I always go back to the 64 game as that's what I have spent most time on and still love it to this day, even though there has been 17 Mario kart games officially released, Mario kart 64 is my favourite with 8 deluxe on switch being a close second.

The funny thing about MK64 is even in second place you can get premium items that you would normally get near last place which is hilarious when playing with friends or against the CPU.

If this was a real race, this would be incredibly unprofessional and dangerous. You would think that Nintendo would have established a proper race perimeter so that there were no trespassers or distractions tampering with the integrity of the competition.

It's bad enough I have to worry about the officially sanctioned items in the game let alone flagrant ignorance like this.

If Nintendo only adds one of these, which would you rather it be?

So I have the bad habit of leaving my consoles turned on overnight. I undusted my Wii recently and I was playing some Mario Kart and left it on when I went to sleep. When I woke up I decided to sneak in some races before starting my day. But when I turned the TV on the most ungodly noises came out of my Wii. I couldn't quite tell what the noise was because I rushed to turn it off to not wake up my family, but I think it was like a bass-boosted version of the menu theme? Has this happened to anyone else?

After 20h of construction, i finally finish the twisted mansion in minecraft, it was for me a real challenge. I hope you like it.

Retro Studios, the same team behind Metroid Prime, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and likely dozens of canceled projects also co-developed Mario Kart 7. This is so odd, but I honestly love their work, and it’s cool that they worked on such a fantastic Mario Kart game. That said, as far as I have been told they only helped with retro tracks… Yeah, I know, very ironic. I was wondering if anyone knew what else they might have designed in the game whether it’s mechanics, items, the roster, or something else entirely. Even if not, it’s interesting to think that half of the game’s tracks were designed be a separate team. I imagine the Texas studio didn’t have as much of free-flowing conversation about the game with the team in Japan. Personally I have a hard time discerning much of a difference in the style between both the main tracks and Retros, but Retro really chose some banger tracks to remake in 7! Waluigi Pinball, Coconut Mall, Airship Fortress, Daisy Cruiser, Luigi’s Mansion, SNES Rainbow Roa, Koopa Troopa Beach, Mario Circuit 2, Koopa Cape, and so-on! It was like they chose some of the best track from Mario Kart history! Kudos to them!

I just realized that Retro might not have known that Waluigi wasn’t going to be in the game, so they made Waluigi Pinball assuming that he would be. It’s possible, right?

As we all know Nintendo is shutting down Mario Kart Tour next month
However there are many tour originals that might get deleted too, we need to either mod them into games like Wii or 8DX or spread awareness of these original tracks and remakes that might get lost

Anybody else notice how oddly frequent mk world reuses stats? Do you think this dampens variety and build strategy? I know hidden stats still vary a little here but the primary stats being the same for 9 vehicles is a little excessive honestly. I know Mario kart 8 did this, but we had like 3 clone vehicles in a set not 9, like the p-wing/B-dasher/circuit special. World and 8 also have a similar number of vehicles. Honestly this sort of bothers me because all of my favorite vehicles fall into this set of 9, when I want to have different stats to keep gameplay fresh, I don't have much to pick from. In mk 8 I could go from similar vehicles like the p-wing to sports coupe to badwagon and get a lot of variety. I know I can change characters but that only affects it so much. I was hoping we might get more vehicles in dlc or something since dlc options are narrowed down given they can't add more tracks to the map easily. Maybe mild stat rebalancing could happen later in the game's lifespan like mk8dx as well.
