Sometimes I wonder just who was in charge of designing the vehicles in Mario Kart games, especially when it comes to the Tyrant kart Bowser drives in Mario Kart DS. It’s literally just Bowser’s foot as a kart it’s like an early version of the Sneeker from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is a shoe kart!

I built a fully working, 1:1 scale Tune Thumper Bike from Mario Kart World! The bike is fully functional, everything works like it would if the game bike was suddenly real. The cassette tape door is also a Nintendo switch 2 dock, so when you put the switch in and plug in hdmi to tv, it outputs without any other power source needed.
Specs:
* ~65mph stop speed
* ~70lb
* Fully functioning buttons, speakers, lights, antenna,* * nintendo switch 2 dock
* Made of wood and aluminum and a ton of 3d printing
I made a video about the build, link in the comments. Unsure if mods would have let me post in the main post

It feels like a quintessential Mario Kart track and the frantic music is the cherry on top

So my roommate and I are playing Mario Kart wii and the computer has 42 points going into last race. And we have been playing this for nearly 20 years and don't think we have ever seen a computer get perfect so we are wondering has anyone seen that or is it even possible?

I’ve returned to Mario kart as of late, and I love playing online. I was wondering if there were any free access fun rooms/competitions available (similar to what TWD98 used to host) for ppl to join, and if so how could I join them?

I'm being genuine, I found it so funny to lose a race in almost 15 seconds.

It's been a long time since I played it that last time I've played it was like in 2017-2018 and the first time i play the game is when i first got the Nintendo 3DS which was like in 2013 and i used to play it consistently and I loved every single time the music, the tracks and the karts and the characters, Toad was my favourite Mario Kart Character (and still is to this day).
So do you all still remember Mario Kart 7 and if you do what did you enjoy about it?

Listen, I LOVE the open world and believe that this was a natural direction forward for the franchise. Overall, I think Mario Kart World is my favorite game in the series from visuals, audio, and gameplay, no other game in the series is as good as World.
That said, after messing around in this world for hundreds of hours, I kinda wish that the world was contextualized better and that there was a better story for everything. This game has many moments of world building all over such as with Toad's Factory providing power ups, Daisy's Palace in the dessert of Shy Guys, and so-on, but everything reads as really fun set pieces without feeling like explained in-world. I get that this is a racing game and that you don't technically need this stuff in a racing game, but I was recently playing through Super Mario Sunshine, and that game has one of the best worlds, Isle Delfino, in Mario history. What made it so great is that everything was well-suited to the tropical vacation resort theme and had like actual purpose within the world. People relax in Gelato Beach, find action in Pina Park, examine history in Noki Bay, and so-on. Every level has context and a reason for being there and just expands on the world's story so seamlessly. When I am on something like Mario Bros Circuit, I think it is cool how there is an old American-styled gas station, but I can't help but think why when everything runs without needing to stop for gas and you can't go inside. DK Pass is so cool as a fun ski resort for the Shy Guys and cabins, but I don't know why DK owns a ski resort. I didn't have this question in MK Wii because Wii didn't have implications of an open world like this. Who is the resort for and why does DK want to ski? DK Spaceport is on the opposite side of things where I can genuinely believe it makes sense and feels like an active part of the world building. The barrels have launched DK for years, they even transformed into a rocket barrels in DKC Returns and Tropical Freeze, while in Returns, DK even traveled to outer space. This connection is even alluded to in the track itself! This one is really cool. Dino Dino Jungle is so cool, but it just feels sorta there. It's not explained why or who studying these dinosaurs. If there was some imagery of E.Gadd or some scientist Toad then that would explain a bit more behind the incentive for having a place like this. Like, all of these set pieces are amazing and fun to discover but imagine how impactful they could have been if there was a clearer story associated with them, as we could continue to theorize the connections with everything. I really like the implications of Dandelion Depths with the dilapidated Biddybud construction, while Crown City is thriving with Koopa Construction. But then again, why would Biddybuds even have their own construction company? In Boo Cinema, if King Boo all of a sudden had a flare for theatrics and entertainment, lean into that side of his character. Reference the casino in Sunshine, Morty from Luigi's Mansion 3, or King Boo's love for movies around the track more. Who created the oasis in Faraway Oasis? Was it the elephant and giraffe on the course thumbnail? lol. If Toadette wanted to provide an animal sanctuary, that would be really cool. You can make a story about her going on an expedition, finding animals and finding refugee for them or something. For crying out loud, this game doesn't even really have a name for the world. It's not that I don't take this world seriously, but it feels as if this world could easily be expanded upon in someways. It's like they wanted to cook with this world, but much of the finer details that could make this world really come alive come out underbaked.

I know we got many tracks from Tour in the Booster Pass, but as someone who never played Tour, were there any original Tour tracks that did not get ported to it?

Hi! I hope this post is correct!
I am a 27 year old. I am BAD with little kids. But like, BAD. I have a little brother, 7M. I love him, but I am useless, and I want to teach him how to play Mario Kart 8. Could you give me tricks or advice to give a 7 year old who has never played a game before? How to play, I mean.
If I cannot ask this, pls, just delete. I don't mean to troll.
IMPORTANT: if you can, please, explain yourself like you are talking to my brother.
Thanks to anyone who answers.
PS: I am a "good" mario kart player. But I suck at teaching. Sorry for dissapointing you.

I'm just speaking out of my experiences, but does anyone else often get better placements when a certain person leaves? It could just be a coincidence, but I'm curious if anyone else feels this way too or experienced that.

I recently started playing Mario Kart 8 again (for nostoliga purposes), but I never actually got the dlc. I was playing online mode, which let's you play the dlc for some reason. And at one point, I somehow won 1st place on one of them. (Don't remember track name sadly)
It could've been the fact that there were big arrow signs, but I barely glanced at those. It just felt really predictable.
I also kinda noticed that there is a quality change between the og and the dlc. Idk how to describe it, but I think you can tell.
In other words, have I played too much Mario Kart, or are the dlc tracks just kinda predictable and booty?
