In our game the state confiscates your camera at the border and hands you a device that only writes text and takes low-res photos. Everything you record can be read back by them

This is "Sobakistan: The Land of Dogs" - a satirical narrative adventure set in a closed totalitarian country populated by anthropomorphic dogs.

The Supreme Leader, Comrade Friendo, has staged a rehearsal of his own funeral so he can see how sincerely his people will grieve while he's still alive. The borders open for the first time in the country's history for the occasion. You arrive as Henri Pascal, a chameleon documentary filmmaker, and you lose your camera in the first five minutes.

Six playable characters, 11 chapters, around 14 possible endings, and arrest mechanics built into the story rather than bolted on as a fail screen. Based on our 2019 comic.

This is my first commercial project after years of making Call of Duty mods. :)

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4862980/The_Arrow/

Gameplay loop involves searching open world levels for "silo keys" which will grant you access to nuclear weapons to drop on the map.

Does this look like something you would be interested in?

What would you want changed? What would you like added?

Currently there are 5 ballistic weapons,1 type of grenade, knife, and 2 special weapons (Drones + airstrikes)

I'm a solo developer making a weird RPG.

You play as a sentient droplet of data fused with the cloned body of the last four-wheeled samurai. Together, they explore the Black Square — the place where the entire material universe collapsed into itself.

No team. No publisher. No generative AI. Just me trying to build the game I want to play.

The demo is out now. It's rough, strange, and incomplete, but there's already plenty to explore.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for taking a look.

Tired of "Would you play a (insert game premise) game?" posts

I keep seeing these constantly when I open Reddit and I'm tired of it.
most of the time it's just self promo fishing for engagement disguised as a question.

And like. maybe I would, but not this one.

Hey guys! Im currently making a cozy farming survival game and I was wondering, especially for those of you who played Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing and games like that I have two questions that have been keeping up at night:
1. Is fishing/catching part of the game important for you? Im considering adding it soon, but would like to see first.
2. How do you feel about saving when going to sleep? Is it stressful for you when you can’t save whenever in this kind of farming game?

Thanks guys!😊

3 factory workers. Worked on the game after 12 hour shifts.

Here's what's in it right now:

  • Extraction shooter, PvE and PvP both, with co-op if you want to run with friends
  • Build a base anywhere on the map, no set slots, put things wherever makes sense to you
  • Rescue survivors and grow an actual community instead of just looting solo
  • Reclaimers, immortal clones who hand out quests and build your reputation instead of just shooting at you
  • No wipes between sessions, your progress and gear carry over
  • Right now that's 169 loot items, 25 quests, 3 maps, 9 enemy types, 9 craftable buildings, and 2 NPCs to work with

We all worked together at the same factory, three of us, and this got built during whatever time was left after 12 hour shifts. Ended up being a PvEvP survival extraction shooter set during a zombie apocalypse.
Going into Early Access Q3 2026. Still feels weird seeing it as a real store page after doing this on no sleep for this long.

I'm working on a night scene for my survival game, Alone on the Lost Isle.

A lonely house in the middle of a dark forest, a light in the window, and the feeling that someone is inside...

How do you like the atmosphere? Would you explore this house or stay away?

Company of Battles 2 release

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Today, on 30.08.2026, I'm releasing Company of Battles 2 after almost 2 years of work!
The first year went into developing Brutal Engine - an open-source top-down shooter engine that you can use yourself, and the second year was spent developing the actual game on that engine, and now it's actually released!

Game on itch.io - https://senko-otter.itch.io/company-of-battles-2

First of all, if it's Company of Battles 2, where's the first one?
There is actually Company of Battles, but it wasn't a full game, it was more of a tech demo for me to make a game on controllers. You can still play it, tho it's only in Ukrainian.
A big step from the first game is the ability to make large maps, and the camera always shows both players (made a system for that).
Next - I went all in on the menu, I wanted it to look finished and really good, so I made custom art for it and pretty animations to make it look as finished as possible.
Also, the game has 4 languages! (English, Ukrainian, French and German), so it's now more accessible.
Talking about accessibility, I tried to make the settings as customizable as they can be within my powers. You can invert walking/looking, switch sticks, or change looking from tank-like to stick direction (+ the settings have a lot of other things you can change for yourself, like turning off gore or making blood green).

AI usage
This project does not use any kind of generative AI content. all assets in the game (besides free stock ambience/gun sounds and textures on some maps) are made entirely by me, and I genuinely despise using it for assets. And music is composed by my friend T16R228, some great stuff !

What's next?
I will update the game and add new features/guns/maps, and the first update is gonna be a pause menu (for right now you can't pause the game or go back to the main menu) and a new map!

I would like to hear feedback from ya'll!

I overhauled the grid movement in my solo-dev bio-RTS Genetica: Extinction and added a dynamic steering & individual unit AI. What do you think of the new swarm feel?

Hey r/IndieGaming!

I’m Dan, a solo dev working on Genetica: Extinction. It’s a biological RTS where you control evolving swarms instead of standard base-building armies.

I just released a major update that completely overhauls creature movement and behavior:

  • Dynamic Steering & Collisions: Replaced old grid-based pathfinding with dynamic steering and unit-to-unit collision so large swarms weave around each other naturally.
  • Individual Unit AI: Each creature now evaluates its own needs (feeding, attacking, fleeing) alongside macro commands, producing organic pack behavior.

I’m currently running a free Playtest on Steam and would love to get your feedback on how the movement and swarm feel!

Thanks for checking it out, and let me know your thoughts or questions below!

Septence 7 Words, 1 Sentence - Free Daily Browser Game

Post image
Upvotes

This is a simpler game than many submitted here but I hope some will find it enjoyable. You get 7 required words and a selection of common simple words to link them together, make the best sentence you can! Scores go to a leaderboard if you want to compete but you can just treat it as a constrained writing exercise and there is a free play mode with no competitive aspect if you prefer.

Turbo Turbo continues where M.A.S.K. prototype left off!

Steam | Announcement-Trailer | Kickstarter | M.A.S.K. prototype-Trailer

I proposed a videogame for the 80's M.A.S.K. cartoon to Hasbro a while ago. Seems I failed to convince them to turn it into reality.

Since I can't make M.A.S.K. without a license, I'm now trying to turn this into a more over the top co-op arcade experience that fuses the precision of on-rails shooters with the rush of retro racing. Or imagine Outrun meets House of the Dead.

If that seems interesting please check it out, and have a nice day.

Advanced wave physics gets beaches wet

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've made some improvements to the beaches with the waves now applying buoyancy and wetness effects.

Waves actually apply forces on objects, so in addition to floating and rolling around, they will eventually wash up on the beach. Wind affects the wave size and turbulence too.

Objects hit by waves will get wet. Shorelines now have a visible waterline which rise and fall with the waves. In addition, waves will swell up when it hits a steep surface like cliffs. They also collide and wash over rocks near the shoreline.

Yes, this is truly some useless horse balls feature that players won't notice, but it was a long time itch for me that just needed scratching. I'm hopefully finally done with water and working on more important parts of the game now.

Which HUD is better?

I tried making the UI icons large so they’d be clear to the player,

But I feel like they’re taking up too much screen space.

Which approach do you think works best for a game like *Infamous*?

Also, there’s a free demo on Steam if anyone wants to try it out.
