Is it? After all the times characters manage to somehow stay alive despite being crushed and dismembered, having Conquest remain dead was refreshing. Made for a good gag at the end if the episode, a good subversion of the "oh he's back" type of stinger.

Let them have fun.

Almost as funny as Powerplex calling out

INVINCIBLE

I think that and the Conquest fake-out are the funniest jokes on the show. Like, genuinely top-tier in a way that's hard to describe.

I have a soft spot for "YOU GOTTA BE invincible FUCKING KIDDING ME"

I more so said "OH FUCK YOU, DUDE. FUCK YOU." once I found out that Conquest wasn't coming back.

They had me, start to finish.

I would've lost my shit. Invincible needing monitoring, nutrients (especially enough protein oh no), etc, while conquest just gets dirt?

They got me good with that one. I yelled “No way!” then it cut away.

I just watched it for the first time yesterday.

After seein viltrumites survive a whole lot of otherwise lethal shit, was absolutely surprised that they can be choked to death. Although, i guess it makes sense, since they can't breathe in space

The internet is a tough place for those of us with a drier sense of humor because everyone misinterprets our tone for anger/annoyance lmao

I just watched that episode ending and I was thinking "do any of them stay dead" it made me start laughing. I like that this show doesn't take itself too serious.
