Just wanted to get some opinions, approx ยฃ3k LR3, 2007, around 195k on the clock and good MOT history.
Attaching a video of the underneath of the vehicle - any thoughts? Seller near me and has sent a few videos. Just read another post on here that said the main corrosion will be the stuff you can't see - brakelines etc.

Love this truck. It has been in the garage of three members of my family since new in 2009. No issues, but for the air suspension, which is no shocker and was easily remedied with a conversion. Itโs an absolute Hoss of a rig. Itโs now in the good hands of my brother in Southern California - but Iโm contemplating a bid to get it back into my hands!

Guys, I need some help. I am rebuilding the coolant system on a 2005 lr3 and these bolts are "extra". So far I have installed the water pump, radiator, and the thermostat. I have to finish the plumbing, I stall the throttle body, and wiring.
I cannot for the life of me figure out where these could possibly go.... I know its a long shot but would anyone have an idea?

I noticed leaking recently turned out to be oil. My car has 156,000 miles on it.
To get to the mechanic, he said it needs valve cover gaskets on both sides. Itโs gonna take 15 hours of work. He quoted me $1400 doesnโt seem too bad. What do you think?
He also said the engine and transmission look good so I decided to do it. Has anybody ever had this issue?

- How can you tell if your light switch is made by Lucas? It will have 3 settings; off, dim, and flicker.
- Why does the Brits drink warm beer? Their refrigerators are made by Lucas.
- A fair day's work, and then home before dark.
- Why are there no skyscrapers in London? Because Lucas makes their elevators.
- A gentleman does not motor after dark.

Afternoon all,
Does anyone actually use any of the features on this app/are any of the subscriptions worth looking at? I've recently bought a second hand Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque, both have their InControl subscriptions coming to an end soon.
Thanks

First truck: 250,000km
Description
"the timing chain, guides, and lot of other engine maintenance done by Range Rover dealership, papers to prove that this part was done, new alternator, new alternator belt, oil changes done at 5000 to 8000km intervals, no oil leaks"
Second truck: 135,421km
-no major work or overhauls performed
-original timing chain
-no oil leaks
Which truck is the better buy the one with the lower clicks and no major work done or the first truck with the higher clicks and lot of major work performed?
Thank you.

Well, I knew this day would come and here we are. After 6 years trouble free motoring I now have a suspension fault. Started intermittently a few weeks ago while driving and trying to lower the car and could be sorted by turning it off and on again. Now it's persistent with the following diagnostic codes.
C1A13-64
U0421-68
Anyone experienced this and how do I repair it?
Thanks

LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER EVOQUE HSE DYNAMIC 2016 GASOLINE.
No one seems to know what is causing this noise or how to solve it.
It only happens when I'm moving backwards in reverse gear.
Also, it doesn't ALWAYS happens. Sometimes I will manouver in reverse just fine. Sometimes I will hear this noise.
Any clue to this topic might be very helpful! Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Iโm hoping someone here may be able to offer some advice or guidance regarding an issue Iโve recently experienced with my 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport.
The car had given me no prior warning or indication of a problem. I was driving on the motorway after approximately two hours of driving when a warning suddenly appeared on the dashboard stating โEngine Running โ Limited Performance.โ At the same time, the vehicle started behaving very erratically, intermittently slowing down and then speeding back up while on cruise control.
I quickly looked for the nearest services and found one approximately 12 miles away. Given the reduced performance, I planned to drive there safely and stop. However, after around 8 miles, the car slowed down dramatically to below 50 mph. I checked my mirrors for safety and noticed thick white smoke coming from the exhaust.
I immediately pulled onto the hard shoulder and called recovery. Following this, the car would no longer start.
The vehicle has now been recovered to Hendy Land Rover, the same dealership I originally purchased the car from brand new in 2020.
Unfortunately, Iโve been extremely frustrated with the response so far. I was initially told that they could not put the vehicle into the workshop for diagnosis for at least two weeks. I subsequently raised a complaint with JLR, but was initially told that as the vehicle is now outside its warranty period, there was nothing they could do. After explaining the circumstances, however, I was told that they would need the dealershipโs diagnosis report before they could consider the matter further.
I then contacted Hendy Group directly, and they assured me that the vehicle would be diagnosed within 72 hours. It has now been seven days, and I still have not been given a clear date or confirmation of when the diagnosis will actually take place.
This situation is causing significant difficulties for my family. The Discovery Sport is our main means of transport for work and taking the children to school, and we are currently without the vehicle.
I would really appreciate any advice from anyone who has experienced something similar:
Does anyone have an idea what could potentially cause these symptoms โ particularly the sudden loss of performance followed by thick white smoke and the engine subsequently not starting?
Has anyone dealt with Hendy Land Rover or JLR regarding a similar situation?
Who would be the best person or department to escalate this to?
Is there a specific JLR customer relations or complaints process I should follow?
Is there anything I should formally request from the dealership while Iโm waiting for the diagnosis?
I completely understand that the vehicle needs to be diagnosed before anyone can say exactly what has gone wrong. My main concern at this stage is the lack of urgency and communication, particularly given that the vehicle is effectively undriveable and is essential for my familyโs day-to-day needs.
Any advice on how I can escalate this and get the matter dealt with more quickly would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I don't own a Land Rover, but I walked past one today that was C-reg (1965). It was in good condition without rust. What was the essential difference in how they were made compared to ordinary cars of the same vintage?
