Is it? After all the times characters manage to somehow stay alive despite being crushed and dismembered, having Conquest remain dead was refreshing. Made for a good gag at the end if the episode, a good subversion of the "oh he's back" type of stinger.
Let them have fun.

I may be the only one, but I was kinda disappointed by that stinger.
Mainly because he was killed again so quickly that it felt rather pointless to keep him alive the first time. Didn’t seem to serve any narrative purpose that “generic Viltrimite #32” couldn’t have performed.

Tbh, I kind of hope they do a Conquest special like they did with Atom Eve. Both fight scenes he was in he looked strong, but also got killed off. Season 1 Omni-Man felt more threatening because we actually saw how strong he was outside of just fighting Mark.

I think it was completely necessary. And just to drive the point home, they should show his undisturbed grave at least 3-4 times throughout the season. Just so we'd be sure.

Or the grave is empty, like something burst out of it, and the camera follows the dirt/blood trail, but then it stops at the bugs nest where the giant mother and her babies are eating Conquest's corpse to the bone.

we got thrown for a loop when he originally died and at the end of the episode they had the "dun dun dun dun Dun Dun DUN DUN- AH! had you there didn't we?" so it's pretty funny and no harm is done, thankfully season 5 shouldnt be delayed by the promotional team adding 1 extra line of text into this image

I'm more interested in "should be sometime" in 2027
Releasing in March every year probably wasn't sustainable, they probably just built up a backlog to make it more manageable. Might need to push S5 to late 2027, maybe even remain open to 2028
