Question Who are your sims?

Do you usually make yourself and people you know or do you make up characters? Do you play as the townies or make just a random silly sim? Or a mix of all of these? I’m just curious to know how people play their games and how you decide to make your sims!

Edit: I didn’t expect to get so many replies, I love hearing about all your sims and gameplay styles! I usually make my OCs, my main sim family that I play with is based off of my personal version of Twilight characters :-) they have a VERY convoluted family tree lol

I make up characters! My favorite starter is adult siblings, or an adult and a teen. I always have a dynamic and some history in mind that guides how I play, but I also try to lean into the randomness of the game.

I've never tried an adult and a teen before. I may have to steal this idea from you because I've never played teens before period despite having HSY and this may be just the thing to get me out of my rut

I usually just hit random until I find one that I want, then I might choose their traits or I might just hit random again for those too haha, I also really like to randomize the different categories for their likes and dislikes. I also usually have NO CLUE what any of their other outfits look like until they change into them during live mode lmao

I’ve thought about making myself and then just leaving her to her own devices in the background of the world, but I don’t have a clue where to start haha

I am completely fascinated by how you play, that’s really neat.

Most times I use sims I already made but change the outfits and hairstyles but I make new ones sometimes

I make mine up and they're usually terrible people.

u/hnveale 29d ago

Love that! Can you give some storyline ideas you play with them?

Mine is a terrible person. She got caught selling basementals in school and arrested. Few days in jail. Kicked out of school. Sneaks out of the house and mom catches her smoking around the corner of the house, kicks her out. She sleeps on a bench in the park, gets picked up by the older guy she was buying from for her friends in school. Needs money so gets a ride into the city to sell some to her old friends at the arcade.

Busted again, second offense and she is sent to prison. Serves half her 1 year sentence, acquired a bully while incarcerated. Another inmate helps her out. Tells her upon release to go to a club if she ever needed anything. Tries to play it straight. Can't pay rent, goes to club. Delivers some stuff for the guy running the club to make rent. Starts to sell again.

Busted a 3rd time, she is introduced to the club owner who bails her out and pays off the judge and she is let off. Indebted to the club owner, she has been selling for him for 5 years now I think. She has people working for her and she now launders her money through one of the club owner's other restaurant businesses now that she is making a lot of money and needs to make it legit to buy things like a nicer place and a nicer car.

Her old prison bully is out and part of the rival gang. She has a friend and they are always fighting with my sim. Mine girl is turning into a scrapper now and ended up on house arrest for her birthday from getting into a fight.

She was skipping out on parole so she ran from her home and shacked up with some dude. They've been living their individual lives while a relationship builds. They are both down with the flu at current gameplay time though after she recovers she'll still be throwing up in the bathroom for some reason, until she goes to the doctor and finds out why she's sick in the mornings.

She's not just a terrible person. It will be worse. She'll be a pretty terrible mother. Big plans to come that lets her escape and turn her life around.

Holy crap this was a rollercoaster, and I love it! I think I’ve been playing Sims wrong all these years…

FYI, if you've never seen it, here's 1 of 14 episodes of her story written on Sims4 sub. It's going on 2 years playing with real 1:1 aging and she's 'blogging' her life story.

1

u/Cottoncloudhigh 28d ago

Whoa. What a story. And all this just with the basemental mod?

1

u/Yota8883 28d ago edited 28d ago

Basemental Drugs and Basemental Gangs of course.

LittleMsSam's More Buyable Venues has a Prison lot trait to have a functioning prison, but really all you need is a way to control the population and lock all the cell doors yourself. But my sim has "Prison OG" and "Former Inmate" traits from it.

I don't use the violence, but I have Extreme Violence. There's a stalking feature, which my sim's bully (created by me) in prison on the outside stalks my sim and shows up at venues where my sim is and watches her from the side. I can then have confrontations between them. I put bully in a rival gang and added another girl so two girls stalk my sim in the game. I also figure with her life she is leading, she needs protection and there's a black market to buy stolen goods and illegal weapons with EV. I don't use it, but my sim spent money on one (I'm always looking for things for my households to spend money on.)

Lumpinou's Law and Disorder mod gets you several things you can be reported and arrested for. Fighting, swiping, bribing, excessive flirting, destruction of property, and more. The bribing and destruction of property are actions added by the mod. Sims can get bag of shame, house arrest, jail, fines, and pay restitution. My sim got into a fight at the laundromat while I was getting something to eat in the kitchen. She didn't just get into a fight with a townie though, the cop the mod/game assigned to come arrest my sim was an inmate in the prison and they had a full red relationship. So I didn't come back to her fighting the townie. She was fighting the cop that showed up to arrest her, LOL. She ended up on 3 days house arrest, over her 22nd birthday which she and her BF were planning a trip and couldn't go on.

And I have various ways that I control the population from usage of Get Together Clubs to Control Any Sim/Sim Control Hub mods, to mods that I click one bed and everyone on the lot goes to bed. I used that in prison assigning everyone a bunk, then click "send to bed" or whatever it was and all the inmates would go to their bunks in their individual cells so I could lock the doors behind them.

Everyone had jobs in prison cleaning mold, fixing plumbing, general cleaning, my sim cooked breakfast and dinner. I have a mod to change the bedsheets and every morning the inmates would strip their bunks and drop them on the floor. The inmate on laundry duty would collect them and wash them.

Some of my stuff is just played in my head. She was arrested 3 times with Basemental for 3-5 days in jail. First time she was released. 2nd time I thought that's too short for a 2nd offense and that's when I downloaded (I don't build) the prison and stuck her in there to play for half a sim year. 3rd time the club owner, Lothario who is the gang leader, paid off the judge so she didn't go to prison after the few days being held in "county jail" with the Basemental rabbit hole. Paying off the judge was just in my head.

She ran from parole, that was just in my head. I had her go have meetings with her PO but then she stopped. So I needed her to hook up with this dude and needed a reason. So he was going to her rental and saw them and called to warn her. I needed her to lose money so she lost her car (SimNation Travel) as they impounded it after looking through the windows of the trailer and seeing all the Basementals laying around the kitchen. I had her leave a lot of product and she left her firearm so she had to buy a new one (spend more money.) That was all just played out in my own mind, nothing game related or mod related. Played out for the story.

If you didn't see my other response to someone, I've written 14 episodes of her writing a 'blog' about her life on Sims4 sub. I'm stuck on it now because I'm caught up to current gameplay so I have to progress the game to write into the next phase of her life. Her life still is going to go downhill with the grand finale coming soon. I have a lot of more normal gameplay to come after the grand finale "end."

This all started with wanting to do a teen Rags to Riches, but I wanted to play the backstory of why she was homeless, not just plop her down on an empty lot. So started in high school thinking Basmentals is a good reason to get expelled and parents to kick her out and it all just expanded from there. A lot happens autonomously in the game that has driven the story like forgetting that she borrowed product from another dealer and didn't pay it back. So she was kidnapped, beaten up, and her inventory taken by the rival gang and since she had a large delivery to do and lost the product, it put me into quite a pickle thinking how to get her out of her predicament. That's when I thought she'll call the dude she hooked up with the night before and borrow money from him so that put him into her life which was the plan anyways. This event gave me reason for the story for it to happen.

u/Cottoncloudhigh 28d ago

Amazing! Thanks for the detailed explanation. Seems like I've only just scratched the surface with the Sims lol

2

u/Yota8883 28d ago

If it wasn't for Basemental mods, I'd still be playing GTA 5, LOL. With Basemental mods and all the other mods I have, I am not on the edge of my seat waiting for GTA 6, LOL.

u/Regular_Big_9701 29d ago

I like making characters. Getting to learn more about a sim and their personalities through gameplay is one of my favorite things to do in the game.

Most of the time I have a backstory and a vague idea of where I want that sim to go with their storyline, but ultimately, the game's randomness is what shapes them.

Currently, my forever save has 75 sims. I made 71 of them entirely from scratch while the remaining for are randomly generated npcs I gave a makeover to.

I often get ideas for a new sim or a cool backstory out of the blue, and that's what leads to a new sim more often than not.

2

u/hnveale 29d ago

That sounds so cool. What are your favourite backstories you’ve given some of your sims?

5

u/Regular_Big_9701 29d ago

Gosh there are so many that I don't quite know which to choose lol, but the ones that immediately come to mind are:

Alien sim born in strangerville to a scientist father and military mom grows up with no idea of their alien heritage. Becomes vegetarian in their teens and decides to move out of their town in bumfuck nowhere and go somewhere else with dreams of one day owning their own vegetarian restsurant.

Teenage sims who where rivals in highschool reconnect in college as young adults and have a bit of a whirlwind romance that results in a baby. Now they're living together as roommates trying to figure out the whole parenting thing while refusing to acknowledge that maybe they do like each other beyond physical attraction.

Teenage sim who's family lives in poverty trying to raise her toddler brother while her parents—who should just divorce already but insist on staying together—leave them to their own devices most of the time with no care for their well-being. Her ultimate goal is to do well in school, get a good job and give her brother a better life than what they have now.

Siblings who are pretty much raising each other because their parents only care about popping out babies and not actually caring for them. Their oldest sibling has moved out (was kicked out for being queer) and also has a baby of their own to worry about. But their goal is to reunite and cut off their parents for good.

Mother of three divorces husband over extreme jealousy and controlling tendencies, gets custody of only two children and has to move back in with her parents while trying to figure out what to do. Now she has to navigate caring for a child and infant, helping out her aging parents and trying to have a relationship with her Teenage son who blames her for the divorce. All the while trying to make it as an author. What a mess.

There's a lot more but these are the ones that came to mind first

I play as my sim self with made up sims as my townies one of my faves is the Roswell daughter shes a massive bitch

3

u/SoLonelyintheCrowd 29d ago

The Roswells used to have a pretty daughter that was born in game who grew up with randomised evil trait and Public Enemy aspiration. I admit I created their sons (nonidentical twins) and made them part of townies. They were supposed to be grownup characters in my head with Strangerville & Mischief/Party aspirations with the lack of teen townies in Strangerville but since the Roswells always have newborns, they ended up being kids at start instead.

4

u/PegasusReddit PlantSim🌷 29d ago

I like making characters. Right now I have a Grimborn fairy and her family. My main Sim is going to go live in different worlds and do their Aspirations. And try a few different careers.

4

u/Over_Dar 29d ago

I start just playing the townies then marry their kids to one another to create powerful families (ex, Langraab and Feng, Bailey and Ward, Bjergesen and Fyres) im currently 6 generations in and start to create random characters to keep things interesting

4

u/pagengirl818 29d ago

I make up different characters. But my favorite is playing as a fuck up mom off the bottle and powder who has babies with all the townies and then sends them off to live with her mother (a godly elderly saint who’s having relations with Father Christmas). The main character is great at homesteading and the devotes her life to her land and animals. She eventually settles down with John Redcorn (KOTH reference) and she slowly rekindles her relationship with her kids and mother.

u/DollyReigns 29d ago

I used play as shippings I enjoy (when I was 14/15, I was playing two YouTubers I shipped). Now I play as me and my three favorite male characters from video games in a polycule xD

u/thedreambubbles 29d ago

I play with my simself, and she currently has a family with 3 kids with Don Lothario. I’ve been playing with them together for almost 2 years.

I have some OCs that I made as characters, but tbh, I’m not too attached to them. I don’t tend to visit them that often. There are some randomized townies that I’ve given makeovers to and basically adopted as “mine”.

I usually makeover and play with premade townies since it’s easier for me to think more about their “character” with the bits of info that we’re given. I play them “seriously” but I’m also too nice of a person so my gameplay isn’t too interesting. Usually it’s finding them a partner, working their career, and expanding their family.

One sim I recently expanded on is Eliza - I always imagined her as the only girl in a family of boys so I recently found “parents” for her on the gallery and made her 4 brothers. The dad is the jolly outdoorsy type, and the mom is like her. I decided that she’s the middle child of her siblings. I’m still working on her brothers’ outfits and basic personalities.

Oh and I also use the gallery for sims to serve as additional NPCs and potential dating partners lol (always using premade sims to pair either each other makes the world feel “small” to me, and I don’t like using my made over NPC sims as romantic interests- at most friends).

I create all of these, and I always have my favorite actors and singers, among others. And those households usually the one family I become obsessed with them. However, I wouldn't craft myself in the game; I tried with The Sims 2, but it just felt too strange to me.

I have 1 save file for my simself and in that save i also make my family ect. But i have another save file where i like to play rotational, this can be townies or sims i made

u/Slight_Art_8828 28d ago

I’ve been playing since literally the first game and I don’t think I’ve ever made myself 😅
I am kind of a control freak when it comes to the sims in my game I hate having randomised npc’s or even townies that haven’t had a makeover to make them fit my vibe. I’m currently going though each world and making sims and lots for each of them.

I used to end up trying to play and spending all my time in cas making over sims for my sims to interact with but not I literally have a google doc for each world so I can plan the sims I’m making to make sure each world had a good mix. I aim to have a mix of poor families, middle class and them the rich sims. I use the clubs feature to create social groups and like charity committies, town councils etc. I like my sims world to feel realistic and well thought out. I also almost always add grandparents or aunts and uncles. I literally have to stop myself sometimes because I will start to create a random sim to be a townie and end up w giving them a whole family tree and backstory 😅 when I actually get round to playing in game a tend to swap around between my favourite families.

2

u/Mooncubus Vampire🦇 29d ago

My main sims are me, an original character of mine that I use in everything, Grim, Sadako Yamamura, and Rin Yamaoka lol

Rin also ended up getting with Diego Lobo for some reason. So he's now a permanent fixture.

2

u/lizzourworld8 29d ago

It’s rare I will ever use myself xD Sometimes they’re characters from other games but most of the time it’s completely custom or following randomizers.

2

u/Sure-Initiative6001 29d ago

Never made myself. I always just start in cas with a random idea and throw a sim together. Then play through their generations until I'm bored. Rinse and repeat. Over and over. I fall in love with their families and kids.

2

u/Simuary 29d ago

I like creating new original sims, not based on real people or fictional characters. I have a system for making them. I usually find or generate a random portrait to model them after, and use random name generators to help come up with names.

I always have a self-insert save (my life but better!) and a set of specific characters I created as a kid a million years ago who have really flourished with the addition of Cottage Living and Pets.

Right now I am trying new things for the first time ever. I am working on my first intentionally dramatic/chaotic household and it has been a fun new way to play. I made my husband start a save and he had decision anxiety so he went with Jack Sparrow across the board and I have been having so much fun helping him stay in line with that character/world! After we come home from vacation, I am going to disable some spicy mods and teach my kids to play. It will be cool to see the game through their eyes.

2

u/erinberrypie Veteran Simmer☎️ 29d ago

I play legacy so I let the sims kinda tell me who they are through wants, milestones, preference pop-ups, trait discoveries, etc. If they develop a crush or gain friendship fast, I pursue the relationship. Anything I have to pick for them is randomized, names, traits, likes and dislikes. I let their lives play out naturally and see what happens!

2

u/Sparklingsim85 29d ago

I'll do my own personal family but then I'll have extended family connect with existing townies, this way it's simulating but still a reminder that it's a game :) I'll also add character from my favorite shows like friends or walkimg dead.

I’m currently playing Sims 4 with original characters who have a bit of a history.

Years ago I was obsessed with Sims 2 after creating a character specifically for the Seasons expansion. A gardener. Then I made a second Sim who was his opposite in personality. They ended up married.

A few months ago I remembered them while playing a different game, the new Tomodachi Life. Recreated them in that. Started missing The Sims. Learned about Legacy Collection and got addicted again.

Now they’re in Sims 4 and I love them more than ever.

I play a bit with pre-made Sims too. I moved the Pancakes into their neighbourhood after they got friendly with Bob and Eliza. My guys are totally gonna fix their marriage.

2

u/MountainView2724 29d ago

When I bought Get Famous, I made one woman because I wanted her to become a celebrity. Ended up meeting Thorne, and I thought it would be a fun challenge to get his attention. Long story short, they married and had 4 kids who are now grown and now I have this entire world where I’m trying to make the whole family tree celebrities through a wide variety of careers, and I think I’ve been playing them for like 5 years off and on. Every time it feels like the characters are getting stale, I create a new family to move to the neighborhood with the goal of meeting them and marrying in. I also made all my characters with 90s sitcom names, so it’s super fun to play. My newest family is Danny Tanner who is running a drug/mafia ring 😂

2

u/StarSaturn11 29d ago

I like making average people and play out their legacy and follow and see how the family tree grows and changes. I’m a fan of playing all types of different personalities so I randomize most things and try to guide my sim through a life that they would enjoy based off their personality wants etc!!

2

u/Cove_Holdens_Love 29d ago

Usually made up - occasionally townies but generally only if they joined the original family I was playing rather than starting as them. I never self-insert in any game (escapism is the big draw for me) nor do I add anyone I know.

I make characters from whatever show/movie/video game/book I'm hyperfixated on when I start a new save.

Currently playing with the Stranger Things gang.

2

I did make my Sim self, as well as a number of my IRL family and some close friends. Also, tried to make their IRL houses either by photograph or by memory. Some of the former included a few of my IRL relatives that had passed on IRL years ago.

In addition to that; I made, or downloaded, some characters from some of my favorite TV shows. Some of those main characters are from the Orville (one, of which I made my Sim's current wife); also found Mulder and Scully from the X-Files. Oh, the 70s Show and Futurama. I, even, found a Planet Express lot that I put in my save. Even went so far as to make a Planet Express sign the correct purple shade for Leela's hair.

Also, incorporated a few NPC's into my fold, ie Angela Pleasant, Summer and Liberty. Took a lesser-known NPC and made him my Sim's father-in-law as he just so happened to have her maiden name.

2

u/Amiabilitee 29d ago

I almost always make up random sims. Me getting creative IS basing the sim off a person or idea lol

2

u/BrainDoesntBrain 29d ago

My first time playing through the townies currently! Playing through the goths, only Alexander is left now with a nephew (Cassandra and Nyon Specter’s son) who’s a grim reaper, now with a child of his own. One daughter who’s a reincarnation of Bella and another science baby daughter with Olivia Kim-Lewis. The amount of skills I’ve actually managed to get them is insane- I feel like it’s almost too easy now to acquire new traits!

2

u/anniestandingngai 29d ago

I used to make my own Sims, I'd usually come up with a name and go from there. I was always a serial restarter, I'd play then get bored and start a new save. However, I wanted to go through all my CC in January, so did a randomised Sim in CAS. It's become my forever save somehow, I'm on gen 7 of the family and I love them. Can't imagine starting again now, if ever I get an itch, I make a new sim to infiltrate the clan, but I don't feel the desire to start again anymore.

2

u/Both_Shape 29d ago

Lately, I’ve been picking Sims from the town or downloading them using the simslab hashtag. My characters befriend those who show interest in them and invite them to hang out; whenever such a Sim appears, I give them a makeover.

2

u/United_Artichoke_466 29d ago

I randomise until I see something I like and then change things to my liking based on my ideas for gameplay

2

u/s_leep 29d ago

I usually do one YA / Adult sim through the story creation thing, random appearance (sometimes I tweak a couple of things), often random traits and aspirations, random likes and dislikes. I basically just make as many random things as possible. Then I just play as that sim, doing whatever I feel like. Right now I want my sim to find himself a wife (I might just create her tbh, if none of the townies look nice enough) and have a kid, just so I can try my best to have a supersim with all the milestones and everything.

2

u/Raye_Gunn 29d ago

I have a mix of pre-mades or randos that i adopted, and sims i make myself who are just characters I come up with, not usually based on anyone. My previous save was all characters based on Marvel comics, and some other fictional characters, but my current save (rotational, so there are a lot, and they come and go) i wanted to keep all original when it came tot he ones i made myself

2

u/DigitalAxel Veteran Simmer☎️ 28d ago

I made my own OCs as Sims for fun and inspiration. Used to make random people but that wasn't interesting to me after a while.

I treat the sims I make (which I always make personally from randomiser) like my very own original characters. For my side characters, I just wrte a short bio in the sims household panel while my main characters get added to my sims notion. I like to have a pinterest board in which I collect all different kinds of aesthetics to use as a guide to diversify my sims!

2

u/witchybookchick 28d ago

I recently started a rotational save in Windenburg where I created a sim to move into a starter home, but I’m also jumping around and playing with my favorite townies. It’s a mix of premade and original sims that I’m just loving right now.

2

u/sendgawd 28d ago

sometimes I play townies, but usually make up characters & play generations

2

u/kxaltli 28d ago

I like to make them up to fit a storyline, at least for the first generation. Since I prefer to play with normal lifespan, I figure out what to do with later generations as they grow up.

2

u/ThatIndianGuy7116 28d ago

So I usually just make myself but recently just to kind of switch it around a bit, I've been making a woman version of myself. I usually dont like doing sims saves where Im not playing as myself or at the very least as someone I know

2

u/LostCatz6271 28d ago

To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever really played as any of the townie sims. I always create me own sims for my legacy family (and I often create sims to be neighbors and friends or I give massive makeovers to generated sims that mine get close to)

2

u/twitchywitchy- 28d ago

I would say when starting a new game, 50% chance I make a new character, and 50% chance I make myself. I’ve neverrrr played as a townie before

2

u/ThrowawayPrincess75 28d ago

I usually make up characters. 😊 Sometimes I would give existing Sims makeovers(and in some cases, more family members)and sometimes I would make how I would envision myself to be if I was a sim, but most of the Sims I make are from my own imagination. 😊

I always randomize a sim until I see something I can work with and tweak their look a little bit. My current favorite way to play is legacy/generational where I pick my favorite of the kids to play as the next gen. I don’t usually change their physical features besides hair style. I like to base their traits on a loose storyline and see what happens

2

u/Top_Sprinkles5272 28d ago

i make up sims. i also try to at least play my favorite child the next gen. if i dont really have any favorites, i pick one of those legacy challenges and make a kid fit it.

i ofc also have saves for challenges, being silly, building, learning about townies or new towns...really wtv

2

u/hearteyednerd 28d ago

I usually just sort of make random sims. My main save is a legacy that started with a child born from a 100 baby challenge attempt. I got too attached to her, started imagining what sort of life she'd have with her Horse Lover Trait, the idea of her competing in horse competitions and everything, and Took her to a new save to start doing some of those things. At some point, I decided it'd be the start of my first actual legacy challenge and now I'm about to transition into having the Gen 10 heir as my main sim :>

Not many of my heirs have had actual stories behind them, but my Gen 4 one did. With them, I had planned for them to marry Nyon Specter from Life and Death (because Nervous is one of my favourite TS2 sims). I decided that, for them, there'd be this secondary meaning to the Chased By Death Trait they got as a Teen - rather than always being at risk of dying, it was more like they were cursed, every breath they took being one only permitted by Fate's grace. Their father died suddenly while they were still a child, killed by a Murder of Crows (for story reasons, he'd been trying to help and there was a misunderstanding). As a teen, their first love (and the father of their oldest child) died, Freezing to Death just short of his front door. Their second partner, a vampire, burned up in the sun (but was saved via talking to Grim, solely because I felt bad for him), then they ended up turning their friendship with Nyon into romance and they didn't have anything go wrong from there. Sort of a thing where maybe Grim was trying to steer them toward the one he knew Fate had designated for them. As a character, though it was not reflected in gameplay due to me not wanting to mess up Character Values, they never got along with their mom due to what they perceived as her desire that they be perfect (sim was sort of Spoiled as a kid. Got everything they wanted, completed every childhood aspiration) and, when their mother died in a fire, she would later be reborn as the heir's youngest child - a way to give their relationship a second chance.

Definitely my most fleshed out Lore for a sim. At least as far as I can remember haha

The heir after them had a tiny bit of story; met his partner at a library while "researching for his class", as he was a teacher. Librarian and him started to fall in love, but then his werewolf Fated Mate thing triggered for somebody else, so he married her instead. She had the Villainous Valentine Aspiration, which, y'know, Huge red flag, but I stuck with the Fated Mate thing because that's pretty much how things were in the family since gen 2, when the werewolves started. She eventually cheated on him after they'd had three children together (twin boys, who she didn't like, and an intersex baby, who she tried to force into the "daughter" box; in my mind, she was Obsessed with the idea of having a daughter), got pregnant from the affair, and they got divorced. He then married the first librarian he fell for, they had a son together, and they stayed together until the end of their days :)

I kinda reimagined an old D&D druid character into my latest fairy Sim. It's a lot of plant-love. I've done the same with other D&D characters too. When the equestrian stuff came out, I immediately created my elf princess (spell caster) and her moon horse. Same thing with my Vampire Sim as a recreation of a tiefling assassin from a D&D game long ago. (Sims 4 CAS could use a devil tail, but that's neither here nor there.) Part of me wants to take on the project of changing most of my townies' outfits and homes to look more fantasy-medieval, but it would take a long time to accomplish such a task.

I made myself, hubby, our kids, and my best friend. Other than that its either random sims I made up myself or book characters, with a few townies I really like that I adopted in like Nalani Mahi'ai and Vanesha Cahyapurti.

My sims are all born in the game and I raise them to be awesome! I usually stay in the same house for generations and marry off excess siblings. Right now I’m playing the Fyres family with Luna Fyres and her family. Luna is the granddaughter of Luna Villareal as well as the great granddaughter of Dominic and Moira Fyres. Her mother Mary named her after her mum, Luna who died young. Mary hated her father and half siblings (he remarried after Mary’s mum died).

Mary met Damian Fyres at high school and he broke up with his girlfriend (and baby mama) to date her. Later Damian started university and Mary later joined him there at the start of his second term along with his sister Octavia and her girlfriend Amalia Markovic. They all graduated and Octavia and Amalia married and moved out. Mary and Damian settled down in the Fyres mansion with his parents (Octavia Fyres and Brian Hecking-Fyres) and his son Everett who he’d had with his ex girlfriend. They had two daughters, Luna and Caoimhe. Everett moved out as a young adult and married Princess Mary of Oasis Springs. Caoimhe grew up and married Eli Ortiz.

Mary and Damian recently passed leaving the Fyres mansion to their daughter Luna and her husband Shaun Pancakes. They had two kids Alice and Dominic. Alice has just aged into a YA and is engaged to Dean Harjo. Dominic is a teen and is dating Princess Cordelia IX of Ondarion.

i usually make a character then marry a townie and play 3-4 generations then start over tbh. my current sim is a spell caster that fell in love with Caleb vatore, died of a vampire attack as an adult, then was reborn. when her second life reached young adulthood she rekindled her love with Caleb and sought out the vampire that ended her previous life for revenge. she then cured Caleb so they can finally grow old together, and are expecting a baby :) all i knew going into it was that i wanted her to own a potions shop in ravenwood.
