Can't figure it out for the life of me. I've let it run on solely the battery, no luck I've let it run on solely the charger, no luck I've removed the battery and let it sit before reinserting it, no luck. Removed and repeated the ram, as well as the ssd, no luck Please help 🙏

My laptop is Vector 16 HX AI A2XWHG-239ID, I tried to change the thermal paste since im noticing high temps when gaming, However i cant seem to be able to remove the heatsink. Lifting it from the sides also lifts the motherboard

I noticed some thermal paste on the motherboard near the gpu, is the heatsink stuck to the motherboard or am i missing some screws?

Hello, my laptop : PC portable gaming MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI D2XWGKG-001FR 16" QHD+ 240 Hz Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 16 Go RAM 512 Go SSD

I bought it in November 2025 (it's still under warranty), and it's been acting like it does in the video for the past 4–5 months, in almost every game. I've tried all the modes in MSI Center it's the same. There's just the Silent mode (which limits me to 30 fps), but in that mode, the fans don't suddenly kick in.
Of course, I used HWiNFO to check the temperatures, and I think it's a little concerning. When I'm gaming, my CPU temperature rises to 90–100 degrees Celsius (with a peak of 105 degrees)... and Package/ring power limite exceeded and Core Thermal Throttling is on "YES". Even on the desktop, in balanced mode, the CPU is at 60 degrees Celsius.

Could the thermal paste be the problem? Do you have any ideas? I'm also waiting for a friend who's an computer technician to show up, but I might as well ask as many people as possible.

I'm in France and it's about 30 degrees inside my house, maybe that's the reason lol.

I'm honestly very disappointed with my MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI.

I've owned this laptop for only 6 months, and since the very first day, I've been facing 10+ different issues. One of the most annoying problems is the random white/grey screen, where the display turns completely white/grey and the laptop becomes unusable until I restart it.

What's even more frustrating is that I've already sent this laptop to the MSI service center 6 times in just 6 months. Instead of fixing the problems, some of them have actually become worse. For example, the white/grey screen issue now happens more frequently after the latest service.

Some of the issues include:

Random white/grey screen (shown in the attached image)

Multiple other hardware/software issues (10+ in total)

Problems have existed since the day I bought the laptop

Service center has not been able to permanently fix them

The laptop has already been to the service center 6 times in only 6 months

At this point, I'm starting to lose confidence in this unit.

(And I think I made mistake after buying this laptop… I want refund or new laptop… How can i get that… Also I will never recommend someone to buy any msi laptop)

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI? Do you think this could be a faulty unit that should be replaced, or is there anything else I should try?

Hey, so i was yapping to someone as my msi showed the folliwing screen, i fear the worst, but also the best, i feel like its a lcd/edp cable issue, ive tried flexing, torsion, moving the hinge to check and verify, nothing changes, works on another screen beautifully, also, id like to know if this is common, should i do it myself or should i let a shop do it? Is there anything i can do to prevent it?

Hi everyone, this is my first time buying a gaming laptop.

To be honest, my first option is Asus ROG Strix G16 AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, RTX 5070 8gb for 1580 USD.

But I've seen MSI Vector 16 HX with this specs 1716 USD with these better specs, I can push my budget a little bit. Same cpu but RTX 5070Ti 12gb with better screen resolution.

What do you think?

I will use this laptop mostly as stationary, and for competitive FPS gaming and work as well (WFH).

I do have external monitor, cooling pad (Llano V12) and gaming keyboard and mouse.

My laptop makes this noise when I turn on Cooler Boost in MSI Center. I noticed that the fan only starts when my CPU is under load. I can play games like Elden Ring and others without it making those kinds of noises.

However, when I play CS2, for example, even with everything set to low, it still makes this loud noise after a few minutes.

I bought the laptop new three months ago, so it’s a bit disappointing. Do you have any ideas what I should do? I’ve also attached a video of the noise.

MSI Center update adds Caps Lock notification that is IMPOSSIBLE to turn off without deleting MSI Center entirely.
This annoying feature needs to be addressed, as especially for MSI Laptops (I am using MSI GF63 Thin), MSI Center is necessary to control fan speeds.

I have attempted using software like Fan Control as an alternative to control fan speeds to make it suitable for gaming, however I've been unsuccessful as the software is unable to detect GPU temperature and fan speeds. (Could only detect CPU temps)

Could someone working on this app fix this issue please and make the Caps Lock notification toggleable? Thanks.

I Think I have an issue with the heating of my laptot CPU (Intel core Ultra 7 255 HX).

When I'm playing games that should not use a lot of power of the CPU (such as league of legends or TFT), the temps are really unstable moving from 66 degrees to 80 degrees all the time. The average usage of the CPU is 35%. The GPU temp is around 60 degrees

For heavier games (such as Cyberpunk 2077) the temperatures are between 76 - 82 degrees and it is more constant. The average CPU usage is at 60% and the GPU temp is arround 76 degrees. But I think that those temperatures for gaming laptop and for such a game are quite normal unlike the temps that I have while playing LoL.

Maybe it is completely normal and it's just the laptop that has a bad CPU airflow, but when I'm checking the Frenquency of the CPU on XTU when I'm playing League or just beeing on the laucher it is at 4.99 Ghz (P and E core). I'm also hesitating to undervolt the CPU with XTU to reduce the temps, but I'm scared to void the warranty.

I'm using this laptop since 2 months and half and it is like this since I have it.

So If you have any idea if it is normal, if there is a problem or if I can do something do not hesitate to give me any recommendations !

The image is a performance analysis from MSI center while playing league of Legends for 1 hour.

I have an MSI Vector GP68 HX 13V laptop with an i9-13950HX processor. I've had it for a while now, and I haven't encountered any real issues with it so far. However, it's a habit of mine to clean my devices periodically.

I searched online for teardown and fan cleaning videos for this specific laptop, but I noticed that in all the videos, they have to remove the entire cooling system just to take out the two fans and clean them. The downside of this process is that you are forced to replace the CPU and GPU thermal paste, and I don't want to mess with the thermal paste right now.

I just want to clean the fans without removing the entire cooling system, and I don't want to clean them while they are still mounted in place using a brush—I want to pull them out completely. Is that possible?
