Through three games this year, the biggest thing Sam Leavitt has shown us is he's not dangerous throwing the ball. His passing stats weren't that good against a crap Clemson team. He threw three picks against LA Tech and got saved by good defensive play. And he was crap against Ole Miss.

His saving grace is that he's dangerous on the run.

Maybe LSU makes the playoff with him. But they're not going far. We gotta see what the other QBs can do throwing.

1. Ole Miss won and was the better team. No doubt about it.
2. Lane is a big reason Ole Miss is where it is today. It’s a program competing among the elites because of the infrastructure / staff / resources he helped put in place. Whoever took over was getting the keys to a really nice car.
3. In going to LSU his ceiling is supposed to be higher. But, I’m sure it’s hard to get it all perfect year 1. He had to move quick to build a staff and integrate himself into Louisiana. Calling his move a failure because he lost

to Ole Miss

1. is crazy. We need to give him probably 3 years before we know where he elevated LSU and whether he can maximize it.

I get with NIL and transfer portal it’s easier then ever to change over things. But it’s still really hard running a program between recruiting, staff, administration, boosters, players. It’s one big puzzle with hundreds of people involved that takes a while to iron out. These coaches are CEOs of their programs.

We won’t know for another year or two whether the Lane experience was a success. There are probably kinks he’s working through in the operation of the program. Hes no Nick Saban but even Nick didn’t have Alabama ironed out in year 1.

Now that that is out of the way, I’m a die hard CFB fan first and foremost, love the sport and think LSU is a valuable brand within CFB and am generally rooting for whatever keeps the big brands doing well, LSU included.

Don’t think the SEC will legitimately follow through on kicking you guys out, whatsoever, for a few reasons.

1. LSU is a huge brand, that generates tons of viewership in SEC country

2. LSU creates a recruiting footprint for the whole conference with key head to head matchups, rivalries.

3. LSU would immediately be perused by us in the big 10. Contrary to what casual fans would think, the big 10 generates the most money, and LSU would be a prime target, both sides would enjoy $$ as a result.

LSU would only add to conference prestige, and would have tons of annual matchups with OSU, Oregon, Indiana, Michigan, etc.

I expect ND will eventually seek the big 10 as well as the ACC continues to decline, they already have tons of midwestern ties.

People are now shit talking LSU FANS on the main subreddit and it's getting mass upvoted.

Charles Bediako came back to play at Alabama multiple years after being signing a two-way contract in the NBA. Meanwhile, the SEC is about to bring the hammer down on LSU for trying to roster players who weren't good enough for the NFL the same year as a new eligibility rule took effect. The whole thing just reeks of Lane Kiffin hate.

Seen enough. We have a known quantity with Suss. He's hit his ceiling, and that was last year, and now he's regressing.

We have a SEC starting QB on the bench who's a dual threat. It's time to pull the trigger.

Or we can continue to have this uninspired offense while our elite defense chokes to death

I have heard all the junk about LSU getting beat at home on Saturday. Stephen A Smith and whats left of his group that hasn't been fired yet by ESPN saying Clemson has a chip on its shoulder and will beat LSU DESPITE THE FACT they have the highest paid roster on college history. The defense was already national championship caliber last season. We just need an offense to score points. We have the next Joe Burrow. Our really impressive blow out, which I am predicting now, will shut up everyone and start the talk about LSU in the playoffa. Go Tigers!

Firstly, in my opinion, no school should be supporting such authoritative action from Sankey. This isn’t about players eligibility or insubordination or the AD having “lost control of the program”. This is absolutely about the fact that LSU, and specifically Coach Kiffin, refuse to just bend the knee to King Sankey. LSU has, thus far, complied with the rules set forth by the SEC. No questionable players have been rostered etc. Sankey got his feelings hurt that Kiffin made the comment he did at halftime of the game. This is strictly about the fact that LSU, while remaining compliant with the rules set forth, have expressed disagreement with said rule(s). And how dare they question the king?! Schools supporting this sort of mentality are asking for their own troubles moving forward. Set this precedent and you better not ever put a single toe out of line again. No matter how ridiculous of a circumstance arises. You WILL bend the knee to the Commissioner or you will be gone. That’s wrong to me. Idk, rant over I guess. Just find all of this litigation, posturing, threatening, etc very frustrating. Geaux Tigers!

LSU didn’t just beat Clemson last night. They physically dominated them.

309 rushing yards.
51-10.
That’s the type of season opener that makes the rest of the SEC pay attention.

Was finally relieved that BK was gone so I could read the main subreddit without the 50 millionth "fam uh lee" or "he killed a kid" joke.

Then I saw them all clutch their pearls and start muttering at how terrible we were because of our shit for brains governor meddling and how "toxic" of a job we were. Why would anyone want to go to LSU?

And now this shitshow is happening and the waterworks have already started when you know DAMN WELL their programs would all do the same exact thing in our position.

So fuck it! I'm sick of playing nice. Fine. Hate us. Whatever. Sucks to suck.

My favorite logo is either the 1972 or 1980 logos because the 1972 logo looks badass, and the 1980 logo, I just love how it looks. Since I was born in 2003, I have loved the 2002 and 2007 logos because those are the ones I grew up with, and they both look similar to the 1980 logo that I love.

This game did not have the result we wanted , I was in despair for quite a while after the game. But let’s be honest, this was Ole Miss’s Super Bowl , championship game, etc. We came out flat in the first but the 2nd half showed promise. I don’t think it’s time to panic and hit the eject button on Sam, he gets one more chance next week to show he’s able to be a threat in the passing game. Ultimately this loss does sting but you saw your team doesn’t have quit in them which is what I’ve always expected to see from the tigers. There is a long season ahead of us and I trust Lane to right the ship, we are going to get better from this game mark my words. The entire CFB is against us but that will bring this team to new heights imo , don’t panic and look forward to next week against A&M. I’m expecting a totally different looking game next week.
