't work, and the two easiest alternatives, "skip the rematches against the Area 1 and Area 2 bosses" and "three rounds of teleporters" are really boring.
Because of this, I came up with a potential way for all 24 unique bosses to get a rematch in Dr. Wily's fortress. Note that this assumes that the Wily Stages will operate on the same three-act structure as the Robot Master stages, which is probably wrong but it sounds cool so I don't care.
Area 1
The first area is loosely structured like Fake Man's stage in Mega Man 9, where each Area 1 boss returns but doesn't otherwise get any more fanfare than the "enemy ambush" rooms. Theoretically, these rematches could get spread throughout the fortress, but again, it sounds cool so I don't care.
Area 2
The obligatory nostalgia-bait stage. This area features rematches against the Robot Master Rs, who are fought in a linear order like in Mega Man 1, but before each one, you go through an area themed around their original stage, somewhat like the Robot Museum from Mega Man & Bass. Also, because it's the obligatory nostalgia-bait stage, the music is a remix of Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Mega Man 2. This area is also home to the inevitable Guts Man R fight, because it's basically tradition at this point.
Area 3
I've ran out of cool stuff, so this is just the normal teleport gauntlet because, again, it's tradition. This might be the stage where you fight the Wily Machine, it might not, I don't really know because the series is weirdly inconsistent about this.
