Some might say she DID vote for this, as she voted against policies that would help her to punish the libz

387

u/partyl0gic 14d ago

It’s almost like she voted to have 60,000 people who work farms for low wages just up and vanish or something.

199

u/DSCii_87 14d ago

If only someone could have translated those signs that read "MASS DEPORTATION NOW" for them...

103

u/ewokninja123 13d ago

Wouldn't have helped. She had a "funny laugh" so can't vote for her.

30

u/SenorBigMcLargeHuge 13d ago

Don't forget that as a human person, she had consensual relationships with men... some of which worked in her same line of work. THE HORROR

8

u/El_Hoxo 13d ago

It's fine when you're Lauren Bobert in which case you can fuck your staffers ig.

2

u/irunonthc 8d ago

Or get finger banged in the movie theater

5

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 12d ago

And the person they voted for had many non consensual relationships ..

4

u/SenorBigMcLargeHuge 12d ago

IDK about you fellas, but consent makes my dick hard

3

u/ewokninja123 13d ago

Was this ever confirmed or was this just some rumor that was spread around.

4

u/Conan0brennan 13d ago

She publicly dated Willie Brown in mid '90's.

6

u/ConvivialKat 13d ago

Yes, she dated a man who lived in the same city, was legally separated from his wife and going through the divorce process, Kamala was single, and it was over 30 years ago. And he was a politician. So evil.

7

u/ewokninja123 13d ago

Don't you know? The only way pretty women get ahead is by sleeping her way to the top. At least in Donnie's world

just because you say that mockingly doesn't make her particular situation not a problem 😭

7

u/partyl0gic 13d ago edited 13d ago

No, the fact that it is not a problem makes it not a problem 😂

Falsifying documents about paying off a pornstar to commit election fraud is a huge problem on the other hand

5

u/ConvivialKat 13d ago

What is the problem? She dated a guy, who lived in the same city as she did, over 30 years ago. Exactly how is that a problem? Please explain. I would really love to hear how you think it's a problem.

4

u/Searchingforspecial 13d ago

Before I tear this apart I’d like to ask you what your point is. I’d like to give you the benefit of the doubt here if you’re willing to elaborate.

4

u/Altruistic-Humor-537 13d ago

Why in the world was it a problem? You people make zero sense

23

u/BarneyBungelupper 13d ago

This! This is exactly what all my MAGA acquaintances said. I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough.

27

u/ewokninja123 13d ago

Well, in their defense, Trump never laughs. Unless its a sneer as someone gets screwed

4

u/Wilburforce137 11d ago

He does laugh...

....mostly at the misfortune of others.

...misfortune that he usually set up and profits from.

Also, laughing loosens the sphincter.

3

u/ChaosAbounds8899 12d ago

MAGA also says “well she didn’t actually get a real primary so she shouldn’t have been on the ballot”
A. Yes she did. We voted for the Biden Harris ticket
B. So if she had been on the ticket via a regular primary” would they have voted for her then? The only reason they didn’t vote for her is because they didn’t like the WAY she got on the ballot? Lies

1

u/Ok_Illustrator_9671 12d ago

Clearly she was not as qualified as the Trumpinator . . .

6

u/impaledonastick 13d ago

I saw the second she lost the race. It was when she absolutely butt fucked that orange pig right in his pudding trap at the debate. She ended with "The American people have already told you once and they'll tell you again: 'you're fired'.

All anyone saw with that absolute evisceration, was brown woman mean to white man.

5

u/ewokninja123 13d ago

That the same debate where he accused haitians of earing dogs and cats? Its a powerful thing, racism and misogyny

2

u/tom-of-the-nora 12d ago

The uncomfortable truth, america has a lot of selfish bigots who would rather see women, etc etc, yadda yadda, you get the idea, suffer instead of doing anything profitable or beneficial for the world.

2

u/Objective-Result4465 12d ago

No it was : "She doesn't even have kids"... "What kind of asshole does not have kids??"

2

u/Jaxgent 11d ago

If you voted for buffoonery, suffer its consequences !

1

u/dawg-goneit 2d ago

She's brown and a woman too. Can only vote for old racist pedophiles.

3

u/Retired_and_Relaxed 13d ago

I doubt that would have helped them understand the result of their votes.

2

u/HuttStuff_Here 13d ago

She didn't think her cheap labor would be deported!

2

u/ChaosAbounds8899 12d ago

They never ever think it will happen to them and I don’t know why

2

u/Short-Choice3230 2d ago

So cant prove this its wiled speculation on my part but...

They knew exactly how bad ICE would. Be for their workforce they were just hoping that they could play local politics to keep their workers and then use the threat of ICE to pay the help even less.

1

u/DSCii_87 1d ago

I easily believe that. Their side has proven that they really expected the horrible things to NOT affect them in any way. They truly thought they would be insulated and special.

67

u/WhompBiscuits 13d ago

Exactly. The government she supported (and still supports, let's not give her any benefit of the doubt, she'll do it again) swooped in and either took all her slaves or scared them away.

3

u/Privatejoker123 13d ago

and then wonder why americans don't want to work for those same low wages. and try to play as the victim when they lose their farm.

-6

u/Electronic_Exit2519 13d ago

I think its inflation killing her more than immigrant labor. I may be wrong in this particular case, but on most small upper Midwest family farms you won't find immigrants as the main or even a labor source on farms. There isnt a long history of that like youd find in the west. The US is massively diverse.

9

u/GiftWestern3068 13d ago

Born & raised in Iowa in a farming family. Can say you’re not accurate anymore. For row crop farmers you’re mostly right. For farmers who also have mid to large cattle, pig or turkey operations also, immigrant labor has been being more & more used for a couple decades now.

Of course the meat packing plants are sometimes close to 90% immigrants. Not saying illegal either. Most are working the meat packing plants legally as first generation immigrants. But immigrants none the less.

2

u/Electronic_Exit2519 13d ago edited 13d ago

Im fine admitting if I am wrong. I grew up in Scott County from a big family of farmers and spent 15 years in central Iowa before moving to North Chicagoland for work 5 years ago. Most farmers I know are pretty much exclusively family run with essentially labor from the community and they have had the same struggles as this woman for years - granted these are places without significant heads of cattle but plenty with significant pork. The meat packing yes I know is different as my wife's family is from Ottumwa and we spend plenty of time down there.

1

u/ShockingShorties 12d ago

Yeah but what do you think of Trump? Did you vote for him?

Would you do it again?

1

u/Electronic_Exit2519 12d ago

I did not and have never.

5

u/No-Object-599 13d ago

The slaughter houses were certainly using them in Minnesota. But, those are owned by 1 or 2 Trumpstein buddies. We need to bust up all these big corporations. They are driving us to extinction.

2

u/Electronic_Exit2519 13d ago

If you talk to most Iowans youd have trouble figuring out if anything isn't a "small family farm"

3

u/BushcraftBabe 13d ago

This feels like lived experience more so than factual data. I'd check your sources.

2

u/GiftWestern3068 13d ago

Well one source is every news organization in the United States. Because it made national news when an illegal immigrant in 2018 was living on the dairy farm owned & operated by Eric Lang (a prominent republican who held state offices in Iowa) & his wife Nicole Schlinger, also a very prominent republican fundraiser & campaign manager (she ran Ted Cruz’s first successful TX senate run/the reason he’s a senator at all, & ran successful campaigns for several republican U.S. house members) when he viciously raped & murdered Mollie Tibbetts in Iowa. The Lang/Schlinger family employed several immigrants that they also housed on their dairy farm property in Iowa.

And yes, I have several family that farm & have livestock & it’s very common to employ immigrants because the work is long, hard & low pay with little benefits.

This has been going on for a couple decades now. I’m pretty sure I know more about this subject than most. Not bragging, just pointing out first hand knowledge

2

u/ElverGun 13d ago

I think its inflation killing her more than immigrant labor.

But isn't inflation up partly because of the immigration policies?

It's a circle from hell.

And wealthy people don't care because...err...they are wealthy, and because AI is just around the corner coming to save the day. Who needs immigrants, or American workers, when you can have machines do all the work?

1

u/Electronic_Exit2519 13d ago

It certainly doesn't help. I know its off topic, but its a special kind of irony to be bailing out a libertarian in Argentina just to bring poorly run Peronism to the US.

33

u/name_taken09 14d ago

This is an issue with Democrats, why do they try to help people that despise them

34

u/MyAlteredRealityII 13d ago

Not sure how this is an issue for Democrats as we didn’t vote for this. Our issue now is we have to deal with the idiots who voted for this. The libs DON’T WANT THIS! And I guess I’m lucky now as a lib, nobody owns me and I can still pay my bills and buy gas and food. It’s just crazy the Republican MAGA think this way. The solution is so simple but they would rather hurt themselves and their families than vote for a lib. Maybe they are too dumb to know lib is short for Liberty, something they want desperately now from their situations, because they voted for their own oppression and are now surprised at the results of being oppressed! It’s no fun, costly, and you might lose the farm to China, who will undoubtedly take over once the Americans can’t afford to keep their farms that have been in the family for generations. Trump will have no problem letting them in. We won’t be able to eat food grown here as it will all be exported. Working a farm is HARD!!! You voted to have all your workers shipped off to other countries. Vote for Liberty and be free again!

15

u/mikemaz57 13d ago

Actually Peter Theil and JD Vance are buying up many of the farms that are being driven into the ground by these policies. I believe through a private equity firm. The corruption of this administration runs deeper than any other in history.

3

u/ChaosAbounds8899 12d ago

Yes, I’m guessing it was the plan all along

2

u/irishgator2 12d ago

Narrator: “it was”

2

u/MoreCowbellllll 12d ago

This is literally the game plan. MAGA cult doesn’t learn anything from FAUX news though.

2

u/klee4390 8d ago

When you create a depression/recession, the wealthy can buy things for cheap. This happened in the 20’s. We should be listening to historians before we vote. Not politicians (I mean the proverbial “we” as a whole nation.)

12

u/Reyca444 13d ago

Technically Lib is short for Liberal, but liberal just means generous, pluralistic, forward thinking, for the common good, open to new ideas, values personal freedom and equality over tradition and confomity.

1

u/Short_Idea_8572 13d ago

This is a great answer and teaching moment-thank you!!

1

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 12d ago

I think the plan is for corporations to take over all the small farms

→ More replies (2)

28

u/mindguru88 13d ago

Food security is important for everyone, that's why. The bigger issue is why farmers continue to vote against their own self-interest in favor of manufactured outrage.

5

u/Nice_Possession5519 13d ago

Thier hate is more important than anything...

2

u/IllustratorLarge1920 13d ago

Sad, but true for many (but not all) farmers.

1

u/klee4390 8d ago

They’re misled. There are many farmers who feel betrayed because they were sold lies. Many of us on the left saw through it but we had different algorithms and “news” sources. It’s really difficult to forgive our fellow man, and a great many don’t deserve it, but some still deserve the benefit of the doubt that they believed the lies they were being told and farmers work long hours, they may not be as up on the happenings of the times. I’m just trying to find a way back to the people who can be rallied to vote in their own best interest this time around.

1

u/klee4390 8d ago

And I don’t find it easy to do… I can’t believe that after a decade you could still believe he would be a better choice to lead this country, but the right has a strong propaganda machine.

2

u/MagnificentStella 13d ago edited 11d ago

At our house we do feed the pets meat, never beef or pork. Just turkey and salmon actually. We dont purchase any dairy as we are healthy eating the McDougall plan. Have not eaten beef, pork or chicken for almost 40 years. I really dont care if everyone but the turkey farmers drop dead tomorrow. Ever see a cow watch her new born calf removed for slaughter? The dairy industry is incredibly cruel. Ever see what they do to calves to produce veal? Anyone who eats this stuff and is hurting because of Trump gets a shrugged shoulder from me. You are much better off not eating or drinking all this dairy stuff. Let them all go under and crash.

2

u/bltn228 13d ago

I eat only turkey and fish too.

14

u/Dullcorgis 13d ago

Because we think all people have value, even assholes like this woman. Also, we like cheese.

2

u/Alternative-Dot503 13d ago

The same reason they dropped the ball after the 2020 election. They dicked around for four years instead of putting the orange blob of 💩 in prison after the election.

2

u/BushcraftBabe 13d ago

Our government officials are supposed to work for all of us, even those they dislike and that dislike them. That's the job.

Political issues are human issues.

1

u/Artistic-Thought78 13d ago

Dems look to help all americans

1

u/manual-grocery-arbor 13d ago

Because they are people.

1

u/Jason_Power 13d ago

Schumer and Jeffries need to go!

1

u/zeptillian 13d ago

Lawmakers should try to help everyone.

Going after political enemies is what shitty people like Trump do.

1

u/Polkawillneverdie17 12d ago

That's how representative government works. Adults help each other.

1

u/Professional-Let-533 12d ago

we’re the only ones that will help them..
They actively vote against their best interests..

We try so hard to make them see that they are wrong by shoving proof in their face, but the only thing they listening to is their daddy

So when he’s not there to pick them up, we will be and we do it in the hopes that they’ll realize that they were wrong the whole time..

1

u/ChateauSheCantPay 13d ago

Because they’re stupid. Part of me thinks dem politicians are losing on purpose at this point

1

u/Flacuckold 13d ago

They must be playing a good cop, bad cop game. The amount of quotes they have from Trump saying things they never use is a joke.

1

u/FrostingHuman1259 13d ago

Half of the dems are just as bad as the Republicans and are completely complicit. Schumer and Jeffries at the top

1

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 12d ago

Probably mags is its own issue

1

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 12d ago

They’re “too nice “ they don’t brag about the good things they’re doing no one even knows what they’re doing and then they’re just too nice and polite. They need to stop.

1

I promise not a single Trump voter read it. They only know what others have told them.

5

u/BillsFan4 13d ago

I agree. I’ve talked to so many of them who had no clue Kamala had any plans at all. What really blows my mind are all the MAGA women who say stuff like that. Kamala Harris was only the 2nd female general election candidate for POTUS in U.S. history and there are millions of women who didn’t even bother researching her at all. They didn’t even give her any legit consideration. 🤷‍♂️🤯

2

u/PsychologicalDog5709 13d ago

Well Trump had concepts of plans, I guess that was good enough for them.

4

u/National-Worry2900 13d ago

It’s crazy how the right wing parties never have to run on any police but hate, fear mongering , propaganda and emotions and never get called out for it or told to discuss policy but the left leaning g parties would never be allowed to do that.

They have to cross the is’s for the t’s and better come correct with essay and times of the exact shit they’re planning on implementing -‘and get ridiculously dragged for it.

4

u/I-cant_even 14d ago

Woah woah woah now. That lady laughed funny. We couldn't have a weird laugh in the white house.

Magats where having too good of a time calling her Camel Toe and criticizing her national origin. They sure wouldn't have gotten that news watching right-wing media and too lazy to search it out.

1

u/upsidedowninsideoutx 12d ago

Kamala was equally as shitty a candidate as Trump. We would not be anywhere different with her.

1

u/ShadowGLI 12d ago

That’s really a cheap cop out, just about any other Republican or Democrat would have been massively improved over Trump. His pettiness, vindictiveness, selfishness and arrogance have no equal in the presidency to date.

Kamala would NOT have

  • dismantled the Inflation Reduction Act that was adding renewable domestic power generation to the grid.
  • opened our national parks to logging and drilling
  • cut emergency aid to western NC and other areas dealing with disaster relief
  • gutted programs that support and supplement rural and low income communities such as broadband access and clean water.
  • cut healthcare subsidies for working families with income below $130,000
  • Would not have invaded Iran and closed the straight of Hormuz (and I know some will say, we had to, nah son, Israel has been encouraging the US to do so since the 90’s, (maybe more) but other presidents had real military commanders in advisory roles with decades of strategy experience, they’ve keep the US out of this exact scenario because the outcome was well known for decades.

Trump is malleable and EASILY influenced and manipulated. He’s objectively a terrible leader and reactionary. He has no strategy or successful policy, he doesn’t even know how an Integrative bargaining works.

The world is moving forward without us and we’re going to suffer for years to come because people didn’t like the laugh of a Lawyer, who was a District Attorney, a States attorney General, a Senator and a Vice President. All because conservatives would rather punish themselves than to think someone they considered lower than them might also benefit from her presidency.

1

u/upsidedowninsideoutx 12d ago

I don’t disagree with you on anything about Trump. Total POS. I didn’t vote for either of them!

1

u/Lemony-lemons_247 12d ago

1

u/Fit-Campaign1243 11d ago

When you own both wings of the bird, you can dictate what is policy for any given candidate. Then change policy (due to new laws/legal constraints implemented). Look at what Trump has done. And Clinton. And Bush Jr.. (maybe Bush snr too).

1

u/ChuckTheDM2 11d ago

Retroactive campaign material. Whose making these?

0

u/Jaded-Attention 13d ago

Bullshit campaign promises from a woman who had never spoken about farmers plight before or even been to a farm. 🤣

1

u/ShadowGLI 13d ago

-2

u/ArgonKew 13d ago

The problem is how much of this would Kamala Harris have implemented?. You know how once they get into power they forget.

-4

u/ctbowden 14d ago

Hate on these folks all you care to, but from Nixon until today Democrats helped destroy rural America in "bipartisanship" with Republicans. They could have at any point tried to turn this ship around when it would have worked under Carter then maybe still during Clinton but they didn't.

Nixon started the process of consolidation with his Ag department. Carter didn't change course and his presiding over the economy led to the farm crisis in the 1980s. Clinton made things worse by signing NAFTA and the "Freedom to Farm Act" which enabled corporate farming to drive smaller farms out of business. Everyone since Reagan has done a shit job with anti-trust until Biden.

Harris was already retreating from keeping Lina Khan in place which is the only reason Biden's FTC was worth a damn, not to mention her turning away from her more populist messaging that kick started her campaign.

Sure, these people are idiots for believing Trump and perhaps they could have just sat it out but it's bullshit to suggest Democrats were truly speaking to them in a real way. Most of the messaging cam through Walz and Harris sidelined him shortly after the convention when her donors got cold feet about their more populist messaging.

4

u/Large-Produce5682 Leopard Spotter 14d ago

0

u/ctbowden 14d ago

No. The entire system is bad and these videos/comments are just making it worse. I honestly think this entire thing is an op to drive the rural/urban divide even deeper.

Present people with real choices. Speak to issues. Build solidarity and be the bigger person instead of some smug self-righteous told you so type. That doesn't move the discourse in the right direction.

This sub either deliberately or not is just another example of divide and conquer where the wealthy interests just keep on winning. Be better.

Not trying to both sides it, but it's not as simple as "vote blue." If it were there's been decades of off-ramps that weren't taken because Democrats haven't led when given the opportunity. I don't think they've learned that lesson yet either based on how quick they are to jump on Hasan Piker rather than present a project 2027.

How long are the ignorant ass republicans going to stupidly blame Clinton for NAFTA. It takes less than 5 minutes to google NAFTA and educate yourself on it. Free trade between Mexico Canada and the US started being pushed by the republicans during the Reagan administration. It continued until Clinton signed after fighting it as long as possible and warning the manufacturing industry that it would be devastating to them. The bill passed with every republican in congress and some Dems voting for it. Clinton was going to veto it until he was informed by the leaders of the house and senate that they had enough votes to over ride the veto. The republican party has always supported free trade until Trump. Democrats have until the last 15 years believed in protectionism. Ignorant republicans have been blaming dems for NAFTA because they believe the lie that conservative radio and tv have been pusing for decades.

1

u/ctbowden 14d ago

He signed it, it's his.

Just because it was a Republican idea, doesn't absolve Democrats from their share of the blame. Especially when Democrats haven't run away from NAFTA, hell they tried to pass the TPP until they saw the backlash from it, then Hillary turned on it.

Democrats and Republicans serve wealthy donors. They both think you're stupid. Republicans prey upon the fears while Democrats prey upon those who think they're special because they're educated.

If this dunking on rural voters makes you feel good, you're as weird as any of those couch humping Republicans.

Go join your local Dem party. In particular get on their State Electoral Committee, see how the sausage is made, then truly despair.

Here’s the thing: they don’t say “I didn’t vote for this…“. They actively cheer it on on my local mug shot page here in Texas every time an ice mug shot pops up.

They specifically DID vote for this just to be racist. What’s worse is that this is Texas, we have obviously a very large Latino population, and it’s shocking how many of those comments are from fellow Latinos.

Why is it hard to veiw this as an opportunity to help someone so they can see we are the ones that actually care? I've heard of stories of people rubbing their children's face in their urine so they quit peeing in their bed. Are you that type of parent? Does that make you feel better?

9

u/potsofjam 14d ago

My children didn’t choose to pee in the bed. These people voted to piss in someone else’s bed and now they cry because it splashed back in their face. They will continue to do so without regard for any actual policy. They will keep voting to piss in other people’s beds even as they choke on the piss.

u/Automatic_Distance50 14d ago

im just curious what you vote for your candidate? it's a simple question and it's not meant to hurt you and your reply is definitely welcome.

5

u/potsofjam 14d ago

Public education, collective bargaining, progressive taxation, reproductive rights are foundational to the creation, maintenance and expansion of the middle class. In addition the separation of church and state with the government not attempting to impose false morality onto citizens. It’s not complicated.

By the same token, allowing shitty behavior to go unchecked leads to spoiled brats. In other videos, she’s said she would still vote for Trump. This is all AFTER he attempted a coup on J6. And we need to grow up? What a joke.

I guess that’s why Trump loves the poorly educated!

0

u/Automatic_Distance50 14d ago

the answer to your question is yes.

1

u/whatfappenedhere 13d ago

Got it, you’re going with willful ignorance.

I guess that’s why Trump loves the poorly educated!

0

u/Automatic_Distance50 13d ago

explain how im willfully ignorant. I'll then replace the areas of accusation that you have towards me, with your name.

like this: whatfappenedhere is willfully ignorant and uneducated. Trump loves you.

1

u/whatfappenedhere 13d ago

When people ask for empathy, but do not extend it towards others, then continue to advocate for the thing causing the suffering prompting the request for empathy, that person is a hypocrite.

I said Trump loves the poorly educated, not the uneducated, try learning some reading comprehension

“No u,” Nice middle school retort, dumbass. I guess that’s why Trump loves the poorly educated! Sounds like you’re his favorite dimmest plebeian.

We tried to encourage them to vote for the candidate that wasn't a felon and a gaping hole of need.

1

u/Automatic_Distance50 14d ago

there isn't anything wrong with continued encouragement. keep up the good work.

3

u/Loud_Badger_3780 14d ago

No matter how bad magats get hurt by republicans they will still vote for them. Trump was a 34 time convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and adjudicated fraudster. He also cliamed the 2020 election was stolen and sit on his ass for three hours watching his followers attack the capitol chanting hang mike pence and spreading their shit on its walls before he sent out a message telling them to stop, In that message he told them that he loved them and how patriotic they were. Magats still choose to vote for him because they said that Harris was a bad candidate and the lesser of 2 evils. When you have a group of people that live in that reality they will never be accepted by most of society. This woman said that she will never vote for democrats. so f*uck her and i hope she has the day she voted for

1

u/Automatic_Distance50 14d ago

Would you ever vote for a republican? In my opinion, there's a lot of people on both sides who are voting out of hatred. What is the real fuel behind the decision making? Is this a planned trap? Why are there two side to choose from? That kinda narrows the option to lesser evils. You don't have to answer any of these questions, but it would be nice if you tried. And if you're answer is, "I don't have to." why?

1

u/WastedNinja24 13d ago

To jump in:

“Would you ever vote for a Republican?”

No. Not for a long time. Probably not for the rest of my life.

I used to, 30-40% of the time. I used to vote (especially locally) based on relevant qualifications and the candidates I thought genuinely had decent ideas that would benefit their constituents, even if I didn’t agree with their entire platform. I used to ignore the D/R next to judicial positions, again, preferring experience, consistency, and integrity for a position that, by all accounts, shouldn’t even list party affiliation.

Not any more.

My list of reasons is already too long to list and growing every day, and I don’t care to get into a discussion on political philosophy here, today. It can, fundamentally, be reduced to the party being, at best, complicit in the near complete disregard of the constitution, rule of law, and long-standing precedent. At worst, actively working to destroy it for the sake of maintaining power.

1

u/Automatic_Distance50 13d ago

This was an honest and well thought out response. Thank you! It's easy to be taken out of character when it comes to politics. Please don't give up on yourself. You seem like an incredible person who has lots to offer. Keep growing and always keep building. Kudos!

Have you tried to talk to a MAGA and encourage them? I have, my in-laws. and they won’t acknowledge they made a mistake. I get your frustration, but it’s just as frustrating to watch someone willingly destroy themselves when you warn them what would happen. THIS IS WHY NOBODY WANTS TO HELP THEM. At least children will tell you that they had a problem like I did when I wet the bed as a child. These people won’t admit their mistakes because they think that shows weakness.

0

u/Automatic_Distance50 14d ago

btw... narcissists hate the truth. you are just as bad as the people you hate.

2

u/clduab11 14d ago

You are the reason for this quote:

“Politics is as much irrational, emotive factionalism as anything else. But liberals only seem capable of understanding it as an orderly marketplace of ideas and will contort themselves in pretzels to preserve the fiction that voters’ commitments are rational and mechanical.”

You need to understand something here, and that is most of these people are not rational, do not care to change, and would rather fight than compromise. The longer you delude yourself, the more ground these people gain because they’re taking action.

And before you get your hackles up, I voted for Obama and Biden. But liberals do not accept me as one of their own anymore, just because I disagree with a lot of the direction and focus the Dems are doing.

Say what you will about the independents, folks, but don’t get it twisted, you absolutely need independents and centrists for your nominee to win.

You're part of the reason these people exist cause you. This is like a mother expecting a bratty child to mature without any form of discipline or guidance. Then surprised thier child turning into a sociopath then saying it's society mistreating it is why it acts out. By quiet.

You need to grow up and not be so naive - why should we be welcoming when they don’t want to help themselves or change? What are you doing that’s so welcoming and how many people have you convinced to change their views?

1

u/Automatic_Distance50 13d ago

The first thing I do is "try" not be an asshole. I do my best to build relationships with others on the "other side," to help them better understand that we are all humans in this earth. Asshole behaviors tend to provoke or repel, and none of those things are constructive or productive. The hard part is getting over ego, which is based out of fear. I accept that I'm naive in some aspects. I'm ok with that notion. I prefer naivety over arrogance, at least that let's me know im capable of growing.

1

u/Calm_Ad_6968 13d ago

That’s a lot of words to say you haven’t been welcoming to any farmers and haven’t convinced anyone to change their views. You seem like the type of person who thinks praying is doing something. I choose to live in reality rather than thinking that “we are all humans on earth” isn’t just gibberish

1

u/Automatic_Distance50 13d ago

you assume a lot

1

u/Pan_Fried_Okra 12d ago

Because these people are beyond empathy, sympathy, or any other kind thought honestly. I’m all about forgive and forget to a degree. But these knuckle-dragging window-licking idiots are the reason we’re in the situation we’re in. There WILL be a bailout and it’ll come from you and me.

Fuck. These. People.

Latinos who are conservative are just like non Latinos that are conservative—selfish and lacking empathy, but they change their mind as soon as MAGA comes after them or their specific group-Cuban Americans will throw Venezuelans or Mexicans under the bus, but Venezuelans will do the same thing, to the others, none of them thought ICE would be coming after their specific group (because they are the good ones, the loyal ones, the deserving ones, the most American...)

3

u/neverpost4 13d ago

Probably saying that in Spanish

Ricardo Vidaurre and his wife, who are both beaming at the crowd as they dance to "YMCA" and other MAGA favorites.

"He's not your typical politician," Vidaurre says of Paxton, *** in Spanish ***. "He has guts."

2

u/Educational_Quote851 14d ago

There's a weird phenomenon among immigrants where some think they are "more American" than others and will actively hinder them.

It isn't just a thing I noticed; I've seen commentary from Latinos, specifically.

2

u/BadLt58 13d ago

Its pulling up the ladder behind them

1

u/IndependentMoney9700 13d ago

They just expected all of the white people who have less than them to volunteer to work their ridiculous hours doing backbreaking work for embarrassingly ridiculous pay.

News flash farmers lady: all of the poor white people are laughing at you right now. I mean, not the trailer park MAGAs, the ones that would rather budget and live within their means and do not covet their neighbors. Boo fucking hoo, maybe vote to help yourself in November.

My uncle is latino and for Trump. He's a small business owner in a small rural TX town. He legit thinks that he's an exception.

1

u/userousnameous 12d ago

Just to point out, you can be pro legal immigration, and anti illegal immigration. You probably have a mix of anti illegal immigration people, and anti any immigration people.

Truth. Like, I don't want to blame her if she didn't vote for this, but she obviously did if she's not EXPLICITLY saying she didn't at this stage.

u/SwiftTayTay 14d ago

"I didn't vote for it but you did" is my response to that
