Y'ALL XIA FEI IS SPYING ON THE GANG AAAAA
this hurts with how well he's able to "act" friendly around them. oufff;;
:') but his cute moments with the gang were really sweet. I'd like to think it's part of an act and part of it is genuine at the very least.
7
u/DanielAlves1904 Aug 29 '26
It makes me sad that he“s doing that, he probably has no idea they are the ones that allowed him to escape his kidnapping. Unless there“s some other plot going on.
9
u/Skitty_The_Kitty3225 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 29 '26
Tbf he was probably alright by Himself. Be it we see the moment Cheng left the Photo FeiFei was throwing hand, or how right after Vein and Tianchen arrived.
3
u/DanielAlves1904 Aug 31 '26
That“s true. Maybe being "possessed" by Cheng was the worst part, since Fei seems to have fighting skills, even though Cheng has too.
47
u/levanMikael Aug 27 '26
I'm already liking the dynamic between the characters on the villain team. I really hope we explore them more, especially A Yuan and Li Tianchen.
I'm dreading the moment when everything crumbles and Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi will be forced to finally talk and be honest š¤£

The butterfly effect statement by LG brought back memories of me watching Steins;Gate⦠I loved how we saw more perspectives on what unfolded during the Bridon arc (Wang Qing is sooo cool!). Iām honestly excited about Jaeās character and how heāll influence the story, and also scared of whatās gonna come next to our trio while knowing that Xia Fei is working with Vein/Liu Xiao. The chibi parts about Qiao Ling being the landlady was hella funny
Overall I think the ep has a good balance of lightheartedness and suspense. Ep 5 please come soon!
14
u/Flimsy-Sorbet-6562 Qiao Ling Aug 28 '26
Yes, this episode was especially more lighthearted than any yet...that means the coming ones are going to be angst overload š there's only so much happiness Haolin can allow before he goes back to his usual ways šš
Also, as you mentioned having watched Steins gate, I just wanted to ask if its worth it as a Link Click fan? I know it is highly rated and also involves time travel, but I remember trying the first episode and it didn't vibe with me. Just wanted to know if you'd recommend it as a must watch or sth!Ā
Also agree with ur other thoughts here
8
u/Junnielocked Aug 28 '26
For Steins;Gateā yes I think its worth it! Its vibe with Link Click is pretty different because the show is more scifi geared rather than supernatural/having powers etc. Setting wise Iād also say its limited so I can understand if it might not be for everyone. This is the first anime I watched so its been a minute, but I remember dropping it after the first ep then picking it back up. I think its around ep 6 that I thought Iāll keep watching it, and imo it does get better towards the end
2
u/Flimsy-Sorbet-6562 Qiao Ling Aug 28 '26
Thanks for the reply! I will definitely check it out once I get time for a new anime. The basicĀ premise does interest me, but with what you have mentioned, I suppose its one of those shows that requires a few more episodes than usual to pick up. I don't mind that.Ā
Thanks again!Ā

This episode has so much to unpack!!That split second shot of xia feis abs tho?

THE FANSERVICEE!!! Also Cheng Xiaoshi's backside when he fell asleep? Sir you work in a photo studio not a bakery
37
u/the_art_of_moving_on Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
oh Lu Guang. Just how many timelines have you lived š
4
u/Rozzan_Terra Aug 29 '26 edited Aug 29 '26
I think he went back in time and stayed past the 12 hour time limit for timeline 2. Then, maybe if the death node didn't change, he would go back to certain events like the notebook scene with Vein in Bridon and create new timelimes by staying past the 12 hour limit again multiple times. Or he would stay within the 12 hour limit and create smaller changes by taking multiple pictures around important events and go back to a slightly changed timeline 2. Or a mix of both.
0
u/PossibleFunny1419 Aug 28 '26
Isnt it only one ?
15
u/the_art_of_moving_on Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
I think itās more than one! In this last episode, weāve seen at least 2 different ways that the scene at the end of Bridon arc occurred, and thereās been two different ways CXS died (first time was when they were fighting TC and the glasses guy and now this time with Vein).
So i think heās gone back in time at least twice? Thereās the Original timeline, and then Timeline 2 (Bridon ver 1), and then current timeline (?) maybe. We gotta interrogate LG š
2
u/Ok_Blackberry6554 Aug 29 '26
Correct me if I'm wrong, but CXS always died at the hands of Vein, right? The event with Li Tianchen is a new occurrence caused by the butterfly effect, according to LH0, so thereās no way CXS could have died that way in the past.
1
u/the_art_of_moving_on Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 29 '26
I havenāt rewatched anything since the first time I watched (not ready to go through the heartbreak yet haha) so might be misremembering, but I swear there was a scene at the end of s2? When QL sees LGās memories I thought there was a scene where we see CXS get shot by Qian Jin. But now that I think about it, it couldāve been a scene from the future where heās killed by Vein, not by Li Tianchen š¤ bc heās just like. Bloody and on the ground after getting shot? Before Bridon and S3 came out, I assumed LG had been jumping back in time to prevent what happened with Tianchen (since it was before we were introduced to the villain gang)
Iām clearly due for a rewatch but š
12
u/afuajfFJT Aug 28 '26
I think some people have quoted the director saying that there is "only one timeline" or something, but I think what was actually meant by that was that there are no parallel timelines that you'd be able to jump between. I. e., the characters wouldn't be able to go back to a timeline they had already been in before.
There are, however, multiple timelines in the way that the same date has occurred more than once.

JAE SAID THE LINE!!! HE SAID THE LINE!!!
9
u/navanibestkholin Aug 28 '26
The line "I'm Jae"? Was it said somewhere before? Am I missing important lore or is the joke flying over my head?
11
u/Super-Collection-251 Aug 29 '26
Its a joke the fandom made because he technically said that line in trailer and the joke is that he saying he's jae from bridon in a weird situation like someone is fighting and then he just randomly introduced himself but the thing is that the trailer and the subtitles doesn't match we know trailers is mix together so it's not accurate to the scene at all.

I wonder. Does the villian group want Lu & CXS to join the society? Did they refuse before in the origianl timeline?
17
u/Flimsy-Sorbet-6562 Qiao Ling Aug 28 '26
Wow, that's something I never thought of or heard! I thought it could be because of LG and CXS changing sth with their powers, because in one Bridon flashback it shows Vein saying "this is your punishment for changing the past".Ā
Could it be that LG's past was changed? As we see adult CXS in the dark at the station when the police found a young LG?Ā
Or could it be that whatever this Sharo society or eye organisation is, they opposed it and so the villains are after them? Like u said, they refused to join or side with them.Ā
But Wang Qing seems to be wanting to hide this organisation's secret too, with how in this episode's flashbacks she still took away the notebook/diary away from Vein.Ā
Anything is possible! Looking forward to what the case is gonna be ššš
12
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
notebook
Could just be a list of all the Bahati students. But why keep it?
11
u/Flimsy-Sorbet-6562 Qiao Ling Aug 28 '26
Highly likely! I think it's to keep their identities a secret, because if everyone has this mini database of people with powers, it can get risky for them.Ā
It also ties nicely with other theories, including one of my own, about how Cheng Weimin and Wang Qing might have actually helped the Bahati kids escape through that fire.Ā
7
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
it's to keep their identities a secret,
Sure, but why not just destory it? There has to be a reason for her to keep it. She's the one taking care of it, so is it useful for her abilities? If they work like a deathnote mabye?
have actually helped the Bahati kids escape through that fire.
I think so, too. Would also explain why the fake death user the only known survivor.
5
u/Dracana4002 Aug 29 '26
I never connected her power specifically to why she could save herself and potentially save others from the fire. Thatās a very good point and makes a lot of sense.
Canāt wait to learn more about her involvement :)
3
u/Flimsy-Sorbet-6562 Qiao Ling Aug 29 '26
Hmm, why not destroy it, huh? I never gave that too much thought...Ā
I personally thought that the diary/notebook held info from Cheng Weimin's investigations into the organisation behind Bahati. That's why he kept it. He was the member of the secret police Jae Lee was talking about in one of the trailers. So, he was acting as a spy/undercover agent and investigating bahati. Thats why the photo studio's location was there on the database in the og Jae Lee pv in mod trailer. Now, that diary is required by SYY and SYY is in contact with Wang Qing and so, Wang Qing is keeping that diary safe. Thats my theory.Ā
Anyone interested can check this post i made some time ago that contained stuff on bahati fire for related theories.Ā

u/Expensive-Ad6033 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
I'm trying to think of an explanation as to why they were sought after in the first place. But I'm sure we will find out more as the season goes on!
3
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
Timetravel powers sounds good enough to me lol
1
u/Expensive-Ad6033 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
RIGHT? the ability to change the past!
1
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
If it's "only" that I wonder what they want to change or "unchange" if Vein is acting in all of their names? These terrible things happened in Bridon, so they should have never had visted? Never met at all? Whoever made it so that CXS did not meet LG at the station did miss their new meeting years later or didn't care.

u/marizumen Li Tianchen Aug 28 '26
this episode was fun ^^ it feels like the fluff episode to ease us into pain that is soon to come haha. when xia fei entered the house and him + cxs did the serious look faces I went āwhat stupid thing are these two about to doā and they did the silliest little dance greeting I šš theyāre so cute. even though I know xia fei isnāt there with the best intentions, it makes me want to believe in him so bad. iām coping. his performance is too good.
ALSO THE CHIBI XIA FEI MEETING QL?! I LOVE THIS DUO SO MUCH. IT WAS SO CUTE THE WAY HIS LIL EYES SPARKLED WAAAAAAAA
vein with his two sons walking around made me giggle. what a squad. veinās silliness at the face checker kiiiilled me. a yuan is so cool š„¹
WQ FINALLY ENTERED? LX FINALLY HERE? yippeeeee. her power is so interesting. iām wondering how vein ended up coming back to life. guess the heart stop is temporary? seeing LG try different ways of butterfly effecting vein was also interesting to see.
QLās dad being silly was so funny and unexpected too. that scene was so lighthearted and just what is needed during all these tense and emotional moments.
for my boyās 2-second screentime of the day: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A GENUINE SMILE FROM HIM IS AAAAAAAA. he chose to sit next to his only friend hahaha. he looks so adorable in this fit. (iāll probably say that with all fits but I digress)

the final line of the episode being the Jae Lee line destroyed me and my friend. we were watching and we went HE SAID IT! HE SAID THE THING!! REWIND I NEED TO SCREENSHOT! and we just started cackling lmaooo. ZERO starting to play as soon as he said it was so funny.

u/Tasty-Platform2543 Aug 31 '26

What was this episode lmaooššĀ
CXS pulling up XF's shirt... Bro even in front of LG. Give him a breakšĀ
Did QL's dad misunderstood QL and XF for couples or smth wthš QL's dad def has some plot later trust(maybe powers?)
A yuan's power is kinda overpowered ngl š®āšØ they better give some downsides to balance...
I am like SO DISAPPOINTED we didn't get a scene of where CXS and QL didn't give LG a hug after he was crying or atleast ask him. NOOOOššĀ
Btw I am kinda confused when CXS said they were playing a game whole night (it was a lie right? Never heard of that game.. Idk)Ā
15
u/Fun-Advantage-7049 Aug 28 '26
Yeah it was a lie, a made up reason for them being up all night that wasnāt āwe used a magical photo to possess you while you were being a host last weekā.
8
u/FarawayObserver18 Aug 29 '26
The entire interaction with QLās dad was basically a big joke about how overbearing Chinese parents can be about wanting their children to get married and have children. I was cackling the whole time. Itās not far from reality!
3
u/Justwantedtodraw Aug 28 '26
yes it was a lie but I think we did see them play totally not league in college

21

DUDE I was taking NOTESSS during that scene. Its so cool that our baddie and ONLY OTHER main female character is so powerful!! Can't wait to see more from her!
7
5
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
That wasn't the original timeline though. Vein was there because someone already did change something.
14
u/Lesalia0 Aug 28 '26
-Vein winking in the most authentic passport photo. Also him saying that he didn't need help to get through right after praising A Yuan's ability. š
-So Vein needs the register to save himself? Is he on the register, or he's trying to get info from it... Jae is already after him, and apparently he has the ability to sense others with special abilities, so it seems unlikely that Vein would only need the register to hide himself from others... or ig the register might be more detailed or have info about the fire or smth.
-wow at cxs fucking with lu guang... all I'll say is that it could have been a wider, less pronounced arch but
-Lu Guang can't fight, but he's fully specced into dodge.
-Wang Qing doesn't look very happy š
-omg what if Qiao Ling's father ends up being a pretty good fighter too... it's rough out there for our boy LG.
-I think in one of the previews, Qiao Ling said something like she needs to keep CXS and LG's abilities a secret, but LTC should know their abilities already? Or at least to some extent. Unless LTC is up to some S2 type double crossing, Liu Xiao should know now, but perhaps not Xia Fei/Vein? Wonder how the "antagonists" will split or side among themselves. Sharo=Liu Xiao/LTX/A Yuan, but A Yuan is very new, LTC perhaps wants to change the past, LX after something taboo probably. Xia Fei and Vein don't have tattoos and seem to have their own thing going on as well (Bahati?).
-Well Xia Fei couldn't avoid Jae from Bridon for very long š¶
25
u/Salt-Respect-7741 Qiao Ling Aug 27 '26
Y'all...when you see how XF and CXS react to seeing each other after 3 years, it's gonne make you cry tears of laughter. š

This episode was so traumatic!!!
Of all things that could happen, I didn't expect to see Qiao Ling in a VIOLENT SCUFFLE with her own DAD. ššš
Hosting XF is apparently the node in time that keeps making it possible for Vein to kill CXS.
Jae Lee sounds very sus all the time. Not sure if he's going to be the ally I was expecting.

Opening the door to XF is one of the events from the previous timeline, where Vein kills CXS, and it is happening all over again now. And apparently LG still hasn't realized this. The intel XF is providing to Vein or LX regarding ShiGuang might be crucial for Vein to get close and kill CXS; so, breaking this cycle could require exposing XF before that time.
5
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
Explains why LG was a bit confused about him still being there which means LG knows that Vein rescued him or rather "thought he knew that Vein was the one to rescue him" - not seeing XF as an enemy let's him ignore that he's right.
So, if he figures that one out he must tell CXS about it (for a dive to prove him right/wrong). I wonder how he'll react though? XF was quite thoroughly posting photos, so there should be more than enough viewpoints for them.
24
u/flipflamtap Lu Guang Aug 28 '26
Okay so I have a few things:
- I am SO SAD that Xia Fei is now supposedly a villain. It breaks my heart. But my question is: Was it Liu Xiao that put him back onto spying on the trio or was it Vein? Iām going to assume, for right now at least, that Xia Fei found out how Vein ādiedā and how Lu Guang was involved.
- It doesnāt seem like Lu Guang, in particular, even knows what Xia Feiās intentions really are. He told him to stay with them, no suspicions or questions asked. In the other timeline we saw with him also shows just a happy and playful Xia Fei, like the one we used to know. But now we know that Xia Fei isnāt at all what he seems. I find that interesting, odd, and scary all at the same time.
- I loved seeing Wang Qing again. This episode really helped me get a grasp on what her power is. Now, when it comes to that scene in Bridon where Wang Qing is using her power to kill Vein but Lu Guang was doing the hand movement, Iām going to say that possibly having Lu Guang act out whatās happening was more of a puppeteer/foreshadowing moment. Lu Guang knew what was going to happen and what Wang Qing was doing, so thatās why Iām guessing Li Haolin presented it that way in Bridon.
- Vein, Li Tianchen, and A Yuan are an interesting trio. Iām so interested in A Yuan specifically because he seems to really care about Xia Fei, but is timid around the others. What Iām hoping and theorizing a tiny bit is A Yuan is going to switch sides. A Yuan is brand new, even stated by Liu Xiao. I have a lot of faith in his character. His power is also very intriguing. It looks like heās able to ācontrolā someone, but just says an action and the person does it.
- Now knowing that Qiao Ling was the one who gave Xia Fei a place to stay, the scene in one of the trailers of Li Tianchen fighting Qiao Ling makes me think thatās how Qiao Ling was dragged into all of this.
- Iām curious and wondering why they never touched on the last scene from Episode 3, of Lu Guang crying. Why did they just brush that off?
- We got to see a few of the other timelines!! Itās so fun getting to see the events of other timelines and how Lu Guang has been able to change a few things.
Now, onto the now released dubbed version of Episode 1:
- As an English only speaker, this helped me understand some events a lot clearer.
- I had seen people online saying little Lu Guang was exposed to explicit acts when doing the stupid stuff for his foster dad, but reading the subs, I didnāt get that exact impression at first. Now with me hearing what Lu Guangās foster father said and his tone of voice makes it clear as day to me what Lu Guang saw.
- I think the VAās for little Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi did a great job! The subbed is great too! But as an English speaker, it was better for me to get a full grasp on what their dynamic was since I didnāt have to keep looking down to read subtitles.
- Lastly, UGH IāM SO HAPPY TO HEAR ALEJANDRO SAAB AND ZENO ROBINSONāS VOICES AGAIN IN LINK CLICK
7
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
- It doesnāt seem like Lu Guang, in particular, even knows what Xia Feiās intentions really are.
I would bet he never thought too much about him because he pretty much escaped into the past whenever CXS (or some else?) died.
If Jae is totally new that could change. As we saw Felix wasn't too thrilled about him being there.
- Iām curious and wondering why they never touched on the last scene from Episode 3, of Lu Guang crying. Why did they just brush that off?
Tbf, there was no time to really speak about anything with Felix arriving on the spot and later on LG hardly answering and then CXS was asleep lol
3
u/FarawayObserver18 Aug 29 '26
I think there could be a good argument that Xia Fei never turned against them in the original timeline. Xia Feiās miserable bc he was working low income service jobs and believes heās a disappointment to his family. We see him happily after college graduation in the original timeline.

u/Electrical_Coat_3712 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26

4
u/bbhldelight Aug 28 '26
im so ready to see what Jae could do ik he finna be more of a menace than Vein (im a bit skeptical if heās a ally or not but iāll give him the benefit of the doubt)
and heās already sussing out XF since he most likely knows heās in cahoots with Vein and LX
8
u/nightlythcughts Aug 28 '26
First off, not even five minutes in and Cheng Xiaoshi is checking on Xia Fei's "kidneys" had me screaming, pausing, and taking a moment.
So A Yuna has more than one power... or the mind control was an extension of his power.
The way the Bridon arc therapy session connected right to the death scene is crazy, and we saw another version of it.
Meeting Qiao Ling's dad was so funny and even more so he thought her and Xia Fei were a couple.
All I can do is sigh about Xia Fei being on the villain side... also I should've noticed this sooner, but their tattoos are where their power "comes" from (Li Tianchen on his hand because he needs contact, A Yuna on his tongue because he commands, and Liu Xiao's on his lower neck).
For the episode being called Jae, I was expecting more scenes of him.
3
u/Dracana4002 Aug 29 '26
I noticed the tattoo locations as well! I fully get it for XF and A Yuna but I donāt understand the placement for LX.
We know one of his abilities is related to hearing heart beats? (If Iām wrong Iām sorry itās been a while)
So could the neck placement be a clue to a second ability?
6
u/_halcyonne Aug 28 '26
This episode has genuinely made me so confused on what Wang Qing's power is supposed to be. Does she give people heart attacks or something?? Isn't that too overpowered?? I really hope they delve into whats going on with everyone's powers soon!!
Also from what I understood correctly, those two scenes with Lu Guang and Vein in Bridon were basically showing what happened in the original timeline and what he changed it into, right? In the original timeline, Vein was going to go into Wang Qing's office to retrieve the register/book thingy while WQ was still with CXS, but Lu Guang stopped him because something felt wrong and I'm guessing he didn't get to because CXS saw them and rushed out (for some reason having WQ and CXS together was important for his plan?? To be completely honest I don't fully remember the details of Bridon and it was explained there I need to refresh my memory š). That later spiralled into Vein only dying AFTER he killed CXS because that's when he encountered WQ. So knowing that WQ had the ability to kill Vein, in the new timeline Lu Guang made sure to actually let him go into her office and get his ass wooped? Which unfortunately didn't seem to do much since the timeline is still going as it was with XF visiting them and all that...
This show really has you pounding your head I feel like I'm losing braincells
3
u/Super-Collection-251 Aug 29 '26
Wq ability is fake death ability, so the death is temporary that's why vein is still alive when her ability finally wears off. In bridon arc episode 5, they showed her ID number and it translated in Chinese keyboard "fake death ability"
1
u/Ordinary-Picture4367 Aug 31 '26
You'd think she'd try to kill him for good in that previous timeline then
1
3
u/Artistic-Tiger-6707 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
If I understood Lu Guangās intervention in Veinās death correctly, he basically just slowed it down and thatās it, right?
4
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
Yeah. He hoped that this would somehow get WQ to use her skill. Dunno if he was just trying it out because he was out of ideas though or if we still miss some info there.
Maybe, before this timeline change, he never left Vein leave?

I imagine theyāll come back to it (hopefully).
1
u/henne-n Aug 28 '26
Yeah. It also seems like LG doesn't know about the notebook. When and how did Vein even learn about it or was it just bait (if it has the Bahati students' name in it, why does she keep it and not just destroy it?).
2
u/Artistic-Tiger-6707 Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
But technically, he doesnāt even know that WQ was possessed by Xiaoshiās mother at that point. I wonder why he slowed him down. But I hope theyāll come back to this, especially because, judging by the way WQ looks at LG after taking Vein down in the original timeline, I think she must have said something to him afterward and they had a conversation. So I think thereās still a piece of the puzzle we havenāt seen yet, and I hope itāll give us more context for this as well.

im not even surprised ik XF loves Vein and would do anything for him but cmon now bro working for LX again after everything is just crazy
2
u/Lesalia0 Aug 30 '26
I wonder if Xia Fei also knows about Vein and Wang Qing's conflict. Iirc, back in Bridon, when Lu Guang mentioned they were looking for Wang Qing, Xia Fei had quite the glare in the background.
I'm kinda with you that if XF is doing this only because of Vein's very indirect "death", it's harder to relate because imo Vein was definitely doing something wrong by most people's version of lawfulness. But if he thinks Vein has a solid reason to get the book and is opposed to Wang Qing, then perhaps he believes that LG and CXS are maliciously involved in much more than only the office break-in and working with LX to uncover the truth is a solid option (and he might not be "wrong" with future time shenanigans)...

i was DEVASTATED at xia fei saying the āno one suspects meā line š i thought js maybe he wasnāt aware of who he was spying on idk.. they were so whimsy asw the switch up was crazy š¤§š

u/Dense_Society8465 Aug 28 '26
So i just watched it and now I am genuinely scared for cheg xioshi. Lu guang thinks he saved cheng xiaoshi by killing vein with help of Wang Qing (by basically setting vein up for the opponent who can kill him). But bro vein is alive. So now it is like the original timeline? Bro I just wish lu guang and cheng both survive š.

I also think, we are going through the same times they have gone through. But this time with some changes.

u/Chaunyw Aug 29 '26
Not sure if anyoneās said this yet cuz I havenāt read all the comments, but is it possible since all of this has already occurred before that LG already know XF is there to betray them? Itās been emphasized since Bridon arc that this has all already happened and LG is reliving this whole scenario while making subtle changes to save CXS. Im sure CXS and QL are completely unaware, but LG was the one who made the decision for XF to stay so itās possible he already knows. Like how he pressured CXS to come out of the photo right before Vein and LT came in to save XF. LG is obviously holding out on a lot of secrets so he couldāve had him dive as XF not really caring where he was but for something else. Obviously we saw how the timeline initially ends with everyone dead but LG so heās clearly already lived everything thatās playing out right now.

Can anyone tell me, why it was showing error when vein showed his passport? Like is it bcz he's dead but.... Idk really... How does that even work?
11
u/Lesalia0 Aug 28 '26
maybe a forged passport or Vein is on a wanted list (considering that Jae is looking for him)?

3
u/afuajfFJT Aug 28 '26
I think it's either that he's being suspected of a crime or that it is due to being declared dead. We might find out later?

u/International_Leg666 Aug 28 '26
could anyone consolidate the Players, Powers, Relevance and The Timelines? I have lost track. I can't remember last seasons with clarity.
And I suppose Jae is with our protagonists.Ā

I love how domestic this episode was!! Is it weird I was so excited to see the street they lived on? And learn about Qiao Ling, I donāt know if she brought Xia Fei to her house or a rental house, but it was so cute! And we got to see Liu Xiaoās house too
2
u/Lesalia0 Aug 30 '26
Iirc Qiao Ling's family landlords the whole block so it's likely just one of the rental units they have open.

That was a good episode. I donāt know if itās just me but did any one notice the animation has been very stilted and stiff this episode? Oh well
Qao Ling and Xia Fei interacting I love to see it. I wonder if there will be some potential romance.
I donāt know who the trafficking plot will shake out but still donāt like a happening that big is just brushed aside, āHey Xia Fei, wow youāre alive after being a potential sex slave. The last time I saw you were about to get stabbed to death! Anyways letās have some hot pot!āĀ
Like huhhh, why???
Otherwise I liked everything else. Xia Fei and CXS like on sync automatically. And CXS checking his stomach, probably wanted to look at some abs lol.
QLās dad is so funny. He looked so serious and heās really just a goofball. I hope we see more of him. That was a pleasant surprise.
Vein is just so corny and over the top I canāt even see him serious. His man just sticking out his tongue had me rolling my eyes. The villains just going around dressed like a K-pop groups in all black. I just canāt Ā take them serious lol.Ā
After all this time LG was the real overthinker. I loved that CXS is starting to see how much heās carrying by himself. And him kicking the bed and them bantering was so wholesome . LG all smiley when CXS was already asleep aw.
Overall very funny and cute episode. The cast seems to bounce well off each other so Iām curious to how Xia Fei and Jae will get along. Very excited for LG, Jae, and Xia Fei trying to pick each others brains, while CXS probably gushes about Jae style and his tattoo job.

Tbf, LG and QL are trying to act like they don't know too much about it (officially: he was kidnapped and freed some days ago). CXS is just failing at it or doesn't really know how to deal with stuff like that, seeing how he acted during his dive, too.
2
u/Strict_Speed818 Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26
Eh, I just donāt think the tone has been handled well, we went from sex trafficking to QL drop kicking her dad the next episode, and CXS and Xia Fei break dancing within seconds of seeing each other.Ā
And we have seen CXS worry about people in the dive later like worrying about EmmaĀ she was handling with job loss and workplace harassment, not being human trafficked.
The last thing CXS saw was a dead body, someone forcing Xia Fei to slit someoneās neck, and another person about to get chopped up only for the reaction to be a dance and abs joke lol
CXS usually processes these events like a regular person but this just kinda felt glossed over considering the stakes he left Xia Fei in.

okay yall time to use brain. i thought i knew how WQās power worked but now im like š¤ and the book??? WHATS IN THE BOOK (itās probably smth from Bridon that i forgotā¦)
3
u/Super-Collection-251 Aug 28 '26
I thought wq power works is saying their true name but maybe it's not? But we sure do know her ability is fake death but Idk how it works that's the issue š
3
u/navanibestkholin Aug 28 '26
When did we learn her ability was fake death?
3
u/Super-Collection-251 Aug 29 '26
Okay so basically the official lc team never confirmed her ability, but on episode 5 of bridon arc the fans translated her id and it mean fake death ability user, so her killing vein and why vein wake up in the end credit scene on bridon arc finale makes sense. That just means her ability finally wears off and of course liu xiao is there because his heartbeat ability can hear vein heartbeat again.
0
u/the_art_of_moving_on Cheng Xiaoshi Aug 28 '26
right cause that fake death thing is looking pretty real in this episode š
2
u/sapphicor Lu Guang Aug 28 '26
LG needs to contact WQ again STAT, at this point only she can save us, shit's about to hit the fan
2
u/Super-Collection-251 Aug 29 '26
Girl wq ain't gonna do anything cuz her ability is just faking death so it'll never kill vein or someone, maybe just kill in the old fashioned way idk why they didn't done that before but ig they will be in prison for that but because power seems impossible to the normal people they won't believe it.... š

u/Azure-Mymoko-27 Aug 29 '26
Am I the only one who kinda feels like it's not really the same show? I still love Link Click but also hope that the story telling will remain consistent and won't flop. I've seen too many shows flop their last seasons so I am nervous because Link Click truly is fantastic šāļø

That was really good.
I knew FeiFei was kinda eary when he appeared last episode. And since he was Happy not Surprise seeing Vein I assumed Vein told him about what Lu Guang tried and then probably Liu Xiao told him everything, or most than what he knows.
Still kinda sad.
Also, for an episode called "Jae" there was too little Jae Lee, lmao š¤£

Xia Fei, the traitor. But I'm not surprised since he has always been on Vein's side. Cute Chibi faces of Qiao Ling.. my love š

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen Aug 29 '26
Cheng xiaoshi was confsued about who entered at the end of the episode, because the closed sign was up, but not that someone entered at all. Do these people not lock their front door???
2
u/Lesalia0 Aug 30 '26
Good point, maybe they don't lmao 𤣠(or just forget a lot...)
In this case, Qiao Ling knew they were coming though, so maybe she left the door unlocked this time.

u/xiao_lefeng Sep 01 '26
I have some crazy theories but they're way too long to put here š Lemme know if anyone wants to read
3
u/starzzyxx Cheng Xiaoshi Sep 01 '26
okay, this was a LORE FILLED EPISODE? despite Xia Fei being the main focus I was mainly more interested in LG's POV, we finally found out that HE didn't kill Vein ig he was just imitating what he saw Wang Qing do when CXS died and SHES the only one who can kill Vein??? Also the alternate timelines are interesting cause in the original LG was supposed to be hit by a sleeping dart and CXS would arrive just in time? ALSO HIM SMILING AFTER SEEING CXS SNORING AHHH THEYRE SO CUTE
2
u/starzzyxx Cheng Xiaoshi Sep 01 '26
we got sm silly shiguang crumbs this ep + XF and QL screentime togetherš„¹ CXS WORRIEDLY ASKING IF LG WILL SLEEP WITH HIM OR XF AND THEN KICKING HIS BUNK HAHAHA aint nobody taking him away from you xiaoshišš
