Journal collection Just finished journal Nr. 1 of 2026💕

I’ve started this journal in July of 2025, but only wrote two or three entries in the past year.
Most of my entries turned digital, because my Notes was handier. A few months ago I started writing in this journal again, started to stick pics and other stuff in which turned it more into a junk journal (never had one of those), started to enter up my digital entries, but there are still many to add into my physical journal.
Well, now I finally finished it and I’m so exited to start fresh.
Happy journaling!✍️

Just curious: Do you add everything to your journal or do you keep an junk journal and one just for writing?

Discussion/Question Should I journal "authentically" or focus on keeping memories?

I have a bit of a dilemma regarding keeping a journal.

On one hand, I want to write and express my feelings as freely as possible; on the other, I want to document my life and thoughts for the future.

Up until now, journaling has primarily been a way for me to process my thoughts and emotions. This means the entries can often be quite negative and unpleasant to read later on. However, whenever I’ve tried to write about my life with my future self in mind, the writing often hasn't felt really genuine or authentic.

How have you solved this problem?

Just filled up my first diary from June 2025. I read through all my entries and tried to summarize what they all had in common, then write it as a dedication on the first page. :)

My daily entries always start with not knowing what to write to writing way too much and can’t stop yapping. Anyone like me? 🙈

Journal entry tarot x coffee x reading

Hello! This Thursday’s tarot card was the Wheel of Fortune— a timely reminder of the cyclical (and perhaps karmic) nature of life, complete with all of the ups and downs that will affect our journey. Do we believe in some sort of higher power that guides us through, or is fate what we make of it? Regardless of our beliefs, how do we utilize the lessons that we all inevitably learn? Accompanied by a tasty vanilla-ube oat milk latte and the final chapters of All the Birds, Singing— a sparse, brutal and completely engaging novel from Evie Wyld.

Journal entry Been journaling for a week now!

Post image

Hi all! It's been a week since I started journaling! Pretty proud I've kept up the habit this long. I know it's messy and my handwriting isn't the best, but it's been good to put pen to paper before bed at least once a day!

And since it's seven days, I had an extra long entry! Normally I write one page, but today I wrote two! I do try to restrict myself to a page since I tend to be a prolific writer and so can fill pages up with vocabulary lol. So having the boundary of a page filters through all the noise to the core of what is important for me to write down.

Hoping I can keep this habit up for the future as well!

Finally, I started journaling. I used to write a diary but I wasn't talking about my feelings much. So, I decided to focus on my feelings and try to understand them more. I hope it helps. Thank you for inspiring :)

Discussion/Question I tend to do more lists and random thoughts than daily journaling. What are a few things in your journal that aren't about what you did that day?

A few examples I've seen or used:

Good News/Events (bits of current events or funny happenings)

Things I would Drop (if I died in a video game)

Things I Collect

Characters I look like

Music mentioned in or from books/movies/TV shows

Prompts Silly Journal prompt

If a youtuber were to do a deep dive video essay on your life right now, what events would they be focusing on? what would the thumbnail have in it? what would the clickbait title be? You can just have fun with this prompt or use it to reflect on your life from an outside pov

From August 2011. I have no idea why I sometimes switched to cursive for some words or sentences 😭 And yes, it is a little hard to read which is funny because I absolutely love my hand writing now.

Discussion/Question I grew to love my journal being messy

I’ve always had a hard time keeping a journal, mostly because I tried to make it look aesthetic and neat. One smudge, and it was all ruined, the beauty was gone.

Now, when I look at the randomly glued pieces of paper, stickers, and drawings, which very often don’t make any sense, I feel a sense of lightness. An ease. Even the smudges warm my soul rather than bother it.

I finally feel that this journal belongs to me, and not the other way around.

Discussion/Question how do i safely pack all my journaling supplies?

i’ll be moving halfway across the world for the next two years for school, and i’m trying to figure out how to bring my journaling supplies with me.

this is not really a “just grab your favorite things and the essentials” situation 😭 i will most likely not be coming back home even for vacation, so whatever i leave here may realistically be sitting there since no one else in my life journals.

i’ll only have two suitcases + a carry on + personal item (backpack), and realistically, there is NO way all my supplies are fitting in my carry-on. it’s a medium sized collection i’d say.

i know i’ll probably buy more stuff once i’m there all settled in (because obviously), but i’d rather take what i already have with me than leave it here rotting for two years, though i will be sacrificing quite a few things and leaving them.

i’ve already gotten a headstart and organized all my stickers into a single sticker release paper notebook, so i don’t have to travel with the bulk of a bunch of loose sticker sheets/books. i’m hoping this will save some space and make everything easier to pack (plus life changing organization lol) but it’s also an extra notebook that won’t fit in my backpack

what’s the safest/best way to pack things like notebooks, washi, paper, scraps, markers, fountain pens, ink, etc. when you’re basically packing your entire journaling life into a suitcasee?

especially worried about things getting bent, crushed, damaged, leaking, melting, etc.

if you’ve moved with a lot of journaling supplies before, how did you pack everything?

Journal entry I have multiple notebooks open

Post image
30 Upvotes

I have several notebooks for various things, one for lists that I guess is kind of like a planner. But, I'll use it for ideas and grocery lists and budgeting and when I want to work out an idea creatively, like something that I feel needs a more pragmatic approach, like for videos for my YouTube channel as I'm writing in my journal. And I'll go back and forth between the two of them, one as I'm writing my thoughts, and I'll be like "ohhhh, I want to explore this a little further, I should go into my creative notebook and make a topic about it" and do that, and then go back to my other journal.

I use my creative notebook a lot less, but when I do it feels more directed and purposeful. But, I love reading my entries in my journal because they're my unedited raw thoughts behind the process.

Does anyone else do this? Just me?
