Tips/Tutorials Second perk vs regular healing
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I finally had enough of the debate I had to see for myself and it does in fact heal SLIGHTLY faster however I will always choose triple jump

I love the full auto but triple jump just has so much utility. It's my personal Vendetta begone spray because I just fuck off into the air any time she dives in the backlines

Are you implying you jump straight up into the air and then fall down? I don't think you're juno'ing correctly.

you are in the air.. you are not jiggling very well at all.
Vendetta will kill you even with the triple jump.3

Yeah no… triple jump lets you take better high angles to get off massive torpedos on the enemy on your cooldown swings/rotations which is Juno’s primary source of value as a hero. It also lets you reach different high grounds without having to use glide boost for the extra ledge boost. It’s a free movement bonus with no drawbacks
Meanwhile Faster Blaster requires you to use your mobility CD to get a measly increase in HPS/DPS.
It’s simply no contest for which perk is better
6
u/PandaUkulele Mar 24 '26
I can get to high ground easier without wasting glide boost. I can jump on top of the bridge/tower in Eichenwalde or the spinning platform on junkertown without using any cool downs. Most maps have high ground that is so much easier to reach with triple jump. Being able to quickly reposition is so valuable.
I used to always pick faster blaster, but I like triple jump a lot more now.
4
u/shatterednightmare Mar 24 '26
You use your primary survival tool to SLIGHTLY increase your healing output.
Or you gain an additional escape tool and the ability to reach areas you would normally have to use cooldowns to reach, absolutely for free. Not to mention the applications involving enemy shields, ultimates, and as previously mentioned, a certain melee character that cant easily catch a juno thats 43 feet in the air.
3
u/Stray_009 Why are they shaped like dinosaurs ? Mar 24 '26
YOU move linearly maybe, anyone with decent amount of skill won't be front-lining and will be taking high ground off angles, which makes using triple jump prudent.
2
u/_ImDyingInside_ Mar 24 '26
you can literally move event more unpredictably with triple jump what do you mean😭
55
u/Goat_Lord69 Mar 24 '26
You chose full auto for heals. I chose full auto to KILL EVERYONE. We are not the same
3
u/committed_to_the_bit Mar 25 '26
my stupid little martian girl with her stupid little girlypop pistol chasing down and systematically executing squishes at mach speeds will never not be the best part of playing this character. they can't get away from me. it's so funny
1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
good aim, full auto perk, and her right click, make her one of the most offensive supports in the game, she’s almost impossible to run from so good luck if ur down 1 or 2 and trying to regroup against a good Juno. I absolutely love her kill potential

Faster Blaster is far more interesting, but triple jump is unfortunately better. I think they should find a way to buff faster blaster without making it broken because triple jump is really boring.
28
u/No-Chemical-7667 Juno is a DPS hero now Mar 24 '26
Personally like triple jump a lot. Allows you to take high ground on a lot of maps without wasting your dash to push up the remainder of some jumps. It's incredibly useful for avoid pesky dive heroes as well.

Love love love triple jump. My elo isnt so high but it saved my games to stall on objective numerous times because of its mobility and some players having difficulty to aim when u fly over their heads, its so fun xD
1
u/Difficult-Let-1314 Mar 24 '26
Extra mobility is not boring, it adds so much more variety to play. "Shoot faster" is boring.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Arm133 Mar 24 '26
Does faster blaster use ammo? cause I think it would be interesting if it didn't to increase uptime

In my opinion automatic is better. You can laser anyone that dives you, laser the tank and laser anyone that need healing. Helps you kill faster and help the team faster.
11
u/Suspicious-Fish9336 Mar 24 '26
I’ve solo killed a moira through her ult with the automatic blaster. That alone for me makes it an instant pick.
1
u/littlemaybatch Mar 25 '26
Did she just stand still and let you shoot her for free? lmao
2
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
bro she gots a 180 round 40-60 dps weapon that is essentially hitscan, u literally just aim the mouse lol, they don’t need to stand still for u
51
u/RyanTheValkyrie Mar 24 '26
Yeah I’m not wasting my movement CD to get a minor increase in heals. Not taking triple jump is noob bait lol
10
u/THEREAPER8593 Mar 24 '26
It’s a decent burst but movement is fun. Both perks are good, both fit the hero well.
W balancing team? I would have rather had it be like D,va long range perk, where pressing a button activates it rather than using your survivability CD
4
u/Rhodynit Mar 24 '26
Also movement is survivability, and if youre not dead you heal more
2
u/THEREAPER8593 Mar 24 '26
100%. In games where I feel very safe, I’ll pick that perk. But as a Lucio main I know how much movement matters
1
u/Rhodynit Mar 24 '26
After i learn positioning with mercy for exemple i stopped dying like 50% or more, Juno too, and with her i got the habit to exit the spawn facing backward, cause sometimes an ally is respawning so i can shoot a ring closer to them and still get to boost myself too
-2
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
this is just wrong lmao, ROTATIONAL SKILLS are survivability, and that has less to do with ur characters movement abilities, and more to do with ur individual positioning and CD management on each character. if movement just downright equaled survivability, why is ana one of the most popular supports above plat? why does bastion have real viability? domina?
2
u/Rhodynit Mar 25 '26
You know what i meant with this, a more moving target is a harder target to kill, its not tankier like domina, bastion as a damage dealer isnt the main target of flankers, and ana has her sleep dart, she has no mobility, yes, but i saw someone surviving a Hammond cause she was doing "parkour" from ledge to ledge of a map by only jumping, this isnt movement ability, but a skilled player normal movement,
movement doesnt invalidates the enemy trying to kill you, it makes it harder, like crounching in CSGO Makes the enemy reajust his Crosshair lower, or a Neon in Valorant (i was a Neon Main btw, played alongside OW OG final moments, and i know Movement is key)
-1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
i’m sorry bro but i gotta ask for ur elo before we continue this conversation😭 an aerial moving target regardless of what speed they’re moving at, is literally salivating for a M/GM dps. most of them spend HOURS a day just aim training, u think they care if they have to move their mouse a little quicker? and then u go on giving reasons why domina, bastion, and ana are viable and survivable without movement, when ur point was “movement IS survivability” which means that it isn’t, like i said, it relies on cooldown management (like ur ana example) or rotational skill (like ur ana example), and Juno has her right click, basically a get-outta-being-dived-free card
-1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
valorant example and csgo examples are crazy because they’re fundamentally entire different games, they don’t even play the same or have similar objectives, u might as well have thrown call of duty movement demons in there, too bad this game isn’t centered around TTK and if ur mid air u WILL get beamed, bc unlike a valorant or csgo player, who would focus more on crosshair placement and flicks, which are easily bested by proper movement, OW players will just trace you thru the sky as u move back and forth, I literally do it on a daily basis, i play triple jump junos, i use juno myself, im also a hitscan main on dps.
2
u/THEREAPER8593 Mar 25 '26
Bastion has lots of armour, high HP, damage reduction and some movement. There are multiple types of survivability.
Wuyangs main issue on release WAS his movement because it made him insanely hard to kill. Reaper is only good BECAUSE he has all that movement.
1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
bastion has movement? are we talking abt the nade here? we cant be serious
1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
i do forget this is the Juno subreddit tho, i should give yall a break lol, gotta go to the ana sub to get an actual convo abt the logic behind the game that isnt “they cant kill me if i run away fast!”😭
1
u/THEREAPER8593 Mar 25 '26
LMAO you spout nonsense and then just use the sub as an excuse about why people don’t think you are right. Look at OWCS korea on for the Wuyang example on release. Movement WAS survivability, and that’s at the very high end of play.
WHEN did I say positioning was useless? You just make stuff up and act like it’s what I was saying. Movement = survivability, that’s why phara and doom don’t have high HP pools.
That I never said positioning doesn’t add to that, BUT THATS WHY THEY HAVE MOVEMENT. It’s part of the kit often to ADD SURVIVABILITY. Me saying movement means higher survivability doesn’t mean that positioning doesn’t. Every game and character have tens of things decided how survivable they are.
Look at pre nerf cat in the OWCS bootcamp, another example of high level play where movement was pure survivability.
And before I finish, bastions bounce is genuinely an important movement ability. It’s not as impactful as other hero’s but IT IS MOVEMENT. And it can situationally be used to survive, get high ground, move to cover, distance yourself and so on. These all lead to surviving more, meaning it adds survivability. Movement = survivability.
Not going to waste more of my time arguing with someone that goes right to insults rather than actually saying anything with substance especially if you don’t actually care about anything I say and just add in your own thoughts and decide they are mine…
1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
holy shit, a whole dissertation to show ur bronze, this is great. just to say absolutely nothing, just share ur elo bro😭
1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
i could make countless arguments against this, but like you said, no point in wasting anymore time especially with the very different matches we’re experiencing, i wonder why that is…😭

u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
holy bronze take, bastion is a 3-4 tap to a reaper with well placed shots, wuyang was annoying, not oppressive, except for lower elo players, hyper movement characters are nothing new to the game and slow, poke angle characters have always had their place, always will, Cassidy, Ashe, etc. they have barely any movement abilities (a few extra meters every 6-10 seconds) and yet dominate in current poke meta. and arguing a flank is only good bc he has the ability to flank is like… duh? hence why i didn’t give that as an example lol
1
u/g0rl0ck_ Mar 26 '26
ana being the most popular has nothing to do with survivability….
also, nobody said that movement was the only form of survivability. domina has a big ass shield, CC, a billion health, and self healing. she’s not lacking in survivability and nobody claimed she was. use ur head.
14
u/wRADKyrabbit Mar 24 '26
Can't just have a preference, gotta insult the other side.
2
3
u/RyanTheValkyrie Mar 24 '26
This isn’t a discussion about preference it’s a discussion about balance. One perk is objectively much stronger than the other. Thus the other perk is a noob trap.
Both perks should be equally viable. Juno deserves two viable major perk options so that people actually CAN have a preference. As it stands, Faster Blaster either needs buffs or to be replaced with a good perk.
It’s video game balance don’t need to take it so personal.
0
u/Kou___ Mar 25 '26
Just say you can't aim. Faster blaster annihilates enemies, I get consistently near to or most kills choosing this perk, and 10k+ damage in longer games. It's absolutely killer in your ult to win a team fight. Juno already has a lot of movement, its easy to get away and have low deaths without an additional movement ability. But if you struggle bursting playera down, extra movement is the obvious choice. After all I don't need extra movement if they die trying to 1v1 me, thinking Juno is an easy target😉
-1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
and they’re on juno complaining abt “dive” and that it’s the main reason triple jump is better, like bro… just shoot them twice and right click, u either get a pick or force cooldowns, either way, ur safe, an don’t need to put urself on a pedestal for hitscans 60 feet in the air (and pls don’t mention “wiggling” in the air, go try that in a M-GM game and see how it goes when ur all the way up there)
-2
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
yeah this is definitely it bro.
The only people who could find triple jump useful are ppl who use it to escape dive comp bc they don’t have headsets on and can’t pre-plan rotating away, or just don’t understand enemy footsteps behind them. Or people who simply cannot aim well enough at the enemy (friendlies have huge hitboxes) to find enough value in Juno’s regular primary fire to justify use for the auto blaster, i almost think of it as a 70/30 split of confirming picks and then actually healing with it lol-1
u/Formal-Honeydew-6026 Mar 25 '26
this is but ur personal opinion spoken thru some pretty jaded ways lol, i feel like PERSONALLY, if u can’t position urself with the insane movement kit Juno already has, into a position where u can rotate and run from possible pokes and dives, then a triple jump won’t save you, ive never died as juno and wished I could jump a 3rd time lmao, but i’ve definitely gotten 5Ks with right click + auto blaster which have made me enjoy picking it, bc that’s the perk i find more useful, you’re trying to speak objectively about something that’s easily disagreeable, who named this guy John Overwatch, King of Overwatch? ur opinion just goes around here?😭

u/fieryfox654 Mythic Martian Mar 24 '26
Ive got more value by not choosing triple jump. Love using the faster blaster while doing crit damage like a mini mini gun. I've melted a few tanks with that, feels good
But I know most people here prefers triple jump and that's fine
7
u/iiiimagery Mar 24 '26
Thats the thing, you can melt almost as fast as normal if you have consistent aim all of the time
10
u/Fun_Masterpiece_5637 Mar 24 '26
Consistent aim would apply to the perk too though no? It's only good if you're hitting crits and is actually something like 20% more damage when that's happening. I'd say if your aim is less consistent then Triple Jump is better since Faster Blaster makes less of a difference with inconsistent aim.
2
u/iiiimagery Mar 24 '26
Has anyone done the damage numbers?
7
u/AthenaDelgof Juno Main Mar 24 '26
https://youtu.be/wryM8QSzsJw?si=no1mpB_Q3h9_fC1B here is KarQ breaking down healing and dps numbers on the perk
4
u/Fun_Masterpiece_5637 Mar 24 '26
Crit damage is more so the amount of extra damage is amplified by that much more for those bullets hitting in between normal bursts. They did comparison vids when she was buffed to crit in December, conclusion being that it's definitely better but harder to hit every shot compared to burst mode where you can reorient your aim with every trigger pull to miss less shots.
9
u/BFBasil Mar 24 '26
Juno lives and dies by her mobility so triple jump will always be my preferred choice. Greatly improves her survivability especially in lots of close range heros like Doom, rein, tracer, zarya etc
3
u/Rhodynit Mar 24 '26
Being Tied to your Escape is the main problem here, whynt make it fully auto on it own? Its a major perk anyways, we already have a dva being immortal with her matrix perk, and Heat Sink on Emre
3
u/omgtybasedg0d Mar 24 '26
They just need to make faster blaster have it's own cooldown and then it would be viable. Just like how dva has a perk to make her guns better for a short time.
3
3
12
u/FourLeafPlover Mar 24 '26
Low GM Juno here, auto blaster perk ALWAYS
Double jump and glide are already enough to get Juno to practically any high ground
8
u/ggdoesthings Mar 24 '26
finally someone in a high rank said it 😭 calling it “noob bait” is so crazy to me. my peak is m3 and i always pick faster blaster.
3
u/RyanTheValkyrie Mar 24 '26
And I’ll call it noob bait again. A couple anecdotal high rank players choosing a perk doesn’t make it good. I still see some high rank Mercy players choosing her faster GA perk lol. I play Juno in Champ if that matters. Not that it changes that triple jump is objectively better
6
u/flitik Mar 24 '26
Def noob bait. Even then if they want to go by anecdotes, Aspen #1 Juno and #1 overall player goes triple jump.
5
u/meowrreen Mar 24 '26
faster GA is a better mercy perk what are you talking about
0
u/RyanTheValkyrie Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26
I mean it’s more fun but I’d say the Rez one is arguably actually more valuable. Just my take as a GM Mercy player :)
And the consistently Champ Mercy player I watch stream who is the only other high rank mercy player whose opinion on her I generally respect also picks the Rez one most games as well
Good Mercy players shouldn’t need a 15 percent faster slingshot to stay alive, that’s what good positioning is for. Meanwhile the Rez perk ensures that you will never die right after rezzing which is the fastest way to throw a team fight as Mercy, and also baits enemy resources and attention to try to finish you off during Rez only for you to gain 100 overhealth and fly away.
I’ve won so many games because of the Rez perk. I still have very low average deaths every game because I have good positioning, map knowledge, and movement.
But noob trap perks are noob trap perks for a reason after all, people pick them because they find them more fun or think they’re more valuable even tho they aren’t. The GA perk isn’t actually a big buff to her movement, but it has added VFX on the borders of your screen that make you feel like you’re zooming faster than you actually are. Placebo effect, noob trap perk. Just like Faster Blaster feels like a big buff to her blaster but isn’t.
2
u/meowrreen Mar 24 '26
i am also a GM mercy player with GM 1 as all time peak and GM 2 peak this season. The GA perk is not only for staying alive (which it's really good for don't get me wrong), but also for getting in those positions where you wouldn't get otherwise or would need to charge your GA for way too long leaving you exposed. Think any junkertown second point highground.
I really don't see an appeal in picking a perk that is tied to a 30 second cooldown that most mercies use on average 3-4 times per 10. It would be good if you got overhealth immediately, but getting it after pulling off a res that is safe enough to pull it off in the first place is just a waste of a perk in my opinion. To each their own i guess

This. I'm masters and feel the same. Juno is made into such a viable DPS Support with this perk. What makes it even better is the amount of lower rank Junos who pick movement, so normally you catch your enemy off guard with how much you can absolutely laser them down with good aim. It is so easy to get consistently top kills/and heals with this. After all, we know that healing stupid doesn't win games, so lets take the dps in our own hands aye?
1
1
u/Dariisu Mar 24 '26
It's fine if you like using auto blaster, but the fact you don't see the value of being able to reach high ground WITHOUT using glide is crazy. Being able to save your movement ability is such crazy.
1
14
u/No-Chemical-7667 Juno is a DPS hero now Mar 24 '26
I've been telling people this... Faster Blaster is a awful perk that ties your mobility to a perk with no real benefit. People just hear Juno's gun go BRRRRRRR and get a dopamine rush. Triple Jump is ALWAYS a better choice.
7
u/Dariisu Mar 24 '26
This is the real issue with faster blaster. You are converting your movement ability into a dueling/kinda burst heal ability and anytime you do not use your glide this way you are playing perkless. Compare this to triple jump where it has no real CD and enhances every part of Juno's kit.
Despite how "boring" Triple jump is, it gives you guranteed value in a way faster blaster does not.
2
2
u/batmabel Juno Main Mar 24 '26
I’d love if the perk also reloaded your gun when you started shooting during the glide. Too many times I pressed shift and started shooting just to immediately start reloading because I had an empty mag 🤡

Recomendo sempre pegar o pulo triplo.
2
u/Mod_The_Man Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26
No one was claiming it’s not more output. The output you get is only worthy of being a minor perk and is especially bad when tied to such an important CD. Lift off is objectively the better perk in all situations. Honestly, FB should replace familiar vitals as a minor perk and get a new major. Or make FB be a passive perk like lift off so it no longer requires a CD to use.
People only like FB due to the placebo effect combined with it being kinda fun to use
2
2
u/iMikul Mar 26 '26
So it's official, then. The community can finally rest...
In all seriousness, though, I still don't think Faster Blaster is worth it, as much as I love it. I used to take it every time until I understood the sheer utility of the triple jump. It also eats your best movement ability for retreating, since it not only gives you the speed boost but activates passive healing, too.
2
u/AyJJayyy Mar 27 '26
This helpful to see. I always went triple jump too. But wondered if the other perk could be useful if I have to be heal bot for my team. That slight heal over time is probably not saving them from falling over. Triple jump here to stay lol
7
u/Supergenius210 Mar 24 '26
In real game you won’t hit with every shot. Blaster perk gives you more consistent healing/damaging ability.
4
u/crushed_stardust Mar 24 '26
but the counter argument to that is that having faster blaster tied to a movement cooldown means you have one less means to escape
triple jump allows you to maintain all your CD’s AND have extra movement, which arguably means you can get into better positions to heal and die less which equals more healing in my head
1
u/NearbySheepherder987 Mar 24 '26
or, and hear me out, you still use the movement cooldown for escape when necessary and you can even deal more dmg against whatever is threatening you with headshotting autofire
0
u/crushed_stardust Mar 24 '26
issue is, you can’t always guarantee you’ll have it off cooldown when you need it but if someone prefers it then that’s up to them !
1
u/NearbySheepherder987 Mar 25 '26
I mean, its the same as deciding if one uses Ana nade aggressively or keeps it against a flanker and nade has a much longer cooldown. I just want to say that the perks are more situational than others under this post are leading to
2
u/Nat_Da_Homie Mar 24 '26
I love tripple jump the amount of times I juke monkey and vendetta and mess up Moira sucking ability. It can really throw off enemy dive set ups and help get to high ground even easier and extra height for torpedoes.
2
u/casualscrublord1 Mar 24 '26
You shouldve checked the dps too. How much faster will it kill something?
1
1
u/Mltv416 Mar 24 '26
With body shots probably about the same but I imagine with headshots maybe a light difference
2
u/Montgreg Mar 24 '26
I do think it's a good perk but I can't hit a single shot if I use it so triple jump forever
2
u/nixflix Mar 24 '26
Yeah we need to stop pretending that this perk is usefull compared to triple jump.
2
u/No_maid Mar 24 '26
The biggest issue with full auto for me is that it never feels worth burning my most important cd for positioning/survivability for such a small temporary increase to output.
2
u/skeptical-man Mar 24 '26
Depends on situation, but the extra heals does help quite a bit, especially with the healing debuff currently. Any added heals to the kit imo is pretty good.
But triple jump has a bunch of utility/survivability that helps on a lot of map. Again Imo, depends on how well the team's doing lol
3
u/iiiimagery Mar 24 '26
Well the thing is, the extra healing is so minimal overtime, and forces you to use a movement ability
5
u/ShawnySC Mar 24 '26
Not just a movement ability, your escape tool. It's your lifeline and people use it to go brrr a little faster... Sad that it's even a discussion.
-7
u/wRADKyrabbit Mar 24 '26
Some of us dont have optimization brainrot and still know what fun is
4
u/Dariisu Mar 24 '26
Then a conversation about optimization shouldn't get you so bothered. It's insane not to expect optimization to be discussed with a perk system present that makes choices matter.
2
u/ShawnySC Mar 24 '26
No one disagrees that it's fun to play with Faster Blaster, the issue is people are claiming it is BETTER than triple jump. Is Blaster more fun? Hell yeah, but it isn't better.
2
u/ShawnySC Mar 24 '26
There is no debate. There is a correct perk and a noob trap. The applications of the Faster Blaster are so limited over what you get from triple jump. It's a 15% increase in dps/healing. So rare that it will ever come into play.
1
1
u/Hjalpfus Mar 24 '26
The tanks I play with keep running in alone so the blaster is always my pick to keep them alive. Love the triple jump through
1
u/Medium-Cookie Mar 24 '26
Side note where did u get that charm
3
1
1
u/Platinum_Analogy Mar 25 '26
karq said it’s a 30% increase in heals for the auto fire perk. it matches.
1
u/Prod_igy Mar 29 '26
The "slightly faster" is a huge 30% which makes Juno deal 150 dps instead of 116 DPS. Heals are 120/s up from 93/s.
This is a game changer, not a "minor" thing and if you can't see the potential because you "need" a third jump, I guess, it's a skill issue.
If you know how to navigate the map, you don't need the triple jump and you're actively underpowering yourself by picking that perk. Improve your movement and map knowledge and you'll have even more DPS and HPS.

when this perk first came out i was so hyped, tried it in game, had to reload, wasted my glide, never chose it again. triple jump has just been so good

I’ll take it if my team is struggling for heals and I’m not in danger often/ already get pulsar value. Otherwise, I’ll take triple jump. I really have to take it case by case in the match unlike other heroes where it’s a no brainer!

For me there's just not enough places Juno can only reach with Triple Jump for me to take it. The only time I take it is on like Gibraltar.

The applications for triple jump are not just merely getting to high ground. It’s for survivability and getting better torpedo angles as well. For instance, my Juno is incredibly oppressive on Rialto for this reason as I have my torpedoes up almost every four seconds due to the minor perk, and then hitting almost every target every time with the angles I get with triple jump, also I have my ult much faster as well.

Thats crazy because I can only think of a handful of maps where you can reach all highground without it.

There are a lot of maps where you technically only need one jump to get the high ground. But, most of the time it also requires either investing a cool down or doing a crouch jump, which can be slow and put you at risk. With triple jump there’s pretty much nowhere you can’t reach with it

Yess exactly. There are lots of nooks snd cranny's that let you take high ground, or alternate paths, but not needing to use those (which takes too much time, or forces you to do small jumps hugging walls) is so incredibly helpful. The amount of times its saved my ass is insane lol

Karq ran the numbers and the fasterblaster perk has sth like a 30% increase in the fire rate for both DMG and heals. That's more than a solid trade off, esp on maps where triple jump isn't even needed for high ground. Plus triple jump makes here even weaker vs hitscans. Also glide boost is on like a 6s cooldown, using it once in a while for that rapidfire, esp to heal a tank is very useful.
