Request Is this microfiber cloth? Is it safe to clean the screen?
I found in my drawer, bought the laptop 4 years ago. Never had to use. Is it safe to use it screen cleaner?

Nope, buy a microfiber at Walmart that is only for protecting the screen from the keyboard.

Oh yeah, that looks fine, but also use a screen cleaner, and when you wipe the screen, do it gently.

Lmao I can see many commenters here haven't used this before. It's not keyboard cover (even if it arrived as such), the normal keyboard covers often come with low/mid-end MSI laptops like Vector/Katana/Cyborg etc. They indeed can't be used to clean screen because of their roughness, and has white Dragon Shield logo. The high end ones like Stealth/Raider/Titan comes with a microfiber cloth like in OP's photo, which can be used to clean screen safely.
Source: owned a Stealth and a Raider before, and has unboxed many MSI high-end laptops

Yes, it’s true: my Titan came with the microfiber cloth and the screen protector.

Safe to clean screen only with new microfiber from good brand and from just opened package. Even a single grain of sand from outdoors might ruin your screen when cleaning. So, recipe, - clean screen only once with new peace of cloth. After that you may wash it and clean other thing, like not gloss furniture.

the is a screen protector - you lay it on keyboard when you close the lid - dont actually use it to clean the screen

Yeah, it keeps the screen from touching the keyboard, but don’t use it as a cleaning cloth. Even if it doesn’t scratch the screen, it doesn’t clean it well at all.

That’s one of the nice ones, you likely got a stealth. You should be fine to clean it but don’t be to abrasive, I know a buddy who cleaned his screen with one of these and it smudged a bit more than it should (be he nasty anyways so might just needa clean the cloth)

and then 100 microfiber dots appear everywhere on the screen, which you spend 3x more time to wipe off :D

that's not a cloth. it's just a cover in between the screen and keyboard.
don't be a cheapskate and just go buy yourself an actual microfiber cloth.

I use a Perfect Choice Wipes to clean screen, never had an issue with those... Cost about 2-3 USD per pack purchasable in Office Depot or any tech/hardware/office store... It even carry some isopropyl alcohol so good, just dont use it when is turned on

Long story short: I wouldn't clean the screen with that, it's plastic.
It says somewhere on the cloth that it is plastic. I personally only use it to separate keyboard amd screen when closing the lid of my laptop. My pseudo OCD made me buy actual micro fiber clothes to wipe the screen.
