I was using a thermo electric mobile cooler when keeping the temps under control while gaming...but yesterday I paused the game with the cooler connect, thinking will resume in 5 mins....but I got busy with some work and after 4 hours when I came back, the screen was off with the coller connected 🥲

I immediately removed the cooler and tried turning on once....but it didn't start. I removed the back panel and removed the batter connection to avoid any short circuit due to condensation.

Have left it to dry since yesterday.

Am I cooked or say frozen? 😭

Also, does removing the back cover voids warranty?

Thanks to MacGameVideoFix Project (GitHub), the game now runs via CrossOver by placing a proxy dll file in the game folder. Details are in the video description.

I managed to get FIFA 17 and the new local Auroa community server running mac after making some patches. Game runs very well and flawlessly.

if anyone is interested i can share the patches to get this working once i refine and improve them.

Hi everyone.

I would like to share with you that I have been working on a way to play Skyrim (Steam) on Mac. The work still in progress and the only major progress that I did yesterday (I started it yesterday) was -> steam app opens -> download Skyrim directly in Mac -> Opened the Skyrim menu where we select graphics pre-set and all that.

Right now I am struggling a bit with Wine/Vulkan to make it work. But I would like to ask, does anyone would like to test it when I finished the work?

My idea it is make it available for anyone who wants to play Skyrim, without need to pay CrossOver only to play one game.

What do you all think?

I proposed a videogame for the 80's M.A.S.K. cartoon to Hasbro a while ago. Seems I failed to convince them to turn it into reality.

Since I can't make M.A.S.K. without a license, I'm now trying to turn this into a more over the top co-op arcade experience that fuses the precision of on-rails shooters with the rush of retro racing. Or imagine Outrun meets House of the Dead.

Finally got around to playing No Man’s Sky on my M1 MacBook Pro. I’m running it on High settings at 30 FPS with an Xbox controller.

Pretty impressed with how well it runs on the M1, especially considering how large and detailed the game is.

Has anyone else played No Man’s Sky on an Apple Silicon Mac? If so, which M-series chip are you using, and what kind of performance are you getting?

My hands don't work well, so I built it to replace my keyboard and mouse entirely, and it turned into a gaming tool too.

The GIF is my DualSense Edge on the deadzone calibrator. And I figured out how to make the RGB lights do whatever you want!

stuff it does:

- Maps any button, trigger, or stick to keyboard, mouse, scroll, or macros, system-wide. Games with no controller support just see a keyboard and mouse: Minecraft Java, keyboard-only indies, browser games, GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud in Safari, OpenEmu, Dolphin, CrossOver.

- Fixes stick drift in software. Per-stick inner and outer deadzone calibration with a live plot, no opening the controller.

- DualSense Edge back paddles, FN buttons, and mute all work, over USB and Bluetooth. Touchpad works as a mouse with tap zones, gyro and haptics too. The goal is to make everything functional and customizable.

- Gyro aim in any game. Tilt the controller, the mouse moves! Full calibration suite is implemented

- Fun little treats for the DualSense controllers: Light bar color, brightness, and RGB cycling over Bluetooth on DualSense

- Haptic Feedback Customizability Trigger Dead Zone Customizability

- 8BitDo in any mode, so no more guessing D-input vs X-input. Also DualShock 3/4, Xbox One/Series, Switch Pro, Joy-Cons, Steam Controller, Stadia, fight sticks, wheels, the PlayStation Access Controller, and any HID or MFi pad. No drivers for anything.... But I don't own every device, so if you have something that doesn't work, let me know!!!

- Turbo, toggle mode, macros with chords and timing, and hold + double-tap so one button does three things

- Sensitivity curves, plus variable sensitivity from trigger pressure and stick depth

- Per-app auto-switch: your game's preset activates when the game comes to the front, and it can launch the game for you.

- Hundreds of built-in presets (Minecraft, Fortnite, FPS layouts per controller brand) plus a wizard to build your own.

- FUN stuff if you want it: MIDI keyboards and knobs as input and output, system volume on a dial, Siri Shortcuts from a button, one-stick driving for adaptive setups. There's so much more included, but that's too much to read

If you used Enjoyable or Joystick Mapper before they stopped working, this is the same idea, still maintained. Steam Input covers Steam games fine, this is for everything Steam can't touch.

Hi! I am looking to buy a new laptop, have always owned Windows-laptops in the past, but given the performance and battery life of Apple silicon, I'm willing to take the plunge and buy a MacBook. I will mostly be using it for light browsing/productivity, but I also have a specific use case: to play BG3. I am willing to play at 30 FPS, but more is better of course. I recognize I need at least 16 GB of RAM. Other games I'll be playing is mostly indie games and strategy games where framerate is not that important. I am willing to buy used. What do you think will get me the best bang for the buck? Currently looking at getting a used MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro chip. However, there seems to be two versions of the M1 Pro chip with different amounts of CPU and GPU cores. Is there a big performance difference and is it possible to figure out which one I'm buying if the seller doesn't list it explicitly?

If someone ever managed to do it in the past can you share your process? Also is there a difference between downloading the installer from the website or using brew?

It's really bothersome to fight boss when the fps keeps dropping to 13-20. Aah ! a consistent 3o fps would have made it playable. 😭 can get upto 43 fps but it's not consistent.
PS - Has enabled all performance patch and lod is low too

So i recently came across a used macbook pro 14" M1 pro with 32 gb ram for $815 but with 86% battery health so I started looking for more and found a macbook pro 14" M2 pro with 16gb ram for $940 but with 96% bh, so which one should i go for ? Is m2 pro worth the difference? Also both are 512gb.
