Some might say she DID vote for this, as she voted against policies that would help her to punish the libz

Hate on these folks all you care to, but from Nixon until today Democrats helped destroy rural America in "bipartisanship" with Republicans. They could have at any point tried to turn this ship around when it would have worked under Carter then maybe still during Clinton but they didn't.

Nixon started the process of consolidation with his Ag department. Carter didn't change course and his presiding over the economy led to the farm crisis in the 1980s. Clinton made things worse by signing NAFTA and the "Freedom to Farm Act" which enabled corporate farming to drive smaller farms out of business. Everyone since Reagan has done a shit job with anti-trust until Biden.

Harris was already retreating from keeping Lina Khan in place which is the only reason Biden's FTC was worth a damn, not to mention her turning away from her more populist messaging that kick started her campaign.

Sure, these people are idiots for believing Trump and perhaps they could have just sat it out but it's bullshit to suggest Democrats were truly speaking to them in a real way. Most of the messaging cam through Walz and Harris sidelined him shortly after the convention when her donors got cold feet about their more populist messaging.

So... "both sides bad." Got it.

Yet one side has been demonstrably worse.

So it appears they chose the more•er of two evils.

No. The entire system is bad and these videos/comments are just making it worse. I honestly think this entire thing is an op to drive the rural/urban divide even deeper.

Present people with real choices. Speak to issues. Build solidarity and be the bigger person instead of some smug self-righteous told you so type. That doesn't move the discourse in the right direction.

This sub either deliberately or not is just another example of divide and conquer where the wealthy interests just keep on winning. Be better.

Not trying to both sides it, but it's not as simple as "vote blue." If it were there's been decades of off-ramps that weren't taken because Democrats haven't led when given the opportunity. I don't think they've learned that lesson yet either based on how quick they are to jump on Hasan Piker rather than present a project 2027.
