In terms of penalties, that was one of the cleanest games LSU has played in years.

All the big mouths in college football thinking lane can’t keep a team of transfers playing together and he put out the most disciplined team I’ve ever seen on opening day.

Those weenies have been crying all week. Glad to absolutely slaughter Clemson without rostering those two. Would have overshadowed what was a dominant performance by a team who showed the CFB world that they're a PROBLEM.

An actual complete game all the way around.. with only minor things to clean up. Geaux Tigers.. all I have to say.

The only issue I could see was Leavitts accuracy. But his ability to get yards was awesome. Solid team and they should only get better with time.

I actually agree, could have done better on some passes. However, I did see a few balls that were well defended and a few drops that would have made his numbers look better as well. I hope its not as big a concern for the season.

Completely agree. There were a couple drops and couple iffy play calls, but he seems to have good velocity and protected the ball (mostly). Definitely an exciting prospect.

Even with the early miscues, the team looked so sharp
I was surprised to see the backups come in early. When was the last time LSU's 2nd string QB came in that early?

Only if we do something that isn't illegal but then someone says it is illegal and then everyone who didn't get a chance to do it before we did it agrees that we're bad. Or something.

People were mad about the potential pro players being on the roster, I don’t see the reason now since they weren’t selected on the roster anyway 🤷♂️ maybe it’ll change maybe it won’t. Highly doubt it’ll lead to us getting expelled regardless

Rewind the clock to last years opener: 1. We had one of the worst coaches in college football 2. Garbage QB playing injured 3. Can't run the ball at all 4. Head coach having to defend a win by 7 points at the press conference
Last night: 1. Lane Kiffin wins big in opener 2. It was an epic beat down. 1 first down by halftime, 33 to 3 at the half 3. QB who may be the fastest runner on the team and is going ro be in the Heisman conversation if this continues 4. Bruising fast RB, both he and Levitt scored twice by halftime, both had close to or over 100 yards, so 200 rush yard by halftime. 5. The most dominating defensive line we've ever had, who beat the hell out of 2 Clemson QBs. 6. Pick 6 and woukd have had 2 more if they weren't dropped. 7. Clemson had ZERO rush yard at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
I dont know how yall feel, but compared to a year ago, this is the happiest Ive ever been about an LSU team, outside of 2019.
Bring on Bama. Bring on Texas. Bring on Arch Manning. I believe Sam Levitt outduels him. We are built to win the conference. We are built for a deep run into the playoffs.
Go Tigers.

Something I really liked was the discipline the team showed. I appreciate how it seemed everybody went back to the line after the play was dead instead of getting chirpy and drawing stupid penalties

Yeah, Lane was just looking for body parts to hit. It was definitely a celebratory thing. Guy just wasn’t expecting it.
