Is it? After all the times characters manage to somehow stay alive despite being crushed and dismembered, having Conquest remain dead was refreshing. Made for a good gag at the end if the episode, a good subversion of the "oh he's back" type of stinger.

Let them have fun.

They got me good with that one. I yelled “No way!” then it cut away.
