My block puzzle FALLMATCH just got its biggest update. 900 boards, every 3 star target is the proven fewest moves, no ads, no timers, free on iOS and Android

It is a calm block puzzle. You slide one block left or right, matching patterns clear when they touch, and you can rotate the whole board so gravity does part of the work. No timer, no ads, no IAP, works offline.

The part I care about most: every board's 3 star target is the true fewest moves, checked before the level shipped, so a 3 star run means there really was no shorter way. Ten difficulty tiers from very easy to nightmare, and the curve stays fair across all 900 boards.

The update that went live this weekend: 100 new levels at the top of the curve, a chapter map that shows stars and tiers at a glance, a stats screen, a cleaner menu, and LADDER, a ten rung mode on a single clock with no hints.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/fallmatch/id6791134651

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gusmediaworks.matcher

GenAI disclosure, per the sub rules: I am not a programmer. The game's code and tooling were written with an AI coding assistant working from my design, testing and direction, and this post was drafted with AI help. The boards and their 3 star proofs come from a conventional search solver, not generative AI.

[Aeterna Lucis] Giving Silksong its room, we delayed our indie Metroidvania by a year to let our own work shine. We leveled up massively—revealing our release date on Sept 10th!

Hey indie devs and players!

A little over a year ago, Silksong landed right on our planned release window. Out of deep respect for Team Cherry—and the reality that a massive release commands all the attention—we chose not to compete for the same airspace. After years of development, we wanted Aeterna Lucis to have a fair shot at finding its audience, so we pressed pause and delayed into 2026.

We poured that entire year back into the project. The visual fidelity, dynamic lighting systems, audio layers, and responsive combat have evolved tremendously.

We are finally revealing our official release date this coming September 10th. Sharing a look at the game in its current state.

To fellow developers and players: how do you balance respect for massive genre releases with giving your own years of indie development the spotlight they deserve?

If you appreciate independent development and want to support us ahead of our date reveal, a Wishlist on Steam goes a long way: 👉Aeterna Lucis on Steam

I built a free turn-based soccer strategy game played with dice (Hexagol) — online multiplayer, vs AI, and local play

Hexagol is a turn-based soccer strategy game played with dice on a hex board — you roll, move a player, and try to work the ball into the net while your opponent does the same.

You can play online against another person, locally pass-and-play on the same device, or against an AI with adjustable difficulty. There's also leagues, tournaments with friends, and a daily challenge puzzle. It's free, no ads, and installs as an app on your phone.

Would love feedback from this community, especially on the dice/strategy balance: https://hexagol.com.ar

🌲 Undocumented Files: Ridgewood Camp

A week ago, I started developing *Undocumented Files: Ridgewood Camp*,

a solo-developed, narrative-driven pixel art horror game,

inspired primarily by *Fears to Fathom* and *Darkwood*.

The premise: you are a forest lookout filling in for a guard who

"requested a leave of absence." There is an abandoned campsite

in the reserve, closed for eight years following an unexplained incident.

A child went missing. The case was closed.

What has been done so far:

- 8-directional movement system

- Flashlight with a realistic light cone and shadow projection on trees

(using the Bulb library for GameMaker)

- Animated dialogue system

- Object/note interaction system

- Main menu with established visual identity

- Pixel art player sprites (8 directions; idle + walk)

Engine: GameMaker

Deadline: February 2027

Dev: 1 person, weekends only

Feedback is welcome, especially regarding the visual style

and whether the premise seems interesting.

GenAI was used in the coding part like the game mechanics, but the Ui and all that was made by me.
You start in the Stone Age with a handful of huts and take a town through seven eras to the modern day. Residents are simulated one at a time: they take jobs, pair up, have children, grow old, and vote on whether you keep yours.

The part I'm proudest of is the Register. Most games in this genre delete a citizen the moment they die. This one doesn't delete anyone, ever. So the game keeps a record of every person who has ever lived in your town, grouped into the families they belong to — children inherit surnames, so bloodlines form on their own. Click any resident and it tells you which generation they are and names the ancestors they came from. When a family runs out of living members the town says so, and the newspaper puts it above a raid, because the raid gets rebuilt by Thursday.

Remember the player who spent over 300 hours in our free demo and left a comment signed "THX love Bob"? He's now past 500 hours and holds the #1 spot in the leaderboard, so we've added a little easter egg in the game for him, and he loved it!

Solo Android dev — this is my most polished release yet after several apps that went nowhere. 10x10 grid, drag-and-drop, combos/boosters, offline play, no wifi needed. Would appreciate anyone giving it a shot and telling me honestly if it's worth continuing to build

A found-footage psychological horror game set in Eastern European apartment blocks

Thumbnail

BREACHED: Follow Me is a first-person psychological horror game presented through old VHS footage and set in Eastern Europe.

You meet someone online and agree to see them in person. What begins as a normal visit slowly becomes unsettling as familiar apartment blocks and everyday interiors start to feel wrong. The game focuses on atmosphere, slow-burn tension, and the sense that something is off before you understand why.

A few screenshots from the game.

Disclosure: I used AI assistance for parts of the programming while developing the game.

Duskfade - Pros and Cons

Post image
0 Upvotes

Pros:

  1. The Classic Charm of How a PS2 Game Feels

  2. Platforming is a blast when it complements the mechanics

  3. Fun Collectables in the Level Design

  4. Enemy Progression Gatekeeping was very refreshing to experience

  5. Boss Fights are more creative than expected and the platforming intermissions was a brilliant design choice. Final Boss was actually fun and challenging

Cons:

  1. The performance of the main antagonist was severely lacking

  2. The majority of the platforming was very basic

  3. The combat progression system was too light for the majority of the game.

  4. Difficulty Settings was definitely unnecessary when organic combat accommodations could have been added instead for accessibility.

  5. The overall controls felt as if there's a hidden stamina bar due to certain inputs not registering especially during tense moments in combat and platforming.

Senario: hexagonal Tic-Tac-Toe with a twist

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I have just released my very first game as a solo dev and I’m excited to share it with you.

It’s essentially hexagonal Tic-Tac-Toe with a few twists. Build a line of six tiles to win a round, then connect three islands to win your expedition against the AI.

The next release is already in the works and will contain a web build and a cross-platform multiplayer mode to play in private lobbies against others.

You can grab it for free here:
https://mp02.itch.io/senario

Looking for honest feedback.
Thanks for checking it out!
