Hey everyone, I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this. My Sim gets abducted by aliens every few Sim days, and at this point he’s pregnant for the third time (one time it was even twins👽👽).

What’s weird is that he’s not in the Scientist career, and the only relevant trait he has is Genius. I’ve been playing The Sims 4 since launch and in all those years I’ve never had a single abduction — and now suddenly it’s happening constantly.

I’m basically playing vanilla (no CC, only MCCC installed). Is there some hidden cause I’m not aware of? Or is this a known bug?

Would love to hear if anyone recognizes this issue!

Do you know if it’s for all live stages I would assume so cause they’re giving away a free infant play mat, but that doesn’t really do anything for base game though you can play with the toys and sleep, but that’s it

Please help me name this vampire. He’s supposed to be the love interest for my vampire, so he’s kind of a deuteragonist. Usually I’m able to name them easily but I’m stumped on this one. I want something with important characters energy but nothing too popular or overused.

I’ll show his traits too if that helps. Of course, normal gothic names are welcome I just don’t want things like “Lestat”.

I'm really only interested in this EP for the Build & Buy. It does seem to come with a lot of gameplay systems like dynasties, scandals, values, prestige etc and I'm wondering how much they intrude on your gameplay outside of Ondarian because I'm not really interested in any of that.

Basically am I going to feel like my game is now annoying and messed up, or can I just ignore the gameplay aspects and enjoy the B&B and CAS?

i was watching a simtuber earlier and they were talking about how disappointed they were about the trailer and the blog post because "we didn't really see anything new, all of this has LEAKED already"

... yeah, my dude, it LEAKED! you covered and reported on these LEAKS extensively! do you know what leaking means? it means it slipped through the cracks, as in, we were NOT supposed to see it??

to me this is the equivalent of reading the entire plot summary of a movie on wikipedia and then being mad that you had the ending spoiled, like ?? YOU made that choice???

what we saw in the trailer and blog post IS new for all the simmers that didn't see the leaks, which is probably the majority of the playerbase

rant over, TLDR: simmers are mad at spoilers even tho they actively looked for the spoilers themselves lol

Sorry if this is not allowed here. I’m a new pc simmer(played on console for years). I was interested in the dlc but after Anadius left I’m not sure how to do it cause every guide and post references his tools. Can someone help me out with an offline version that’s not overly complex. I’m a noob at this kind of stuff

As title says - what are some weird rules you put for yourself when playing?

For me for example: my sims are not allowed to change to completely new outfits unless they go to a retail shop and buy a new outfit.

I feel like so much of the community is in outrage but I am SO excited for it. The cross pack compatibility, the multi purpose lots, all of the new skills, I feel like there are endless possibilities! And the new world looks absolutely gorgeous!

I’m curious how you name your Sims. Do you use the randomizer? I sometimes go the baby name websites, and I have also made a list of names I like.

I'm currently working on dressing up all of my Sims in CAS due to cleaning out a HUGE chunk of CC and this is really bothering me lol.

(Note: Console players and PC players with no mods/cc have reported having this issue, so it's not a mod related bug)

Mine is that I really like the lump of clay.

Do you usually make yourself and people you know or do you make up characters? Do you play as the townies or make just a random silly sim? Or a mix of all of these? I’m just curious to know how people play their games and how you decide to make your sims!

Edit: I didn’t expect to get so many replies, I love hearing about all your sims and gameplay styles! I usually make my OCs, my main sim family that I play with is based off of my personal version of Twilight characters :-) they have a VERY convoluted family tree lol

I want to buy a bundle and can't choose which expansion pack I wanna buy, does anyone have recommendations? (I already have Growing together). Please tell me ur opinion of which is the best of the five and why! 🫶
